So with the 37/5 the cab switch lever basically works well, in that you must turn it off in cab A to use it in cab B and if you have the cab switch on in both, then you will not be able to cancel the alarm. However, with the 37/7, it really does not matter. You can literally have AWS working if you have one of the AWS isolations open. That is it. Cab switch levers can both be off and even the AWS isolation in the working cab can be off and you will still get AWS working fine. You can also have the AWS iso and the cab switch lever on in cab A, but off in cab B and still use AWS with no issues in cab B, which makes the lever pointless. Anyone familiar with the loco in real life, is this how it is/was, or just a poor implementation in the 37/7 in game?
How it is on the 37/5 is correct. If you have both change end switches in at the same time you should not be able to cancel the alarm
Yeah, this is what I had read. But it doesn't work well on the 37/7. Although it will still lock out the brakes if you don't have the right lever up. Most of the time anyway. There are other times where in certain circumstances you can. The 37/7 has a few bugs with the safety systems anyway to be honest. You also occasionally get a silent vigilance alarm (that should not exist on this train I believe) that shows an alert on the hub, but no sound and can only be cleared (on Xbox anyway), by manually clicking on the DSD pedal with the cursor. And the hub alert comes up a bit before the alarm sounds for AWS, so by the time you hear the alert, you have a very small window to react before the brake penalty kicks in. Other times, you got throttle lock out and just can't get back in, despite doing everything and anything to try and also there are times after a brake penalty, that even without full access back to throttle and brakes released you just can't get traction, or forward movement at all, even on a decline. Apart from that though, I really enjoy this train, fun to drive and a nice chugging sound (like a tractor surprisingly!!).
