The Millenium Falcon is currently on hold until I can find a more permanent place to build it. Keeping moving it about everytime I want to build it has caused damaged to bits. I aim to make about a meter square bespoke Coffee table with the falcon as center piece. But this will be more of a scene as its either based in the Death Star Hanger or docking port in Mos Eisley on Tatooine. I also have anumber of Star Wars minifigures. Greef Carga, Luke Skywalker and Finn from Force $Awakens and the BAd Batch fgures as well, and the other six sets.

I feel your pain on the Falcon. I've had the UCS Venator unbuilt sealed in the box in storage since it came out, and I don't even want to look at the damn thing until we find a house and *know* where it's going to live lol. I've even looked into one of those expensive display cases for it, just because I know that once it's built it is not moving except for an act of god.

That just makes it more accurate to the real Falcon. :)

I'd vote for the Death Star hangar. Then you can lay out a full scene, with Kenobi and Vader fighting off to the side while stormtroopers watch and our heroes hightail it to the ship.

Yep, much easier and cheaper to plan out other people's Lego projects for them. :)

Looking forward to the pictures when you're done.

18 more sets to go. I'm really excited to start building my 90's Lego Town layout once we finally find a house.

It's not technically Lego but definitely is Lego like so I'd hazard a guess it will fit in this thread..... IMG-20250823-WA0000.jpeg

Have just found some pictures of some of my official Lego models I've bought and built.
This is just a fraction of what I got hidden away in what I call the Lego garage.......

    The Porg! Lol, love it!

I hear you on the stuff stored away. Just like my model trains, I have totes and totes and totes stored away for when I can do a full display once we find a house.

Thank you, Unfortunately Not Motorised, The Class 50 Would Be Easy To Motorise While The Class 20 Would Be More Difficult But Something I Am Considering!

yea those cases are expensive, I debated building my own, plastic for glass replacements and a couple of sides seemed cheaper than £200 ones I saw, the stand where it tilts about 45 degrees looks cool but I’m always afraid of the non official instructions to take it apart :D

I personally recommend a good ikea wardrobe or cupboard technically :D

To be honest just putting the damn Venator together scares me, haha. The last UCS set I did was the A-Wing and even that tested my patience on occasion.

It's really going to depend on the house we find and the space I have to work with as far as displays go. I'll probably end up going with the Ikea/Amazon cases for most of my dioramas, but I'm still not sure about the Venator. I also saw there's a rumor for a new UCS SSD next year, so depending on how that looks, I may or may not need to plan for additional space (I may also skip it; I bought one of the Armada SSD models a while back, which in itself is a beautiful display piece.)

The recent official Lego Star Wars releases haven't really done much for me lately. The models themselves are becoming a smaller scale while the prices are going up. I've actually been more interested in the Rebrickable MOC's lately than the official stuff. I just put a Zero-G Stormtrooper together the other day and he looks pretty good for the scale and being brick-built.

cool stormtrooper, nice details whilst also keeping it close to figure size looks great.

The venator was I found to be a rather surprisingly not too difficult of a build and is a lot more stable than I feared despite some of its angles and how the sidings and back engines attach, nice when completed

the only issue I had with mine was my mistake of doing engine 2 I think it was wrongly, worried I was gonna have to take the whole ship apart but in the end was just a quick engine rebuild.

I’ve been collecting some Lego sets since last year, I got one for my birthday and had a lot of joy building, maybe enjoyed it a lot that I didn’t want to wait another year to do that again :D after that I had my eyes set on my big prize at the end of last year

    upload_2025-10-31_0-20-33.jpeg

RMS Titanic in all her Grandeur, a fine Flagship

I do also heavily favour the Architecture sets, first being gifted the London Skyline then picking up Norte Dame back in February (I went to a job interview, said if I get it I’ll get it and I got it ;))

if I was gonna light any of them up with light kit Notre I always thought would make a great set to do that

i recently picked up Himeji castle aswell from the Architecture range, playing and enjoying AC shadows definitely helped swing me even more in favour of adding that one to the collection

    upload_2025-10-31_0-27-18.jpeg

More recently I picked up the Harry Potter Icons set before it retires, sitting in the box at the minute as I need to mention to a relative about getting some shelving putting in. Titanic was what I called my own Christmas gift last year (early one as I like to catch the Black Friday offers) I’ve got my eyes set on the 5ft 4 Effiel Tower this year, we’ll see ;) and of course the New Neuchwanstein for sometime around Spring 2026

That covers probably getting on for about 20% of my collection so far :) lego and my bank card are not always the best of friends ;) lego being one of my latest hobbies, room is now tight for the big sets unfortunately so I will have to see :)
