When I see this notification in the game, as I currently am in the Boston – Worcester DLC, I look around for the safety systems button and I can never find it. Is there a specific place to look for this? And if not, how can I find it? One other thing – the notification barely stays up long enough so you can read it. Can it be kept up just a little bit longer? Thank you.
This is a source of considerable frustration to some of us on console. The button, or buttons, required to switch on/off the various different safety systems are in a different place in each loco, so a nightmare if you're on console. There are a couple of keyboard shortcuts to switch safety systems on/off, and if you have a USB keyboard then you can plug it into your console if you wish and you can access keyboard shortcuts there as well as on PC. Otherwise you need to learn the location of the switch(es) for each loco you use. It has been suggested many times that DTG should allocate a controller command to switch the safety systems on/off, e.g. hold down 'X' and simultaneously click another button to activate/deactivate, but alas they haven't seen fit to do this yet. DTG, PLEASE sort this....
Which railway vehicle is this? On American locomotives, the safety system is usually turned on in the fuse box.
It's quite annoying at first before you find those pesky switches, however afterwards it just adds immersion.
I have no pride- if necessary I'll take as much time as I need to search for them, then once I've found them reload the service.
