    Running TSW6 Version 1.011 on PS5.

I had 10 personal formations in TSW5 that were made using the "Formation designer" with mainly dirty blue (and one green Class 33) British diesels each with a handful of passenger coaches. I also had a 4 coach Class 700 that I created using the help of a thread on this forum. These trains were always in use with the Scenario editor and various free roam options and worked perfectly in TSW5.

When I got TSW6, I imported my old profile from TSW5 and was happy to see that my personal trains had been brought over too. These trains are available in the formation designer and can be edited and saved but unfortunately NONE of the designed formations are now visible when adding a train into the game.

Normally when adding a train you would choose the type and go to the "Personal" tab where the designer train would be. Whilst this all worked perfectly in TSW5, nothing shows up in the personal area in TSW6 despite them being listed and available in the actual formation designer.

I have tried creating all new train formations in the designer and they seem to be saved OK but are not there when I try and use them on a route in game.

A quick forum search shows other people having problems with the Formation Designer in TSW6 but there seems no official reply as to why it is happening and what is being done.

This function was one of my fave things in TSW5 and it not working in TSW6 is a major disappointment. I have three questions I would be very grateful to have answered.

    1) Does anyone else have a problem using trains made with Formation Designer in TSW6 on PS5 or other platforms?

    2) Is there a different way to actually use designer trains?

    3) Has DTG commented on possible problems with this function?

Try turning on UGC Formations or whatever the option is called, if it is off it stops you from selecting any custom formations

    THANK YOU!

That has done the trick and my designer trains are now both visible and usable.

For anyone else having the same issues, the settings option that needs changing is in the "Advanced settings" menu. Just change "UGCFormation Substitutions" to enabled.

Once again, thank you so much MJCKP for helping me out.

Also if any mods see this, please close or delete this thread as the problem is completely fixed and was my fault all along.

Leave the thread open as it will help other users if they have the same problem. :)
