For me (surprisingly) it’s an Azuma run from Doncaster to Peterborough on ECML. Always a guilty pleasure but I figure there’s a sort of twisted symmetry there with the first train I drive in TSW6 undoubtedly the Class 802 Cucumber, so finish up TSW5 with an 801 run.
For me a 390 from Milton Keynes to Euston on the OTS Timetable. The route should have never been launched in the state it was in, but with fixes and a few mods it’s become one of my favourites despite Euston being a ghost town. If Riviera is as good as the screenshots, I doubt I’ll play much else for a while. First run will be in an HST.
Class 86/2 on west coast mainline 1980s Class 31 or 45 on Blackpool branches And finally probably the class 33 or 52 on west Somerset railway it will be one of these
A late afternoon / early dusk run from Garmisch to Innsbruck in the 111. Will be spectacular - and what I thought of TSW5 as a whole. So looking forward to TSW6.
Due to my timetable progress going missing, I find myself back at East Coastway trying to complete the timetable again. I was gonna raise a ticket with DTG about my progression loss, but I enjoy playing East Coastway too much. It is great at getting rid of stress, you can just drive it and chill out, it is like going on holidays and this route will be seeing in TSW 6.
Well Riviera line for me even though the traction doesn’t quite match my preferred era. Then probably the NJT route as it looks well made. Dresden to Leipzig, well I’ll probably take a run on Mittenwald and WCML Shap before I check that out.
Same for me hoping the riviera route is up with WCMLOS quality looking forward. The NJT route looks really good and the arrow looks very interesting to drive. I think im less interested in the German route because we have so many of them but will still drive it but not as much I think.
I think I'm gonna do the same I did for the last three versions: Do a particular service on the old one, then update and do the exact same service again, to compare the experience From 2 to 3 I don't remember exactly, but I think it was with the 612 on Tharandter Rampe. From 3 to 4 it was a 628 run on Niddertalbahn. From 4 to 5 it was on Maintalbahn with the (at the time relatively new) 218. From 5 to 6 I'll probably go for Mittenwaldbahn and the 111 or perhaps something involving an ICE on S-Bahn Frankfurt
I’ll be keeping TSW5 for Oakland and Pen Corridor so I guess when I do finally uninstall it it’ll be on of these 2
Don't even remember what it was, i uninstalled a couple of weeks ago. Definitely ready for a fresh start with 6- i don't think 5 brought enough new to the table and performance was atrocious imo. So far the signs are encouraging- hopefully the Riviera stream keeps the positive momemtum going. Still wish they could do a 2-year cycle for iterations rather than annually, but...whatcha gonna do lol
I'm doing a UK rail trip before TSW6, starting in Leven, then Edinburgh on Fife Circle, Heading to Glasgow from there on Edinburgh to Glasgow. From Glasgow jumping back 49 years and over the border to Carlisle with an 86' 87 to Preston, then across England on a rail replacement bus to Doncaster (wouldn't be journey on rail without one.), where I'll drive the Azuma to Peterborough. Next down to London, where the Javelin awaits me on a service to Ashford, afterwards from Eastbourne to Brighton (on a service originating from Ashford.). Another rail replacement bus back to London then onto Reading and finally arriving in Wales with a local service from Cardiff Central to Radyr where my TSW5 journey will terminate.
Last run I've made was on the Dutch SZ-G route. I really like that one. Looking forward to the NJT route and Riviera on launch.
I'm fancying a round-trip across Birmingham, I've had the 170 pack for a month and still not seen how much better the route is with AI.
We should all congratulate Vern on getting close to finishing reading the dictionary he got for Christmas last year.
