    Comment regards Birmingham to Crewe

On top of 150s being used instead of 158s on TfW's Birmingham International to Aberystwyth and Pwllheli via Wolverhampton, it would seem according to the platform announcement I just heard the platform announcer at Wolverhampton say that the trains go non stop to Aberystwyth. Which they don't, there s a number of stations before then including Machynlleth where the train splits in 2 (one half to Aberystwyth, the other half to Pwllheli).

Inaccuracy is endemic at DTG towers.

True but, if All Aboard had done their checks as well, there wouldn't have been the problems.

    It's not just AI.
99.9% of the world has no idea how to pronounce Welsh names.
Last time I was in Wales, even some of the locals couldn't agree on how to pronounce some things!

Ah yes Welsh names such as Welshpool, Newtown, Bow Street and Shrewsbury. I mean it managed Aberystwyth , all it needs to do is Caersws, Machynlleth, Borth and Pwllheli (can't remember if they mention all the stations up the coast east of the border..

Drive a Birmingham-Llandudno service earlier. Once I got to Wolverhampton it seemed the next step was Llandudno lol.

Pity the route cuts north. Lived in Shifnal while working in Telford for a few months many years back. Would have been nice to see what it looks like today (well as far as it is in TSW anyway) Still, might pick the route up just to drive through Wolverhampton and Birmingham.
Everytime someone says "Wolverhampton" it reminds me of a cranky old coworker I had there that used to rant that "ain't nothin' ya need beyond Wolverhampton" (meaning Birmingham and points east) Everything worth anything is in Shropshire!"
