The textures need to be sorted out on Ps5 we shouldn't have to disable layers to have a good run without bad textures DTG Harry DTG Matt DTG Alex
Same on series x Ecml crashed to desktop yet with all layers off no glitches in graphics and the 802 started on diesel mode at first time of asking which is very rare
Hello. Have you gone through to turn the layers back on one by one? Currently, layers off is the best (and quickest) solution we have for the optimisation causing texture issues.
So basically if you are on console our optimizatiin solution for you is just run base layers and nothing else. Or buy a PC. Thats a nice way to tick off 2/3 of your customer base. By basically saying we are not working on it, its your fault you own too much content. I'm starting to think TSW7 should be PC only since you can only provide a broken game for console users and no real urgency to fix it. Since it has been a known problem for the entire iteration of TSW5 and again there is no urgency to fix in TSW6. Fix it yourself or switch to PC.
I came across an offer while I was in the TSW5 "built in the game store access area" and I was wondering if you know anything about a future upgrade offer for tsw6 standard or other editions. Here is a picture I took of the offer since when I clicked it I got an error. But as you can see from the pick it appears to be a well constructed offer.
Sorry to hear this isn't working. I'm going to do a little look to see if anyone else has been experiencing this issue, but I'll get this raised as it's an usual one! Out of curiosity, does this happen with other compatible layers turned off?
I find myself agreeing with bakedpotatos.jm. Were encouraged to purchase routes and locos to enhance our experience via layers, and now told we should turn layers off because the game can't cope. So now we are left with an inferior experience. Back in the heady days of tsw2 I remember thinking that DTG were trying hard and that bugs would be fixed. They were pioneering rail simulation on console. Now it's clear they can't cope with consoles. The xbox series X and the ps5 should have the full experience by default. The game should be as advertised on the current gen but it's not. I know the usual culprits will pop up and say get a pc but if DTG market this for consoles it should work out of the box for consoles.
