So, have we waited from May until now for these discounts? I know Microsoft is the problem, but it's really disappointing.
I swear the RHTT pack always seems to be included whenever there's an xbox sale. On that note, I'm surprised Brighton Mainline and East Coastway weren't also included
Half this stuff went on sale this year already and one only okay sale is the one where we don’t even get a full timetable
Now that Microsoft have scrapped discounts on DLC for Game Pass games hopefully Xbox players will be back to more regular actual sales.
I went to the link on the News which led me to the Xbox sale on PC, put it in the wishlist, saw in the wishlist on the Xbox with the discount.and bought it from the there. Seems to be something wrong in the internal Xbpx store. But it worked!
You’re saying it like ps didn’t get like almost a month long sale with multiple parts and about a more before that a another sale
Waited long than that for a DLC sale. Its Dtg who decides what goes on sale not Microsoft. I contacted Microsoft support about this and it was rather interesting how it actually work's.
direct quotes from Microsoft support "Most often, sale prices on the Microsoft Store (including Xbox) are set by the game's publisher in coordination with Microsoft's promotions calendar. Publishers decide how steeply to discount their titles based on factors like: -How long the game's been out. Older games typically qualify for bigger markdowns. -Sales goals and revenue targets. Publishers balance discount depth against projected income. -Seasonal or themed events. Discounts are deeper during big sales like Black Friday, Summer Sale, or specific Xbox promotions. -Agreement terms. Microsoft and the publisher negotiate which titles and DLC can participate, and at what maximum discount. So if you're only seeing small or infrequent price cuts, it's usually because the publisher hasn't approved steeper reductions outside major sale periods". "completely get why it feels like Xbox isn't putting Train Sim World on sale--but in reality it's the publisher (Dovetail Games) who sets the discount levels and timing in coordination with Microsoft's promotional calendar. Because Dovetail hasn't scheduled many deep markdowns for Train Sim World outside major events, you only see small or infrequent sales. be sure to relay your hope for regular 50%+ discounts on both the base game and DLC-your feedback helps shape their future promotions. If you'd like, I can also point you to the official feedback form so your voice goes directly to their pricing team".
Can't go wrong at that price. If it's a route your interested in it's worth adding to your collection.
PlayStation gets sales but not brilliant ones Xbox get better sales but that most likely down to not having a sales
Are you on something?, because like there ain’t no way you are believing that, play station gets double the amount of DLCs per sale than Xbox on average and the discounts are also heavily on play station, they also get the benefit of not getting 90% of the same routes on sale, the pass year I think about 50% of Xbox sales have included multiple of the same stuff aka almost no new sales since your not going to buy the same route twice
We’ve waited so long for a sale, and when one finally does come along the showpiece of the sale is a route that’s got half a timetable
Whoa whoa whoa we don't have to fight. Your platform getting a sale doesn't stop mine from getting one. More sales for everyone!
What’s even worse than starting an argument is pushing the narrative that one’s already happening when it isn’t. No one’s arguing here, simply debating about the state of tsw sales
I would be cool if they had a sale...... on the route(s) of your choice. We rarely get sales on Xbox, and when we do its usually only a few routes that I already have. Meanwhile on Steam they end up being on sale. Tends to piss me off after spending so much money already. Just find some way to make it more fair for xbox users. Like maybe just do the exact same sales across all platforms.
Yeah it would be great having a choice since I literally just need the older Switzerland stuff and scotrail express
Why discount it if everything's already selling well? There are about five competitive railroad games in the PC world. There's nothing on consoles. And Steam has regional pricing. So all the add-ons cost half to a third of the price in my country. Should these prices be equalized as well?
Trainz on the 24th and honestly I might go for it since for £33 you get 4 routes and a few steam trains +more
They're already discounting it. The problem is those discounts aren't offered equally across all platforms.
What "fairness"? It's business. You can vote with your wallet and not buy the add-ons. DTG will notice and hold sales more often.
Yeah, its a business. You piss off your customers enough, and you lose them.... not good for business. I'd say having happy customers is a really good thing. Most businesses want them because It leads to more sales & more customers. btw, I can also voice my opinion here in their forum. Thats kinda what it's for and I do believe they notice it. Whether they act on it or not is up to them.
