Journey elements have vanished from the second section of the 294 and apparently also Riviera Line. Not sure if there are others.

Now whether this is a result of the hot fix or the borked patch, unsure. I just left TSW untouched on Friday evening after it became apparent DTG had made a complete bodge of things.

At this rate I hope TSW6 and it's core routes a d features get fixed before it's left to rot for TSW7 release in 10 months.
This is the first year I did not get TSW at since I got burned with all the problems of TSW4 and TSW5 only for them to be very heavily discounted only months after release and still in sorry states.

TSW5 core routes still have many massive errors, bugs and glitches but they're oldnews now and TSW6 is the new hot mess.

Its getting worse overall I'm sorry to say.

Well I've chucked it in the corner, in favour of progressing my industry supply chain in FS25 on the superb Saxlingham map. First up the bakery, bread and cakes... mmmmm.

If I didn't know better, the events of the last day or two with the patch and hotfix almost smack of someone trying to screw up the game from within.

The sad thing, is that there is so, so, so much potential in this game.

I mean when it is good, it is bloody marvellous, but then it goes and ruins it all with a stupid bug or error.

What they really need IMO, is a freeze (or real reduction) on new content for two to four months (or more if required) and then to launch an absolute blitz on as many known and fixable bugs as possible in the core game and route/loco dlcs from past years, all hands on deck style, to make the game feel polished and rewarding at all times. Once that is done, you can reassess the 'roadmap' and take it from there, making sure that all future dlc goes through a more stringent QC process and that player feedback and bug discovery is really listened to and acted upon.

But that will never happen because releasing the new DLC is what makes the money and going back and fixing old broken bits just doesn't really! However - and maybe I am alone in this - I would not mind paying a little more for stuff, if I knew that is was going to be of the highest quality possible, an extra fiver or tenner for not encountering 90% of these bugs and glitches would be well worth it for me personally.

They are not unique in this respect in the games world though unfortunately. I played FIFA (now FC) for many years and that game is a broken mess these days, despite EA profits dwarfing almost every other gaming company out there. They would never fix bugs either, or they would break something else when they did. Except for the points store where they made all their money. If there was an issue with that, then it was fixed pronto!

My experience with it so far has been broadly positive. Turned off the faults as that’s not something I’m particularly thrilled about happening whilst I’m driving, but I like the temporary speed restrictions and signal holds, albeit I’ve got them turned down to low occurrence.

Route wise, Riviera is pretty excellent. Vanishing sea aside, I’ve not had any issues on Xbox and no blurry textures that I can recall. Timetable is superb and if we’re assuming this was largely a Rivet product then their redemption arc is in full swing (for full disclosure I really like Fife, IOW 2022 and Bernina anyway).

Perhaps my biggest surprise was just how much I’m enjoying Leipzig - Dresden. I don’t play a massive amount of the German content usually and hadn’t touched the OG version in years, but this one has really grabbed me. Find the full length runs incredibly satisfying to get my teeth into and the timetable variation is superb.

Not touched Morristown yet, but will do once I’ve played Leipzig to death.

It’s been terribly disappointing and I’m completely dissatisfied and as such haven’t played in over a week. I don’t want to waste time and effort on the unfinished mess that they shamefully released.
