Yes the signalling between Hemerdon and Totnes was done on the cheap, essentially a home colour light preceded by the distant replaced each manual signalbox. Creates a bit of a bottleneck as the sectional running time from Aish to Totnes is 8 minutes unlike the usual 4 minute headway under proper MAS colour light signalling.

It's not going to Paignton. Its next service doesn't appear on platform PIS since it's empty to the sidings to reverse; you're seeing the PIS for the next GWR service to use that platform. :)

    I’ve been enjoying the route on Xbox SX but noticed a few issues;
The cab announcements audio level doesn’t save and resets to 100% when restarting the game.
I had a random fault come up in the class 150 but had random faults switch off from the menu.
Braking on the 150 needs to have volume dialled back a bit.
Distant scenery especially around Dawlish pops in and is quite immersion breaking. Has this issue for Xbox SX ever been looked at?
The water looks a bit sketchy at times.

They’ve had so many tweaks or software modifications since they came into service, but it’s not uncommon now to have only two working generators out of 3 on a London bound service from the West Country! I honestly think we should have gone for Stadler flirt units instead.

On diesel only they struggle to get anywhere near 125mph, and the model in the simulator also accelerates way too fast in my opinion. It is too slow to move away as well.

The door operation on these is also done partly by us at the moment. The guards don’t have any door control unless we press the yellow door control button on the desk. By that I mean they cannot open any local door with a key or use the red release buttons.

Upon arrival at a station stop, the train is brought to a stand at the correct platform stop marker. This is really important at some stations, especially when the tolerance of he last door sometimes is only a few feet! Bath Spa on the down springs to mind. Then we check the TMS SDO has the correct location and format, before then pressing the two door release buttons on the platform side.

The train manager then closes the doors only, and when they key in we get a little guard symbol on the train display. The external BIL will also flash at their location.

It’s also interesting to know that all modifications LNER have had done to their sets have also been applied to ours too.

My timetable drive with a Class 220 didn't count towards Riviera Mastery objective "Drive 80 miles / 128km".

A fantastic job and attention to detail whoever was responsible for the signalling on Riveria line the detailing really shows for example at signal Echo 188 that routes trains at newton abbot to either Paignton branch or Plymouth as I noticed not only a location cabinet but also when signals change very noticeable relay clicking and as a tech geek I really do appreciate these additions as well as the clatter of points machines and the visible blade movement once again well done and thanks to everyone involved

I'm no longer getting raindrops on my windscreen on the 802 after having switched to exterior camera.

I think they need to address the rendering distance of the sea textures across the board on Series X. I know there's some really glaring issues between Starcross and Teignmouth, and Torquay and Paignton. However, there are so many other places where you just see a beach along the whole horizon because the sea texture hasn't loaded in, and then it pops in above the beige texture at the last minute. This seems to be worse when running services towards Exeter.

If that isn't possible, replacing the brown textures under the sea with blue ones would probably make it much less noticeable.

The manager who thought it wise to put Winteruptions scenario at the very top of the list deserves a bonus indeed: an hour of staring into the void, with the occasional delight of blinding white textures. Bravo, old chap, truly visionary

Well, first post release patch is out, and no fix to the 802 not responding to the Rail Driver. I have been avoiding this route just because of that issue.

there are 2 types of 802
one does work namely the 802/1
although braking stops at 88% when using the tsc-x might be the same for the raildriver
unless you really want and must drive the 802/0 :)

I have the same experience with a throttle quad and CobraOne. 802/0 no response. 802/1 exactly as you describe.

Some quite bad stuttering leaving Newton Abbot in a 150 (Xbox Series X). Akin to the kind that still plagues the Blackpool Branches route near to Layton.

Other than that, really pleased with this route. First new one I've bought in a while.

First look at the route, and the scenery is great. Having grown up in Exeter, I know this line so well and it's really well represented.

One bit of feedback: the adverts on the heritage railway platform Paignton are modern, when they should be more like those on West Somerset Railway.

I've just started playing the route, it's decent but there are a few things worth mentioning that should be fixed. Platform is Xbox series X.
    - At Exeter St Davids, the announcer said the service to Waterloo was ready to leave despite having not arrived from the sidings

-Woking and Clapham Junction should be added to the station directory for these services

-Class 802 external destination screen doesn't work properly. I'm surprised this wasn't fixed from the 801

-The announcements sound decent enough but they can only be heard if you are within a few metres of the speaker. This isn't true to life.

-Some stations don't have 80x stop markers. These include Newton Abbot, Dawlish Warren and Exeter St. Davids

-Occasionally the sea disappears. That probably tells how much testing was done

Other than that a great effort, a very enjoyable drive. The 802 sounds lovely.

Pretty good, enjoyed my first full run. Few sound issues and trees over the line but hopefully those can be fixed in next patch.

Has anyone managed to get platinum on the 150 & 802 training and the first two depot moves either the Voyager?

    Excellent route.

Exe Estuary needs loads more little white boats (the place is absolutely littered with them in real life) and water boys (boeys?). Same goes for the Teign Estuary as well.

Unfortunately I did experience some texture blurring on approach to Plymouth. I'd like to think the people at DTG are doing everything they can to solve this issue, but I'll probably have to refrain from purchasing future routes until I see these improvements come to fruition.

Don't touch the DRA ! Matt during the Riviera stream couldn't end his journey after using it in the 220. Now I got stuck in the 802 too after using it. The 150 worked after using DRA.

Besides, shouldn't the vigilance alarm be off when DRA is on ? Not on these two, didn't try the 220 yet.

PS5. Post patch and still no safety system sounds on any trains throughout the Rivera line. Not even the initial alert sound when activativating them and moving the reverser to forward on the 802. I know they are turned on and otherwise working because I can hit the acknowledge button and the sunflower light will illuminate. Now lt sure if the 802 gives you a voice prompt like the 801 that says "AWS and TPWS operational" but I can hear that either. The overall issue is on all trains scenario and timetables. I play with safety systems on all the time and even just trying to drive eventually the DVD will stop me because I can't hear it to acknowledge it.

Go into the settings menu and select the controls one. Then select the controller and there is a controller audio option somewhere there.
It took me a while to find it.

I was really looking forward to the long-awaited fusion of TSW5 and tsw6. Thank you so much to everyone at DTG.

At Plymouth, the 12:44 train was waiting at platform 4, and the 13:16 train was waiting at platform 5.
At this time, the South Devon Explorer, which was running on time, was stopped at a red light just before the station.

We took the Voyager from Plymouth, passed the South Devon Explorer and warped straight away, so sorry if the information isn't accurate, but please check.

Thank you so much to everyone at DTG for making this game.

Don't feel stupid. The first thing I did on Thursday when I realised I had no AWS sounds etc was check my PS5 settings and my controller audio was at 0. I then spent at least 10 minutes going through each menu in TSW6 to find the controller audio.

SDO totally fails on service 1C89 at Dawlish Warren with the 805/1 (9 car) - on the prior stops we stopped with the back end of the train off platform and the SDO worked properly until Dawlish Warren when the stop markers (orange highlights) told us to stop with the front half off the platform. All the doors opened including a lot of doors that were not at the platform. I fell out of the train and hit my head and now I'm putting a claim in. My lawyers will contact your lawyers.

5K01 Randomly derails in spectacular fashion

I don't even think they've read this thread, out of all the issues in this thread and the only listed fix they've posted is the 150 wipers..

    How did this pass testing?

Really enjoying the route ,a very accurate interpretation of the real line having just watched a drivers eye view video of the same run,if Iam nit picking there's no reverb in tunnels, under bridges, a little bit of tree clipping ,and the ballast in real life along the sea wall has a reddish tone to it , otherwise a very solid route with plenty of rolling stock if you have all the layers

Finally got to do (part of) the run in daylight and yes, the route is enchanting and heart warming. Most of the issues like trees and bushes fouling the train will hopefully be addressed along with missing or barely audible reverb. Note to DTG, going through Chipping Sodbury and Severn Tunnels yesterday on a Cucumber, there was most definitely a lot more noise including rattling, banging etc. than in the open air. So we absolutely need to rework that aspect. In fact, Matt and the audio guy need to grab a cheap day return from Chatham to Cardiff and see exactly how noisy the Cucumber is going through tunnels etc.

My only other observation at this time is the sea. Just doesn’t look natural at all, very dark and almost blue or indigo with a treacle consistency. I hate to say it, but GTA SA was doing better water and wave effects 20 years ago!

Totnes SDR station is very nicely rendered, but you essentially have to walk along the track to get to it. It's also defined as a siding, not a station, and has an invisible wall halfway down it.

    1) make it into a station (doesn't have to have a fast travel point)
    2) Make the bridge over the river Dart that connects it to the main station accessible
    3) Add "climb to platform" functionality
    4) Remove invisible wall.

There does seem to be an issue in TSW5 with excessive invisible walls, and areas not being walkable when they could be, including the new Go To Opposite Platform system. Adding more naturally walkable places would make the game so much more immersive, really open up the world. And can we sit on benches too please - it's been done before.

On a similar note, the start point at Laira, on foot, leaves you trapped, can't move in any direction.

Running the 802 in free roam on GWE and I've just had the 220's issue with the throttle/brake control locking when I switched from AC to diesel while moving.
