I had a friend message me this morning saying that despite downloading the class 86 for TSW6 it wasn't showing up on game. I've checked mine and the same, my class 86 has vanished despite having it installed, I can't choose it. We are both on PS5.
Seems to be a common issue with TSW6... I am on PS5, and had the same issue and managed to resolve it. If you go to the main menu on your PS5, click the 'options' menu on the TSW6 logo, and then click 'Restore Licence' it should resolve the issue and any missing rolling stock should reappear. It's a weird fix, but it worked for me. I had the Class 87 disappear and by clicking the 'restore licence' on the PS5 main menu and then starting the game from fresh it resolved the issue for me.
I had my Class 47's disappear on PS5 too, restarting the game wouldn't fix it but then it came back randomly, very weird
I raised a ticket on the 86 missing and the response was apparently this is intended? Was there in TSW5 so I'm a bit confused? Unless it's part of preparing the current timetables for the new route and rolling stock? I'm glad I hadn't got round to uninstalling TSW5 yet, as I'll use that for Preston - Crewe in the meantime until it's fixed.
Intended? Are you @#£&* kidding?!?!?!??!!! What possible justification can there be for EXCLUDING paid content???!?!?!!! Absolute NONSENSE. I never noticed it happening in TSW5, either. More nonsense. It’s BROKEN!
My London to Milton Keynes route disappeared on xbox its not on my order history either which was weird cause i bought the route when it first came out now it says i have to pay for it again which is ridiculous
I had my Class 87 disappear on PC , after I brought S o S DLC in the autumn sale. I then uninstalled S o S and my Class 87 reappeared. I have an older PC running Wnds 10 ,with TSW 6 on it and class 87 was still there until I brought the Class 170 DLC last week & then that made my Class 87 disappear. ( Timetable mode) I had a go this morning at uninstalling & reinstalling my DLC 's and class 87 is there in timetable mode with all my DLC's installed. So seems to be resolved now on PC at least. I did put a report into Support last week about this. I don't have the Class 86 yet . hoping for a future sale. It does seem that every year TSW is upgraded we get these new bugs appear.
So after doing the restore license option, that didn't work for me, so I uninstalled it and had to reinstall everything which takes several hours at least. That did bring it back. But I shouldn't have to do that in the first place, and it being "Intentional" is absolute... I'll put nonsense as I can't swear. How can it be intentional to deny you a DLC you have paid for.
The response I received from support: "Thank you for your message and for bringing this to our attention. We can confirm that the Class 86 is currently not available as a playable option in the Preston – Carlisle timetable mode, though it does appear in scenarios and as AI traffic. This is the intended setup at this time. We understand that some players would like to see the Class 86 added to the playable timetable, and while there are no changes to announce regarding this, your feedback has been noted and shared with the team for consideration. Thank you again for taking the time to reach out." I'll try reinstalling TSW6 in it's entirety as I'm still not getting the 86 appearing in the timetable. *edit* Still no luck after reinstalling TSW6. I think it'll be back to TSW5 in the meantime.
It's ironic it's happened to the class 86, as it's also the term used in restaurants to remove something!
But the 86 was #*^%*# targeted directly at Preston-Carlisle!!! How can they make it unavailable to play less than a year after release ??? @DTGMatt surely this is incorrect?!?!?!? If it IS correct there’s something really wrong with TSW6… makes me not want to buy anything further if they’re just going to yank is from us. Or bin TSW6 and go back to TSW5 … grrr… I’m really annoyed by this (as if you couldn’t tell) I wonder what JT think about this?
It’s probably linked to the class 86/4 and also the best part is that it seems to only be happening to some and not all owners
Which is why it has to be a bug and not “the intended setup at this time” … even if it is intended behaviour it’s still broken because its’s only happening to some people. Weasel words and a cockup, but no apology, explanation or forewarning. Grrrrrrr. And it doesn’t address the missing 87 and ither randomly disappearing and reappearing locos and routes.
I'm raising a bug report on this too. Maybe the more people complain the more they'll listen. Although something tells me they're all hands to the pumps at the moment anyhow...
Class 86 shows for me, in menu and when spawning on foot. However, I decided to download the few German stuff I own as I fancied something different, which removed the Class 87 from the menu. However, it was still available by spawning on foot. Series X.
Further update, I've received another response from DTG support and in fairness they have acknowledged and apologised for the false report on it being 'intended'. They are looking into the issue now, so hopefully will be resolved in a patch soon.
That’s more like it! They haven’t responded at all to me, FWIW That being said, the 86 has reappeared magically after I installed Birmingham-Crewe this morning, so I’m a happy bunny again. At least until is disappears again…
