Had to start a thread on this after finally watching the stream. What a fantastic preview. The route looks about as good as it gets, almost photographic, terrific station modeling, trackwork. great gameplay, terrific timetable, so much AI traffic, even the night lighting was very good. But mostly, I wanted to congratulate the four presenters. So good humored, funny at times, had me chuckling. Also very informative from Brandon and Eddie who really knew the route and the trains. Near perfect driving from Matt. Nice hosting from DTG Harry with a great sense of humor. And to do such a terrific job for 4 hours straight!! Again, congrats to all.
I've only watched part of it and the route looks good. As I said elsewhere think Matt was playing a bit fast and loose with the tea and biscuit possibility, accelerating back up to 60 with a mile to go... I also do wish they'd switch off the awful coloured track stop markers and the objective ones too. Also got to say 4 hours is a bit long for a stream, I know they are keen to show things off but by the time I watch it in chunks, the real thing will be here.
They knocked the ball out of the park. A bit dramatic, but it almost felt too good to be true, especially as a long-time US content player. Happy we will have this in our hands in about a week!
Really appreciate your feedback. For me is about what we figured you guys wanted to see.I consider my self a gamer first and this is where I came from. I know we had a rough start with NYT and I wanted to show this was so much different. From the distant scenery, to the flawless signaling, the tremendous job on the catenary, the arrow, multilevels,ALP45 and ALP46, and the station art work, The entire team has worked very hard on the route. We’ll continue to gather feedback and constructive criticism which the teams welcome. There’s always room for improvement
Overall it looks pretty attractive and perfect. But sound effect of acceleration on Arrow 3 still got rooms for some improvement. Instead of growing louder and louder during the speed from 0 to 20mph, the audio volume should be kept at the same level (should have veing maintained at a high volume all the way). All the other details are extremely perfect as hell
If a train, especially an electric train, seems too quiet, my first instinct is to open the cab windows, even in the dead of winter. This also helps with passing AI trains which can be almost silent on some routes. Plus high quality headphones are a must for me.
Yeah the sound on this game really benefits from a good output. As for opening windows, I’d do this more if there was a setting for how much wind noise gets into the cab, however opening the furthest window from you is usually the best compromise.
