Hello there! I started planning my own route at the beginning of September. As it is quite long, I am making progress little by little, kilometre by kilometre. Initially, I experienced some issues with the Google Maps overlay, but reactivating it or changing the API key resolved them. However, for some weeks now, the API has not been loading images as I progress. The output log said there was an 'enum error'. Today, when I reached a section that required building without the overlay, I decided to update to the TSW6 Editor in the hope that it would solve the issue. It loaded correctly the cached images from TSW5 Editor, but for the others it says, 'Your request cannot be served because satellite and hybrid map types are not available for your account and region', with a link explaining that satellite images from Google Maps Static API are no longer available for accounts in the EEA (https://developers.google.com/maps/comms/eea/maps-static) I have seen threads about overlays not working, but I haven't seen any posts with a similar error, which surprises me as I would have thought that many of us are in the EEA. Has anyone seen anything like this? Thanks!
It should work fine, maybe double check your api key is okay? I would double check your google account just in case.
I tried several keys just in case, but no luck. Also, only 'Satellite' and 'Hybrid' cannot be loaded. I guess 'Roadmap' would also be broken if there was an issue with the key
Consider asking Beentrain about this, I think he's better positioned to explain the issue, having encountered it with development of his Thirdrails plugin for TSW recently.
