Hi all Not sure if this is just me but I have noticed on Xbox series X whilst driving at night when view from in cab I’ve noticed it is very dark I understand it is night time but when looking for speed markers it does come up last second, in real life if you are in cab it would not be as dark as it portrays is this a issue because when you change camera view to outside it seems you can see a lot better and more of a distance to what you would in cab, hope this makes perfect sense thanks all.
It looks like the in game trains do have some kind of tinted windows, what makes the outside camera more bright. I don't know if your statement about real life is true, depending on where you are, it can be pitch black. I also read on this forum, UK trains has terrible lights.
Im a driver and I can tell you tsw's representation of night lighting is awful, its the 1 massive bugbear of mine. Its way too dark, yes if you are in the middle of nowhere it will be dark but not to the point you still cant see things until the last second like speed boards etc.
Isn't night lighting not a general problem in games? Lights sources in games are only spreading the light over a short distance compared to real life. Lot of other games are way to bright at night time, what takes away the whole feeling of being at night. To be honest, in my opinion the night lighting in TSW is not that bad, I've seen games with way worse lighting.
Tbh I find it better in tsc then tsw, I know you can use godmode etc to alter it but its still never right imo.
Thank you everyone for this, I’m glad it’s not just me witnessing, i thought with this being the 6th instalment there would of been a resolution to this issue, it is shocking when in cab you can’t even see the track in front of you i know headlights are brighter than what they portray in the game, hope they can come up with a conclusion to this issue as I like a night drive.
No, I think it's because dovetail have implemented night time as 0% light from anywhere even with headlights on full blast when in reality even on a moonless night you'd still have ambient light. I've never had trouble playing at night on ETS, ATS or farming simulator etc with headlights on.
