An interesting route with a beautifull scenery (PC-steam)

    Now for the trains

    class 150 :
1)The new sounds and physics seem very well done but:
engine cab sounds should be louder (they are too quiet even with the windows opened).
on the other hand, brake sound is too loud.

2)since the engines underneath are well modelled , along with the cardan shafts, the shafts should be animated. they were animated in the class 101 , i don't understand since they are well modelled , why they are standing motionless

    class 802 :

    1) good sounds , but too loud rolling sounds as you' re picking up speed
    2) no engine smoke
    3) also the engine shut down button does not work

Noticed it for the first time today too. Then about a mile further up the track it was back again, so it definitely wasn't just a case of the tide going out - no tide would have gone as far out as that anyway.

Not a game breaker by any means but something that they should definitely fix.

Is anyone else still getting crackling noises every few seconds when playing on PS5? I thought this had been dealt with in a patch but playing a scenario this evening it was pretty annoying. My audio is fed through my surround system and the popping/crackling noises spoil the game for me. Definitely will not be purchasing any more DLC for TSW6 until they get the bug ridden mess sorted out instead of workarounds .

Still absolutely loving this route, no game breaking issues so far. Best TSW route?! Absolutely.

In terms of immersion breaking can the 60 mph speed limit on the approach to Dawlish Warren on the up main be changed to its proper 70 mph speed? I know we’ve had issues in the past with this and then being set in stone but out of everything this is the biggest immersion breaker for me right now.

Don't know if this has been noted yet, at Paignton there is an invisible barrier on the siding near the road.

Spawned on foot and tried to get on the 8F that was stabled there but the invisible barrier prevented me from going past the door.

That makes any service in that siding impossible if starting on foot or choosing return to free roam.

Do the train struggle irl to get up that hill between Plymouth and Ivybridge. Cause the 150 and 802 crawly up. But the Voyager gets up it no problems.

also, if you do 2x Voyager consist, which is 8 cars, so almost as long as the longest 802, that 2x Voyager can get up those super steep inclines on notch 4 no problem... 150 can climb nicely also, but I guess mainly cos it operates in lower speed ranges

There are a couple of static Class 08 layers that say they require GWE but the Class 08 is not included in the GWE DLC.
My guess is the layer actually requires a different DLC, most likely JT's Preston - Carlisle, but it is showing the wrong requirement in the layers window.

I have no way of really knowing what it is since I do not own whatever it is, but I'm sure DTG can take a look, find out what it is, and fix it.

I'm not sure why this layer is claiming to need Great Western Express for you, because indeed GWE doesn't feature a Class 08 and Diesel Legends has its own identifier which is GWB_BR_Class52. These layers actually require Preston - Carlisle.

I agree with your feedback regarding the 150. When the TFW route came out, it was said that the Cardan shaft would be animated on both the 150/2 and 153 however, it is only animated on the 153.

they can easily get it done on the 150/2 as the engine bay is very well modeled, don’t see why they haven’t yet.

cab sounds as well, I agree with. You should be able to hear the engine more in the cabs and especially with windows open, they can be quite loud in real life!

I remember that on the preview stream. They moved the camera to look at the staft, there it was, static.

At 17:45 spawing on foot at Exeter St. Davids there was a class 166 on Platform 1 on an AI train for Axminster. This should be a class 150 as 166s aren't cleared to run to Axminster.

    Yep, I remember that too.

it’s a nice touch that they did well with the 101 and then the 153, I hope they do it with the 150 because you can definitely see the shaft spinning in real life!

I was crouched next to one the other night matter of fact. 150143 came into my station sidings and the alternator sounded faulty so I got a nice close up video of the shaft spinning hehe.

Earlier I mentioned that on the class 802, cab B on the 5 car version is bugged and cab A on the 9 car version is bugged

After doing more testing it seems that that is not quite correct, the state of the pantograph seems to be somehow connected to the control of the diesel engines

    Example 1:
    • Spawn a 9 car version in free roam
    • Activate cab B and press the diesel button, then hold the engine start button
    • The throttle should control the diesel engine properly
    Example 2:
    • Spawn a 9 car version in free roam
    • Activate cab B and press the pantograph down button, then press the diesel button, then hold the engine start button
    • The throttle now does nothing
    • If you press the pantograph up button, the throttle will start controlling the engine properly again

Ran the Winterurptions Scenario on the Series S, and my god did it push the little box to its limits. The HUD was a necessity, for obvious reasons, but driving through constant snowfall at night really pushed the frame rate down, it was ‘WCMLS’ anxiety the whole way! (Saved the game every few minutes in preparation, but thankfully didn’t crash!) Also the overlap between the deteriorating frame rate and sluggish controls of the Voyager were substantial, in that I couldn’t tell whether my control input was missed because of the frame rate or just the Voyager being stubborn. Compared to the 802 and 150, the Voyager stands outs in a bad way, and after this overall experience I definitely feel uneasy about tackling more runs in it.

There are no rain drops on the glass in one of the Class 801 cab.
You based Class 802 on the same Class 801. WITHOUT FIXING THE NO RAIN DROPS BUG!
And after that you get offended when people call you lazy gremlins?

Had the update come through and now all 150/2s have become 150261 again.

Also, the Engine faults are back in earnest, was doing an Exeter to Plymouth with a 150/2 and before I even left Exeter St Davids the engine had stalled three times. Ahh well, time to switch it off in settings again.

There are also no engine sounds in the cab either.

It seems to this update has buggered the 150 good and proper.

Are there still plans to address the other sea texture issues at Dawlish Warren and along the Paignton-Torquay section on Xbox? 20251010_125434.jpg

Also, the fix to the texture issue at Dawlish seems to just push the issue slightly further along the line and closer to Dawlish station 20251010_125221.jpg

Hi there. Just checking up on this as it was listed as fixed. Is it still happening at Dawlish or just Dawlish Warren this time?

Has anyone noticed the brakes won’t release on the Class 150? Even with doors closed it’s still flagging as unlocked, so it won’t move.

Latest patch update has broken riviera line on PS5. as noted earlier on 150 engine shuts down after a few seconds. Voyager is completely broken on one service when closing doors, door mechanism keeps going and hud stays on lock doors, on 3 other services engine sound dissappear after a few seconds and Train accelerates as if in notch 1. I gave up trying anything else after that.well done DTG

The bottom photo is of Dawlish post update. It's passable as the sea is no longer missing alongside the train as you exit the tunnels. However, the next sea 'tile' loads in quite late on the approach to Dawlish station, as you can see in the photo.

The top photo on my post is of Dawlish Warren as you pull out of the station towards Starcross. The sea on the right is completely missing.

The third location is on the section between Torquay and Paignton, where the sea is missing on the left as you drive along. There's just a dark blue and grey texture there instead. I haven't got a photo of that right now but I believe it's like that on all platforms :)

Since the update, my train faults don't appear on screen, and the 150 is insufferable to drive due to the CONSTANT engine stalls. Not just one engine, both simultaneously and I can't get above 40. Please address this.

Probably the same bug I had on the 220 on free roam, leading car engine goes quiet after some amount of time and the train stops accelerating. Must be a fault issue, that doesn’t make itself officially known or fixable in the correct way.

Was running a service with the 150 and encountered a TSR which did not set off the AWS at the warning board. I don't think it is important as to what service or where, since these are random.

Presumably their "artists" indulging their love of grafitti again. For once, can't they just give us a route unspoiled by this urban blight?

Today after the update did a service with the Class 166 GWG. Drove over a red signal by accident but the game didn't say anything like service failed, just let me continue and finish the service. Don't know if anyone else had some similar issue and if its related to the update

OK so had the same faults on the 150 likealready reported. One thing though is I had faults turned off before this patch and the patch turned them back on.

Made it interesting as also had notifications turned off so i only guessed what happened when the trains speed tanked while going uphill

    Can I just confirm:
Are both the 220 and 150 having repeated faults?

If so, what platforms are people seeing this on?

from what I have read also in Leipzig Dresden feedback thread, those trains seem to suffer from this too... havent seen many ppl report this in Morristown thread, but atm it looks like the whole fault system has gone bonkers... which sucks, cos I planned to do some TSW runs after work... guess I will play sth else till this is fixed - cos I kinda liked this feature, but not when it does this constantly, then it is not fun at all
