so i tried to do a pair of class 20s in the front, 7 mk2s plus a MK1 RMB and a class 33 at the back. I have read a previous top and tail thread many years ago and it was vaccum brake. But since this time my consist is fully air braked. i even tried some tricks by having the end class 33 to have it set as vacuum brake and the front 20s to be air brake. Didnt work either, and my consist just refuses to move and brakes locked. What am i doing wrong and what can i do to get the consist moving.
Hi Ludwig ! Here's the formation - 2 x BR Class 20 + 7 x Mk.2 BSO + 1 x Mk.1 Buffet + 1 x BR Class 33 Front - Back - Since both the class 20 & 33 spawn with their air brakes selected on the changeover switch & the formation is all air braked - No changes required there. Releasing the brakes, the brake cylinder gauges go to 0 as expected - Leading Class 20 - Trailing Class 20 - Class 33 - No brakes are stuck and the formation moved when the power was applied from the leading 20. Not sure what's the blocker in your case ? Can you please check again and find out what's stuck ? Do you continue to hear any hissing sounds after the brake pipe indication has stabilized ? ( It's simulated )
gave it a tried again and it works. But the train brakes doesnt work at all and i have to use the loco brakes. Any idea how to make that work? (at least i think on the 33 the brakes doesnt work)
