The ghost train has been operated by 377s in the past, it's on YouTube.
The boards on the outside are wrong, they are scrolling and the text is far too big.

Lol.. New TSW DLC always turns me dowright schizophrenic.

"Damn it looks so good again!"
    "But only 25 miles long!"
"Yes but BOY is it good looking!"
    "And only one train."
    "Yes but LOOK AT IT!"
"Well at least it adds some new features... not the ones I..."
    "Yes, AWESOME! Finally!"
"...not the ones I've been hoping for."
"Well no but OH LOOK TEASER PICTURE OF THE CAB! Looloolook!"
"But you said you wanted to stop always falling for the graphics."
    "Yeah but... damn those graphics!"
"Are you even listening to me?"
    "No!"
    "Yes!"
    "Yes what?"
    "Eh.. Yes, SIR!
    "No!"
"So, no... OH! It has freight servi..."
    "You know what?"
    "What?"
    "You're a hopeless case."
"No, I'm not, I'm just... OH LOOK! Devstream live now!"

It’s the fact at how amusingly big the text is compared to real life. It should be a lot smaller and compact. It’s almost as if they went and selected the wrong font size and style.

Me too but then according to a poster on here that makes me some simpleton with a low attention span, a casual gamer who only wants to play half an hour at a time. I have spent many hours on this sim and others.

What a ridiculous assertion to make and to try and take some moral high ground just because someone doesn't complain all the time, it just beggars belief, I am actually astonished said poster even managed to type what they did and thought it was acceptable and even accurate as though they think that somehow they are a better person! I would think it was irony but I think that would be too subtle!

I care very much about the hobby, I am a huge railway enthusiast and quite a purist when it comes to realism, I am certainly not a casual gamer.

But the price is too expensive for short routes when TS got like 200 Kilometers for the same TSW price.

But the detail is higher and the hours to make a routes take longer to make. It may take as long to build a 30 mile route than it does a 200 mile route.

He’s having a bad day mate don’t worry. He states a lot of ‘facts’ about the player base and their ages when he himself can’t even spell ‘veteran’

And with TS, they have almost a decade of assets they can reuse don't they?

Looks like 90% (or more) passenger, 10% or less freight. No manual available for perusal. Only 10% off for early purchase. That's three strikes -- and DTG is O-U-T of my wallet this time. I'm sure that the "touchers" will enjoy it.

Not even a promise of shunting and loading will attract me to this paltry package.

The route looks great and all, but the length is letting it down again. I feel kind of bad for DTG though because the complexity of TSW means that they can't keep a high level of detail and keep the routes coming out quickly. The DTG workforce, after all, is not that of a major developer. What could fix this issue? THE EDITOR. We've seen so many good TSxx routes from outside developers, but nada for TSW because it isn't an option.

Edit: Is it just me or is the dest. display lacking a bit.

Guilty of what? You know nothing about individual users of TSW you just think people fit neatly into little boxes you have compiled to justify your own rantings! You don't have the answers you just have an opinion and a point of view just like everyone else on here which is no more relevant than anyone elses!

Well that is reflective of the route in real life, it is mainly a passenger route.

Still us "touchers" and "simpletons who like pretty pictures" will enjoy it!

I didn't have you down as coming out with comments like that!

I still think we’ll only see this once the editor is out. Until then DTG will pump out average length routes and a solid base of locos for us to enjoy.

Frankly, I have my doubts. Take this current one for example. All that was needed to go to Hastings - apart from the stations themselves and the occasional local landmark - is random English countryside and small town architecture. Shouldn't have been hard to make with the assets in existance now.

Of course having a bespoke engine worked soooo well for the previous gen of train sim didn't it. Unless it's changed in the last year, the menus used a horrendous amount of RAM and the sim itself was very poorly optimised in its use of computer resources

It was hard to figure out if the teaser was TSW or TS2020. It seems like everything looks more flat and less shiny.

I’m excited too. First modern UK route in over 2 years is very exciting even if the route is rather disappointingly short. I’ve travelled on the 377s for years so really looking forward to it in the game and what has been improved since the TS one. Hopefully at the very least the sounds as the default sounds were horrendous in TS. I’m really hoping for interactive monitors in the cab and scrolling PIS both inside and out. Cab sway (rumoured to be in testing) would be great too.

Disappointing to see from the screenshots that the platform PIS screens are still not working. Would add an amazing amount of immersion if they were and I was assuming that DTG were holding off from releasing another modern route until they could get PIS fully working in game. It appears not.

When it comes to this kind of things, TSW routes are fairly good. A bit like in trade-off where level of detail is at negative 5 and amount of content (eg route length) is at positive five, DTG set their marker at positive 10.

All AWS ramps on 3rd rail systems are extra strength and painted Brunswick green to identify them.

Disagree on this. People who are local want it to reflect the locality so roads and buildings should approximate the actual rather than "random"

Sure, but you can't really expect them to build more or less every single house along the route. The German and US routes also re-use the same collection of houses and city buildings over and over again, including large notable ones, especialy in the US. Nobody ever complained about that, at least not that I was aware of.

These routes have their locals too, and I for myself certainly don't miss these super ugly blue-greenish office blocks just east of Wuppertal Hbf for example.

The majority of the playerbase will never have been to Bexhill or Pevensey, nor will they ever go there in their live. Maybe on Google streetview, but that's about it.

No, but you CAN expect that where there is a terrace of houses 100m from the line that it features in game, is a terrace and not semi detached and even if the yellow house at number 14 isn't yellow, it's not something stupid like a german castle...
As an example, I live about 2 mins walk from Gillingham station in Kent and I can "fly over to" my house in TSx and it is relatively accurate, including road layouts.
    So 60% accurate or thereabouts

You have that in real too. There are standard types of houses you find everywhere in Germany for example. Especially the appertmenthouses from the 1970- and 1980's are standardized types of buildings all around eastgermany. The same with the single house type EW 65 B and the double house type EW 65 D. Actuall it is not so much other when you pass the new singlehouses settlements here in real. You see so much houses that looks completely the same or very similar.

Then I'd be wrong and so would Railsigns and Wiki. But they certainly aren't only on Southampton/Bournemouth routes as you suggest. Think you misread the Railsigns article.

You're correct. Here's a green, abeit dirty, AWS magnet at Lewes:

    Clean green one at Lewes:

    Looking forward to buy it.
But I do not understand why only one freight wagon. Why not use some from GWE?
And lenght is not that important unless there are lot of services, so that rails and stations are not empty.
This is what is disturbing me.

Okay, I admit im wrong , so are there yellow and green aws. Didn't want to start an argument. One thing I don't think thats Seaford because Seaford has only one platform.
