That's the "new normal" for new routes. I was asking the same question about the NL route: "Wait, only three jobs for five minutes?" - "Yes, nowadays that line is not used often for shunting."
The tutorial is bugged on ps5. When you get to the handbrake section, the objective doesn't complete when you release it, meaning the tutorial can not be completed. Happened two consecutive times
I'm on PS5 and I am having all sorts of issues with it in the scenarios Leipzig's Little Helper - get to the first part where you have to couple the tanks and then uncouple the tanks, the brakes lock on and the engine won't respond Chemical Chaos - it says you can do 80kmh, the engines die at 40kmh and then the brakes lock on. If you get through that part, you approach Weissg and the whole thing dies at 40kmh ad then you just roll to a stop and there is only one way you go from there and that is back down the hill you came up I drove the 204 and the 363, this makes them look like a Class 150, that's how bad the driving experience is
My first thoughts: - I think it was a good choice of DLC, I like having diesel locos for a change Bugs (I'm on PC Steam): - When a fuel pump is attached, the pump is not correctly aligned with the inlet
Not tried this loco yet, but on the stream wasn’t there some sort of lockout you need to reset if you have the loco stationary for more than a couple of minutes?
When I'm going up the mainline with the BR294 I only get shunting signals (Sh1), with a maximum speed of 20km/h. Is it a bug or am I doing something wrong?
Objective "Lower the Coupler" isn't shown on HUD and doesn't register as complete once both couplers have been lowered. Also, please get rid of the terrible AI voice-over. It pronounces the plural "294s" as "294-S", and is generally just a monotonous voice. Real humans are better at this.
I really want to like this locomotive but I have a couple of issues with it: 1. There is no PZB help display when driving the locomotive. 2. Running with PZB and SIFA doesn't give you the proper points. 3. There is no manual or tutorial explaining how shunting signals and PZB work with this locomotive.
Can anyone point me in the right direction as how to turn on safety i switch the sufa leaver to on and flip the pzb switch on and still tells me to switch am I missing fuse or something. Thank
Came here to ask the same thing. Once again the question has to be asked- why no manual? Why don't keyboard shorttcuts work?
Im on xbox x i looked high and low and cannot find anything else to switch on. And not a manual in sight.
I also can't figure out why I can't get full points with safety systems on. I think it's just bugged like the DB Vectron.
While its really nice to see that the Temperature gauges are functional, the cooling fan does not seem to work, the coolant temperature is rising to nearly 100°c, but the fan is not moving at all.
Anyone else struggling to drive this thing i doen the tutorial. And worked all ok now trying job and cant release traction. Keeps saying, set the indirect brake cut off to normal to release train brake. Im guessing thats the loco brake. Figured it out i did not flip the brake switch over. But safety systems all on but does keep say activate pzb. Think there is a bug there unless im missing DTG Harry DTG Alex would mind confirming thanks.
Tried the tutorial and had the same issue, cannot release the brakes after changing reverser direction.
Yep that's in the tutorial before you get moving but doesn't fix the issue. Just tried a scenario and the brakes won't release in reverse again. Given up for now until it's fixed, or I find more patience lol. Edit, it seems to be stuck on at 1.4 bar but both the train and locomotive brakes are off, the reverser, traction lock, and traction release are correctly set, the cut-off is normal and compressor in on. Oh, and the handbrake is off. Don't know what else there is to do!
There is a switch where you can choose between loco brake or Train brake. The unlock button works for both brakes separate.
I've tried the Leipzig's Little Helper scenario twice now, but I keep running into the same problem. I'm very curious to know why and if I'm missing something. I also play on the PS5.
The traction lever have to be in a correct setting to unlock the brakes. I thought brake release setting. Then you can unlock the brakes and give traction.
As mentioned in my post above, all these levers and buttons were already correctly set. Thank you for venturing solutions but please read carefully the posts.
PZB notifications don't appear. May be connected to the erroneous "Turn on PZB" reminder (Yes, it's on, and I have the ZB to prove it).
All right, this machine has a failsafe to prevent runaways. Basically, the loco cannot be left standing with no brakes on. When you put the controller in "Release brakes" when stationary, the system keeps about a bar and a bit of pressure. To release it (and the traction lock) you have to either Push and hold the "Release emergency brake" switch and then immediately - even before the brakes come fully off - put the controller into a power position; this keeps the brakes from re-setting. Push and hold the "Release emergency brake" switch and keep holding it after all pressure is bled off for about another five seconds
Am I the only one thinking this should have been dumbed down a bit for the game? I tried the 294 in Zusi 3 when the TSW one was announced and other than my slow old brain not realising it was a PBC, it was otherwise straightforward to drive. Might take a look at this later, after finishing my Voyager run on South Devon.
Thank you for this, it takes a bit of getting used to but is now releasing fine. This should really be in the tutorial, or at least in the user guide. Oh wait... P.S. Fiddly on a PC, but God help gamepad players!
I think they should have made to different mode for this standard where as you dont need to do much and better instructions and a expert mode for people who want do everything.
Running into the same issue others already reported. I have Sifa and pzb turned on, but I’m only getting 35 points iso 65 and the game tells me to turn on pzb or get more points…. Hope this bug gets fixed with a patch tomorrow
I am on PC (steam) Yes , i can also confirm that the fan is not working. Also the coolant temperature is very low even for an idling engine (it's like ambient temperature on idle (25°c)). only on cold start should the temperature be so low , and as the engine idles it should raise . with a warmed up engine it should not drop below 65°c. at prolonged full power it gets approximately where it should and of course the fan should have already kicked in before . that's the a more realistic temp range 65- 92c for a working engine) On the other hand the transmission oil temperature is better simulated , as the transmission does not work when idling , and the only heat that gets transfered to it is from the diesel engine (should also be above ambient temp, but slightly). I think both the not working fan , and the engine coolant temperature simulation need to be fixed. And , also it should layer to most german routes of course Otherwise its a wonderfull loco, and it's also engaging to drive
Even though I'm on PC, I play with a gamepad. They added AFB speed confirmation for the Vectron via gamepad. Why not add it to the layout, like the bell on American locomotives? This is, of course, a rhetorical question, but perhaps DTG will do something about it, since the main audience plays on consoles...
Trying the TC tutorial. Got past the section with the handbrake by fully reapplying then releasing it. However the engine is not starting when I hold the dial in start. Edit: Restarted scenario and this time it worked. Let's see how far before the next bug rears its head!
Where is the shunting/main line mode switch? Not covered in the tutorial and I've been round all the buttons/levers, can't see it for looking! NVM, found it, but you need to stop to operate it, can't change on the move,
Get in the driving position and its a leaver to your on side where the switches are. If what you mean is long distance or shunting leaver.
Thanks Dal. After looking around and trial and error, found it. I think once we learn this loco and it's quirks, will be a fun one to drive. Nicer than the 363, that's for sure.
I have done a few runs in it and its a beast so much more powerful then the 363. Just takes a bit of getting used too
L1 releases the standing brake on PS5. Having that on the controller definitely makes this train easier to drive.
Good to know. Just pressed a few buttons and I've discovered that on keyboard the traction release is on the < and > keys (dynamic brake assignments).
PS5 I'm playing the second scenario with BR294, currently Chemical Chaos and we got stuck in the chemical station, again, like in the previous scenario, suddenly Increase power doesn't respond and the locomotive won't start...... I'll try the I'm stuck function again? Am I doing something wrong, or is the error somewhere else? Thank you I applied the release traction lock and nothing helped...it doesn't react.
Thank You Yes, I see, at the beginning it is not active and there is no command to turn it on... I tried again, I turned it on and it works without getting stuck for once.... thank you again
