Maybe a couple of years earlier as my current potato I bought in 2014 or thereabouts initially had one of those though I subsequently upgraded to the current GTX1650. To be fair that still runs most games pretty well which (now I've got the 12 month extended security for Windows 10) means I'm not inclined to just rush out and spend £1200 on a new box for the one game that is poorly optimised but even then copes pretty well at 1440p.

 

Oh, my mistake. The 1050TI came out in 2016. The 1050 base is even older and slower.

Technicaly speaking, yes I agree with you. But still, the minimum Requirements need to be updated for newer iteration(s) of the game for 2025 (and 2026).

 

Some of us just prefer gaming on a console. I have a PS5 Pro and a PC, but choose to play most games on PS5.

 

Or, as in my case, console is the only option.

 

I think this is the reason for having both "Minimum" and "Recommended" spec lists.

It is in theory. However, are you really meeting the minimum if it's not playable on such low end systems?
Booting the game and playing the game are two different things.
It's like saying that if a car starts it'll drive fine, even with no wheels.
Yes you can start the car as a "minimum" but it if's not drivable is that really enough to be the "minimum" for driving?
Are you really getting the same game if it runs at less than 10 fps?

cost of good computer what will both be powerful and last plus new ones in future plus the cost of the loss of value on Series X essential abandonment if not then the increased cost of having a PC for one game, additional wasted cost of the Xbox TSW dlcs if moving to PC + cost of re buying the game and dlcs

Sherlock, on console they are many other games which are more worthy to play on console than on PC. Majority of gamers use consoles, we want to play with friends, using PlayStation party and have our TV as monitor. PS5 has good stats and besides the bugs it’s actually more smooth than on PC. I saw myself many players on PC full of freezing with best CPU/GPU. And saying a console is lame is really the dumbest thing I heard this week. I think most of the young people think PC Gaming is much more nerdy and uncool. Majority doesn’t want to research one week which graphic card is the best, learn how certain things on PC work, configurating graphics and perfomance no thank you. I have other things to do than worrying about that and pay the triple of the price for a good gaming pc. That’s very nerdy and not cool. If people want to do that, I’m totally fine with that. But I have other things to care about. And many people do have MacBooks because it’s objectively the better, easier and more modern software and connects perfectly with an iPhone for example. I wouldn’t use Windows. Used it in the past and hated it. Had to worry about many stuff and reading much stuff to actually know how to resolve something, and on Mac almost everything is self explaining, stable and intuitive. So no, I’ll stick with my very cool PS5 and my very cool MacBook.
