I have had the same issue. I set up the train with all safety systems, but when powering up, you hear the engines go up, but nothing happens.
When i restart and do exactly the same, train works normally

This is a known issue with the 802 (5 car) on Rail Driver, the others work fine, 801 and 802 9 car. It has been noted in past dlc that have this issue, that it is due to the developer forgetting to include something, can't remember if it's a line of code or checking a box. Easy fax via patch though.

That sign also floats on Xbox (Series S), so I assume it floats on all platforms

Try a free roam trip along the sea wall from Newton Abbot at sunrise with clear skies. The warm lighting on the cliff scenery is fantastic!

The 166 Turbo sounds glitchy when getting up to speed. I noticed it when playing 2F08 on the PS5

It would help if there was some sort of stickied post at the top of each new content or feature thread to categorise the various issues being raised and their position (if any) in the triage process.

For example lack of bridge reverb (also noted on the Leipzig route) might not be game breaking but it certainly spoils the immersion particularly when now regarded as standard on all new routes over the last couple of years.

Completed my first timetable run and got my Platinum medal. However, even after rebooting game, as much as on the list of services you can see I've completed this particular one my record is still showing 0 completed. Scenarios seem fine, but perhaps a bug here ?

Afternoon Vern! This would unfortunately take quite a bit of resource from ourselves and from a dev perspective, for something that essentially might not have an update beyond 'it's being worked on' (depending on the nature of the issue). I wanted to respond to this as it's something you've raised before, but what I can say within the limits of NDA is share that we are working on an update due to be released this week providing it passes it's required checks. We categorise issues based on priority (like crashes/things that make the game difficult to play/timetables impossible to complete) and compare with numbers of players effected. We just aren't able to also do that and keep it consistently updated for every add-on externally, as it would take quite a lot of time/resource away from other tasks.

It's not a common practice in the games industry for a community team to do this, unless they're a larger community team. But we do try to update where and when we can.

Might be helpful for console players, I've noticed after uninstalling WCML Preston Carlisle the blurry textures don't appear. The only other DLC I had installed were WCML South, West Somerset, Tees Valley, Southeastern HS, class 20 and class 33.

I must say I cannot get over how good this route is.

I lived in Exeter for 21 years, and my parents still do, so I still go there fairly often. My Dad worked at the signal box, and we traveled on the train a lot - I've been to St Davids station thousands of times, have ridden on this line loads, visited the seaside resorts, walked along the seawall, visited the heritage railway all many times. I went to school in St. Thomas, and lived near St Davids station - my commute for about 5 years took me past it. So it's fair to say I know it quite well - and it's so well done - the scenery, the stations, the timetable - so much fun to drive and explore. Well done everyone.

I'd still like a few more walkable areas though :)

Further to earlier comments, I got stung this evening again by failing to cancel AWS on the 802 not being recoverable. This time keying out and in didn't fix it, nor did a physics reset. Ended up having to finish the run driving from the rear cab and head out view on the front of the train.

Ah - I was trying to find who had this ticket earlier as we had a request for more information (due to it not being present when they tested it). Is AWS enabled when crossing over magnets?

Do you have a video of the issue so we can try to duplicate the issue on our side?

It must be someone else who submitted a ticket. Yes AWS and TPWS was enabled (or I wouldn't have had the issue! :) ) but no video I'm afraid.

I don't know why, but I find not driving the trains is more enjoyable, I mostly just pretend I'm a passenger.

Noticed that sometimes the same Unit numbers are being spawned in. For example I am currently driving 2T10 which is a 4 car 150 and both units are 150261

The steps are fairly straightforward to reproduce.
Failed to cancel the AWS warning due to being so engrossed in the drive I hadn’t turned on my desktop lamp and was hitting the key to the left of the”Q”. After train came to a stand I put the brake to maximum then tried to release and take power, didn’t work. I then isolated the AWS and repeated, no joy. I then put reverser to off and took out the master key effectively shutting down the cab for a cold start. I then keyed back in, reverser forward, didn’t bother switching on the AWS but still brake locked. Then I did the physics reset from the pause menu, to no avail. At which point rather than abandon the run 65% through, I closed down the leading cab again and went to the rear where I was able to get the brakes off.

is this in the 802? It may be related to TPWS V4 that’s in those. If you miss an AWS you’ll get a brake demand as you would on other units. But to release the brakes you have to press Brake Release, whichever light on the panel has come on (in this case it would be AWS) and AWS Reset to get the brakes off.

Fairly certain I tried that. Though wouldn’t isolating the AWS, resetting the desk and doing the physics reset override that anyway?

Just here to mention some non-game breaking things I spotted, amongst the greatness that is!

There’s a considerable amount of lineside fences or barriers absent between St. David’s and beyond, to around Dawlish Warren area, and one short fence gap in Dawlish just before the first tunnel heading west.
There’s a pretty low bridge beam too immediately coming out of Newton Abbot heading southwest, the adjacent beam seems to be a normal height.

    That is all.

There probably aren't enough unique numbers for all the 150 services on the route, including all the off-map services too. Think a similar thing happens on MML with the HST, where the game runs out of unique numbers to spawn, so starts spawning the same ones again.

The total lack of layers is a bit disappointing. I had expected at least the GWR Class 43 to be present. Anyway...

Is that something the layers of 166’s would solve, as then there would be enough trains for the services?

Probably not because I think the 166 and HST add extra services rather than replacing any existing ones (correct me if I'm wrong).

I ran the Riviera Line with a Class 150. The scenery is magnificent.
There's a bug with the DPTF side lights on the Class 802.
Even when the lights are set to Full, only the marker lights illuminate.[IMG]

PS5. Every version of the 802 across the Rivera at night only has about .5 ft of headlight throw making it impossible to see track signage/anything in front of the train from the cab.

    Xbox Series X

Guard panels won't deactivate causing doors to stay open when opening all doors from another panel.

    For example:

I activate panel at carriage H
    Open local door
    Open all doors

    Dispatch procedure

    Close doors
    Close local

    Deactivate.

I change panels at the next station due to ticket checks.

    I activate the new panel.

    Open local door.

    Open all doors.

I complete boarding and start dispatch

    I close all doors.

But the door I was previously key'd into will not close and I have to find and manually close it.

This continues for the remainder of the stops and I have this issue with all other panels onboard.

PLEASE FIX. IT IS A PAIN in guard mode. :)

Another foggy/dismal run in Journey. Pathetic.

    fog.jpg

Well the sun did eventually come out but raining at the same time. In the meantime, using the free cam at Dawlish, seems the 3D modeller got his textures back to front, and they duplicate the shops further along the block...

Don't know whether this has already been reported (haven't had the time to read through the whole thread), so I do apologise if this has already been noted.

Anyway, the sea sometimes just disappears.. leaving the seabed fully exposed, it seems to happen in Dawlish Warren just as you pass the caravan park with the basketball court and also happens in a few other locations I can't really pinpoint - a lot of the time the sea partially disappears so if you look out to sea, the water is there, and then after a certain point it just ends and like I said before; you can see the seabed.. not game breaking but it is quite annoying.

I’m assuming this is related to the unrecoverable AWS “zwang” which a few of us have encountered. If you can’t get brake release from the front cab - even with a hard physics reset - the only option to avoid losing the run is to switch to the rear cab and drive in reverse, with the 3 cam perched on the leading end.

Either that or just don’t bother with safety systems but that dilutes the realism.

as some have pointed out already, even in diesel mode, 802 is far too sluggish... according to some, it has more power delivery upon start than how it is currently in the game... which would be nice, not having to ram it into notch 3 just to get it moving at Plymouth :D

thankfully, there is the Voyager, which even in 2x consist can get moving nicely and can cope even with the steepest gradient without losing speed :)

I've found when climbing Dainton or Hemerdon in the 802, it's a struggle to maintain around 60mph, even on full throttle.

I guess you did a service with the 9car variant :) ... thats the one that needs notch 3 to start at Plymouth and from 80 mph at the start of the long climb gets down to 70 at the summit, all the while being on notch 4 :D ... so while I will play 802 cos it looks cool and all, I guess for the moment I will prefer Voyager... or 150, that one is slow as hell but still cool :D

Have you tried the 'official' fix, which is to do as you did, then key out the rear and try again from the front?
