More or less just re posting this here for those without Facebook, but HIS and DTM both posted new photos of the ATSF pack today, however, doesn't look like anything new in any of the photos. Photos from HIS
Photos from DTM (Double posting as I cant get Imgur to link photos properly anymore....) DTM also updated their PFP to this.
To think this pack should've have a release date or be in the 3 months range by now, but nope it ain't even close. Gonna be not surprised if its pretty much a TSW6 dlc before the end of the year at this point.
It was slated for TSW 5. At this point, I'm curious as to which will show up faster. Tadami Line, HIS's ATSF pack, or GTA 6... It's a stretch, and a long one at that, but the possibility of them showing in TSW 7 is never off the table either lol.
Despite it was removed from the roadmap due to lack of updated progress, and since Frankfurt S-Bahn was released still not much being said about the 420 progress until then. Like I said, I be not surprised if the ATSF pack is released before the end of the year (or early next year at this point, who knows) if it's still gonna be sitting on the tbc section of the roadmap without any actual news to discuss.
And continuing the point, new images from HIS's Facebook. Yet still nothing new. (Note: While there is a white tanker in a screenshot, it's unfortunately a custom skin and not part of the pack)
The white tank cars are new, but that's about it. EDIT: Apparently they were custom skins, and are not a part of the pack. Not really a good look from a dev when they have content not related to the pack in their images....
I hope the number lights for both the locomotives actually work. They don’t seem to be on in the first pic.
Feels pointless to post these, but gonna do it anyways (But only cause the post mentions the C41-8Ws (they ain't that much different anyways, just a bit of horsepower and that's about it) which would be awkward if those numbers are included since only 25 were rebuilt)
So, from the road map screen from the direct, the ATSF pack has now moved into the 0-3 month range, so it should be expected by the end of the year.
So it seems like HIS have been working on their route in the background, and have a locomotive project going on as well... EDIT also decided to just turn this thread into a general HIS discussion thread for the future.
It's been so long since American cargo shipping has happened that you'll be running around screaming for joy when it releases.
Photo from HIS facebook page, this does confirm that HIS will utilize all 3 of the tracks on Cajon, despite not all of them being there in the 90's.
So having authenticity thrown out the window cause of wanting all the tracks to be used. Should not be surprising, and yet still happened. (Since track 3 wasn't built until 2008. What's next, unrealistic train faults to implement)
Oh nice, I’ve just never seen them before, by any chance do you know some of the services with them? (names)
None, DTG never subbed the rolling stock from the SD70ACe into any Cajon Pass services, so they only appear in scenarios or free roam/formation designer. Not sure if its used in the layer for the MBTA Boston - Framingham/Worcester route.
Thursday I think since didn’t they announce a push back for the roadmap?, it was probably for a dumb reason anyways
It doesn't affect the article but it does effect the live steam and rather do both on the same day then have the article one day and the stream on another
But didn’t they say that they pushed both?, sorry if that didn’t but I swear that’s what they said on discord
We'll have a lot of traffic on the Cajon Pass route with this package. I don't think they'll move that route to the 90s because it would be a total reconstruction of the route in the 90s. At that time, there were other things. This 1999 Amtrak train ride demonstrates things that the Cajon Pass doesn't have these days.
The issue with the 420 was explained at the time it was (temporarily) withdrawn: it had been intended for Munchen-Augsburg, but it turned out that route couldn't handle an additional layer without falling apart, and it made no financial sense to issue a DLC which was only a substitution. The Frankfurt routes re-invigorated the project.
Fantastic many services in a lots Hours They didn't say what day, but after a route created for England, does anyone know when that route will come out?
