    Hello y‘all,

I play on PS5 with TSW6 the new Leipzig route but can’t find any sbahn service from or to Oschatz (would be with this map from Leipzig engelsdorf). I mean the trains are there, I think irl they use dostos or the talent 2 (which have a horrible sound the Rapid Transit ones, fix that DTG just put the other talent 2 sound in there NO BIG DEAL!) like in rapid transit or in Dresden in all routes. Did I forgot about something/looked wrong, or is it not available? How about PC?

oh and another question the timetable on PS5 for Leipzig Dresden is it the full timetable as the pc version or have I been scammed again by DTG paying the same price as on PC and not getting the full timetable for a technically advanced next-gen console like on Frankfurt S-Bahn (which would work definitely, Frankfurt Fulda runs perfect and yet they scam us)?

    Thanks a lot! hulk out

I hope someone gets that reference lol

They already tried to put the new talent 2 sounds on the rapid transit version and it failed. The dlc was way too old and unless it's completely rebuilt, it can't get sounds changed

If you're on PS5, there are some services from/to Oschatz especially in early morning/late evening. For example there's one at around 3 AM. Also you do get the full timetable on PS5 but expect a lot of blurry textures and crashes!

It isn't just a repaint. The 1442 has a completely different interior, including a different seat layout.

Then remade the BR1442, all the rolling stock of this new route was already available in other routes, so is asking for remake of the BR1442 to much?

This route definitely seems like the runt of the litter this year. I do agree with the sentiment that considering no other rolling stock got touched for this release, the one train that sorely needed work doing is one which is fairly important to one end of the line.

Overall though I think German content has fallen from it’s position of grace in TSW, DTG seems too have gotten far to lax about it over the last year or so.

I agree that Leipzig-Dresden is, for most people, the least attractive "new" route in TSW6.

That said, TSW5 had Frankfurt-Fulda and Frankfurt Sbahn that are really good. Probably the best DTG content in TSW5 (not counting 3rd parties).

Well, Sbahns base timetable is quite poor & over half of TSW’s players were alienated from anything more than that.

FTF is just another example of DTG reselling some of the oldest rolling stock in the game, refusing to update the dostos. The performance isn’t exactly stellar either.

I’ll admit that the continued repetitive use of very similar traction, in the same era with the same operator has really put me off German content anyway, but the continued decline of technical quality in the content & a rather stale gameplay loop is really killing that side of TSW for me.

Personally I think that if they can’t sort out the quality & refresh the gameplay, the German release slots would be better served mixing in more EU content such as NS, OBB, SNCF etc.

DTG German content is getting worse and worse every year, at least for me as I am on PS5, mostly because of the always present blurry textures, crashes and reused stock, to the point that the Dosto Cab Car is the highest level train I have in my profile, not because I like it more than others, but just because it's on so many routes. I agree, I think DTG should let TSG do the German content and focus on other European countries that are still absent from the game or have only one route: Italy, Spain, Belgium, France, Netherlands, Poland...

Frankfurt - Fulda has terrible performance and Frankfurt S-bahn a terrible reduced timetable, so not the best routes. Germany has many other operators then DB and except Flix Train, those are not in game. There are also a lot of other DB trains not included, so there are many options.

But in my opinion the best German routes are from the TSW and TSW2020 era, Ruhr Sieg Nord and Rhein Ruhr Osten for example. Those routes can be better with a new timetable, like the BR425 added on both routes and IC and ICE trains.

Upgrading the older routes would be amazing, but this is DTG we're talking about. They will never upgrade older routes that have stopped giving them profit; instead they're going to keep releasing new, broken ones. Also, adding new operators is time and money consuming, it's much easier for them to simply reuse and reuse the same content we've had since the start forever.

That' I'm not sure I agree with: the Frankfurt routes are great, although demanding performance-wise. And on the 3rd party front we got the gorgeous Mittenwald plus the E94 pack.

Yes, you're not wrong about that. Especially on PC the Frankfurt routes are great, probably some of the best, as well as Dresden - Leipzig. If you're on console on the other hand... Not at all, unfortunately. They would be great, but the terrible optimization this game has and the absence of an option to choose the texture quality, which is on PC for example, is what brings these routes down to the bottom of the list for a console player like me. And even worse because these problems don't just happen with old gen consoles but with current gen as well! That's why I personally prefer to drive routes like Mittenwaldbahn which has gorgeous scenery and no performance issues.

Moreover, the layers that make Frankfurt so wonderfully busy aren't there

Definitely not too much! And I also don’t get The players that stick to the side of the developers Instead to be on the side of the players. I seriously don’t get that

And not forget Mannheim-Kaiserslautern, very nice and busy route. I hope TSW5 won’t stay only with Leipzig - Riesa and Stuttgart (which I really don’t understand why they’ve placing it in the year 2000 instead of a good modern route which players want more) and we get a banger like Cologne - Bonn - Koblenz (very important to close the gap between 6 DLCs!) to make an ICE4 or Desiro HC (the two most requested German trains) or maybe Berlin (very much needed and of course possible although some players say no, totally not understandable, they can just finish the route not in the centre of Berlin but like in Ostbahnhof with that they can have s-Bahn service shortly, have 2 big stations and don’t have to make the whole city). If London is possible, then Berlin is also possible for sure. And people say it’s impossible

They’ll have the same problems in the other mentioned regions. Germany is the biggest country in Europe (not counting fascist countries which are only partly in Europe), the country with the most railway km in Europe and probably alongside Britain the country with the biggest player base and also with the most railway enthusiasms. So letting Germany fall back would be especially economically a dumb decision imo. They release so many German routes simply because it brings the most money (which is totally fine) with UK

That mentioned routes in 2025 are terrible in graphics, won’t help DTG any more in terms of earnings. Either rebuild it or concentrate on other routes. I agree that there are nice routes, but same problem here: Ruhr Sieg Nord only dostos (and not even the route to Iserlohn included) and Rhein-Ruhr Osten same, only dostos and 422 with a terrible terrible sound (which should be updated immediately)

Imo they need deal makers. Like real deal makers like Donald Trump (NOT politically) who has a great ability to make deals (that’s it lol). The argument that licenses even at DB for original sounds at the platform or other private companies do not count for me. With DB they had and have a deal if they have good deal makers they can include original announcements for example for short money. And private companies, especially like FlixTrain are not state-owned and have interest in publicity. I think they just included flixtrain because of a very good license deal cause they want advertisement. From this point I can definitely think that companies like national express (great great opportunity with the RRX which is highly requested and a Desiro HC!) or TransDev and others, let negotiate and a good deal can be made for the sake of the players. RRX in the game would be nothing less than a game changer for NRW which has a huge player base and is the biggest state in Germany. Just my thoughts but from the outside perspective it just seems that DTG is not really good in deal making and haven’t got people who can negotiate excellently.

Yeah I don’t think it will happen, but the other EU routes tend to offer much better quality. I know that LGVmed wasn’t renowned for being a good looking route, but it’s definitely well received & even if we only got TGV’s there’s likely lots of demand for it.

Not seeing NS content make a return was pretty surprising in all honesty, maybe it didn’t so aswell as people seem to have received it going off reviews, but definitely a shame it’s dropped off the content map.

Personally I’m not offering my opinion from a place of being overly interested in German railways, rather than someone who always seen the German content in TSW as a safe bet, like I said though I feel asif DTG are just getting too comfortable with it & standards are certainly slipping.

For me the German stuff reached its peak with Rosenheim, a lot of other German content just feels especially uninspired. Usually from the same regions, the same general rolling stock pool & the ever increasing demise in quality.

The upcoming Stuttgart route seems promising in concept, but I’ll be looking at that quite critically now whereas a couple of years ago, I wouldn’t have given it a second thought before buying.

Just bringing the UK into things, players there had this same issue a few times. We had the period where every UK route was some from of Electrostar commuter, then it moved into other areas of repeated AC routes & disregard for entire regions. Even now there’s dismay about JT continuing with WCML DLC’s & the same rolling stock - and those are some of, if not the highest quality DLC’s TSW has.

Maybe German rail fans have a higher tolerance of similarities, just down to the IRL network being that way - but I’ve definitely got DB burnout & that’s only compounded by the general state of TSW.

We don’t have ahoy tolerance for the same rolling stock every time it’s just we don’t have good alternatives lol
And yeah you are absolutely right with german routes, I mean the graphics are pretty good (although no UE5 in only the new routes) and timetables definitely became better (besides the scam of paying the same price on consoles and getting only reduced timetable at Frankfurt s-bahn this is open scam and really really a shame and totally disrespectful cause Frankfurt Fulda shows that big timetables are possible and the high processing power of the PS5 definitely also says yes so if Xbox was the problem then just add it to the PlayStation, weirder people buy Xbox and there are definitely more PS players for TSW). The rolling stock and the performance seem to be really the biggest issue. They say the performance will be better idk about that. Frankfurt Hbf in the Fulda route definitely became much better (at least on the PS5) but the rest in fact became even worse. Especially at Hanau, every time you arrive there the trains and the world will stay blurry until your final destination. It’s really a shame. And then there’s the problem of realising an unfinished, buggy game. Idk about the UK and the US route but Leipzig Dresden is full full full of bugs. Even after the first update. This is soooo unprofessional realeasing a game full of bugs. I would rather release it two weeks later (Germans have patience nowadays to the Chronik delays of the Deutsche Bahn) than giving my players frustration and act that unprofessional. I also don’t get the beta player program if it’s still full of bugs. Either they have players that don’t test it honestly or it’s just an alibi.

Part of the problem for me, though I enjoyed the route, is that it’s a relatively obscure part of Holland compared to something around Rotterdam, Amsterdam or even Utrecht. The ICM, while nice to look at and no doubt iconic, turned out to be a bit of a damp squib to drive with poor sounds and inertia akin to running through treacle when coasting.

Also those of us of a certain age have more affinity with the older Mat 54 dog nose or Mat 64 units than the more modern stock. Not to mention the loco haulage of long distance D trains into Germany.

The driving was also unremarkable, although the scenery was exceptionally well done you couldn’t escape the fact those long straights at a maximum 140 km/h started to drag a bit.

For me, I’m hoping the new Czech route, if/when it appears, will really hit the spot.

I wouldn’t be averse to another Dutch route but I think they need to select the area carefully and the era.

I totally disagree about the terrible graphics, in my opinion the pre TOD4 routes do look much more natural then the overly bright TOD4 routes. TOD4 behaves more like a camera does and not like the human eye.

When you made new timetables, ofcourse you also add other trains, the BR425 would be realistic for both routes.
The sounds of the BR422 are not that bad, they are to quiet but with an open window it's ok.

I think if you want a straight forward sprinter route that covers some distance at a moderate speed, it’s a solid pick. Like Hamburg was when it released, nice quality route with not so exciting stock.

Definitely not something I’d run every time I play, but also something that didn’t make me feel like I’d rather be on another route for an hour.

The disappointment for me comes from the fact that the DLC should have laid foundation for something more exciting, lots of assets created & some nice base trains that would have made good background traffic for another route.

Less to do with "good graphics", more to do with the fact that you don't get flashbanged when playing it.

But which routes do you mean with Flashbanged? Newer routes? I mean yeah Cologne Aachen has definitely lighting issues which they will unfortunately never fix seeing how DTG treats very very old bugs (by not treating it). I’m not that familiar with lighting tech and “TOD” (I’m not dead rn) but my point was the graphics. And on HRR and HRO they are really terrible imo. I mean for me it’s barely playable (I’m from this star that why otherwise I wouldn’t play it) I have a higher standard because I play also many other games that really have best graphics so this is really annoying imo. The problem are the high prices for 2012 graphics which I think is not okay in 2025.

And btw it’s the same with the 423 in cologne aachen it’s the Interieur from Munich I think. So repainting it only is definitely an option. The sound is one of the most important things in this game. Releasing a new route with many playable trains and good graphics which is pretty enjoyable and than having this terrible sound while there is an option to just repaint the new one to have a massive sound difference is just not understandable for me and is imo very unprofessional. As always, they act like they are a company with 3 dudes rather than a professional company

Each TOD has its pros and cons, the new system definitely delivers weather in much greater depth, but saying that old route colors and lighting is ugly or less realistic is highly subjective at best. This was literally second german route ever released:

    upload_2025-10-5_7-24-18.jpeg

    upload_2025-10-5_7-27-13.jpeg

I'll often pick that over the highly exposed lighting on newer routes, even at loss of some details and shrubbery.
