Hello everyone, I have a great American route suggestion. Now before we get into this I want to say that I'm fully aware about U.S. freight content being on hiatus along with DTG not having access to certain licenses. However I have a feeling that DTG will get lucky in the future. Now with that out of the way lets dive on in to this route.

The Amtrak Springfield Line is a route in the eastern U.S.A that travels 60 miles between New Haven Connecticut and Springfield Massachusetts. The line travels along the Quinnipiac river and through several different cities up towards Hartford. Continuing north of Hartford, the line then follows the Connecticut River before crossing over to the East Banks outside of Winsor Locks. The line was constructed in the mid 1800's and was later owned by the New Haven Railroad. In 1976 Conrail sold the line to Amtrak. The Springfield Line is part of only 623 miles of track owned and maintained by Amtrak rather than being owned by one of the major freight operators. Today the line plays host to 3 different Amtrak services, Connecticut Southern railroad freight trains, and CT Hartford Line commuter trains that are operated by Conn Dot. The Amtrak Services mainly include a couple of Northeast Regionals, the Vermonter, the Valley Flyer and several New Haven to Springfield Shuttle Service trains.

Now lets get into the rolling stock for the route. Here's a list of rolling stock that should be included with the route.

    The Amtrak P42DC.

    Connecticut Southern RR B39-E

    CT Rail GP40E

As for rolling stock, Amtrak rolling stock can be recycled from either Boston Sprinter or NYC-Trenton since the Amfleet I's and the Metroliner Cab Cars already exist in game. Additional rolling stock should include the following.

    CT Rail Mafersa Cab cars

Here's what should be included for freight rolling stock.

    Boxcars

    Centerbeam cars

    Tanker cars
    [IMG]
    Hopper cars
    [IMG]
    Bulkhead flatcars

Other freight rolling stock should just be recycled from the freight routes that already exist in TSW. Thats all I need to say.

Pity we can't get this route set in the 1940s-60s with New Haven power. Some NH loco suggestions: Alco PA-1/PB-1, FA-1/FB-1, FM C-Liner A/B (several versions), GP9, GP7, and/or EP5 "Jet." Include the NH "McGinnis" livery on locos.

Yes. Although I have played the TSC version. I would love to see a modern era version of this route.

I did mention that I was aware about DTG not having licensing with Connecticut Southern and CT Rail. I'm saying that if DTG gets lucky, then this would be a great route to do.

I would love to see what the TSC version looks like in TSW, but I'm interested in seeing what the present day version looks like.
