    I've been tinkering with the OTS mod for the WCMLS again, for a while now actually.
    And although in game everything is smooth at 200% screen percentage while using the Beast version of the Lighting mod (using LS), whenever I tried recording it with OBS, the result was always stutter y.

    I think I found the solution though, as it turns out I was recording it all wrong.
    I have now set up 2 different scenes with OBS, one for LS, and one for my display.

    I don't know if its just me, and it is obvious to everyone else, but I never knew to record LS game play this way.
    Anyway, here's a link to a video guide I followed to get it to (for the most part) work.
    For me, in game, everything is as smooth as it should be, but whatever I record is still slightly jittery, but acceptable imo.


    And, if anyone is interested, here's a ~1 min clip.
    (Still using VBR suggested by Train Sim Society )

    Thanks, should nicely double up on the spookiness once I set the time of year to winter and get the giant glowing green crystals.

    if you gonna plan to drive the whole length just start at Potash
    further ahead there is more floating trash but on the left side then

    The glowing green crystals are gone! Don't know when they fixed them, but I just drove CCB last night and the shrubs are normal.

    What month did you have the date set to? They only appear around midwinter.
    Not seen any CC updates since I last ran it to test the bug a couple of weeks back. Or was it something TSW6 core updates fix that I'm not seeing in 5?

    they look like crystals are those not plants with bad texture?
    might be winter related

    you get some weird whiteness (weird looking snow patches) on Sandpatch too in December or in January

    Yep, specifically the vegetation on Cane Creek gives a great bugging out at that time of year to look like Command & Conquer Tiberium. You can pretend that UP liveried loco is a GDI harvester.

    Interestingly enough, if you DO make the weather snow it becomes a lot less noticeable.

    That's 100% true! When you change some stuff this can be the result. So do not change stuff without any knowledge what's going on with it!

    or do not look upwards :)

    I mean from TSW 5, i used it for TSW 6 as well, but can’t find the settings for remove it for the Floating Trees issue

    Is there an estimated release date for the update? I'm in no rush; there are still plenty of old routes. But should we expect an update before the New Year?

    If you remove This Settings, The Floating Blocks Are removed
    We have Test This with other People in the Community Today.

    In a nutshell, I have settings for the ‘Beast’ preset. What I don’t have is the time at the moment to convert and compile those into all the others. Realistically it will be next month before I have any time to spare to even look at it.

    I also need to speak to Foobian as well as I’m aware of how to make GodMode compatible with new routes but it remains his baby, what he does with it is entirely up to him.

    I don't want to be rude, but could you post what you have? I'm using the beast preset right now. The God mod for the new routes has already been posted here.

    Hey JetWash just wanted to say thank you for these presets. I've been using them since TSW 4 and I can't ever see myself going back to Dovetail's default visuals. It makes the sim much more enjoyable and immersive.

    +1. I'll probably use Ultra settings from similar routes for the time being, to make do until you're able to update fully for TSW6, as I'm sure those will still be hugely better than default.

    that is more in an combination with r.ViewDistanceScale=3 i think
    setting r.ViewDistanceScale=1 gets no floating blocks in sky
    set it at 2 is a little bit etc
    on Antelope Valley Line i have no ini line like grass.CullDistanceScale=3 at all and the floating block where there too
    maybe the effect is different on other routes
    ----
    tested on Antelope Valley Line
    r.ViewDistanceScale=4 is tree blocks high in the sky but with adding
    grass.CullDistanceScale=0.5 those blocks will disapear

    but will net into a little follige poping
    still it looks better then just using r.ViewDistanceScale=1

    Ok, I tried to get screen grabs to help, but, since what I am about to say is right at the top of the screen, so couldn't.
    Left click to get your cursor to go to the arrow,
    Hover it over the very top of the screen, this will cause a drop-down menu to appear.
    At the right side of this menu are 4 icons, you want the second from the left, click on it.
    You will see the following dialogue box appear.

    When not filled in, it will have several places to put the file, use the very top one to paste the info given by JetWash.
    Remember that GodMode must be installed prior to doing this.

    Do I need to enter this every time or is it enough to save it once and everything will work automatically in future launches?

    I just tried the new settings for the Crewe Birmingham Route. It looks fantastic with the new ini settings but unfortunately the blocks in the sky are appearing 12 miles out from Wolverhampton (Heading from Crewe to Wolverhampton). I tried setting the ViewDistanceScale to 1 as suggested elsewhere, but got the same result. I'd welcome any suggestion how to get rid of them.

    Thank You, that looks like it works. I drove to the same place to recreate it then changed the setting and the sky became clear. I'll do a test of a full run with the new setting later.

    Edit : After a few runs last night and this morning, I haven't seen anymore blocks in the sky. So thanks again.

    I remove the Grass Ini complete and it works on Cardiff and WCML South
