With the upload of 37142 in BR Blue as above, I decided to label it up as 'Team B&WR' (Bodmin & Wenford Railway), so I've decided to complete the team:

08444 in newly-repainted BR Blue

 

Class 10 D3452 in BR Black with faded extra-large early crest:

Clearing up a few stragglers in my Livery Editor:

Class 104 (Rep) 53477 + 53529 in BR Blue with white stripe. Used in the Manchester - Blackpool area in the early 1980s.

 

A 'What If...' of a 1972 MK2 Tube stock train in Edinburgh Corporation Transport colours for use on the tram tracks on Edinburgh - Glasgow.

 

BR Class 101 3-car DMU in Network SouthEast colours - the first variant with the lighter Blue.

 

Tiphook Bogie Steel Wagon, used between the Continent and various yards in the UK:

 

I found an interesting pic of a BR 12T van recently, squirrelled away inside the closed Buxton TMD. The photographer had taken a decent pic of the wagon, including decal details and so I have produced this van to remember a long-lost veteran of the railways (unless its preserved somewhere.)

Now I'm messing about with West Somerset I was wondering if you've made a CL101 DMU in Chocolate and Cream livery? I think that one of these would look quite good in scenarios. Maybe matching the colours of a Skipper?

Hi David. I thought the emblem on the Class 10 was unique to this loco, but pictures suggest they all had oversize emblems.
I'm not sure if any Class 101s were ever Choccy & Cream, but it sounds like an interesting variation. Would have thought one of the GW heritage lines might have done one.

A couple of Steam locos up next, left over from when I was churning out the Jubilee 'lookalikes'. They were both used for livery experiments by the newly formed BR in 1948. Black 5 44762 was given a coat of Southern Railways Malachite Green and 'Sunshine' Yellow lettering. This livery was not adopted.

 

Black 5 44764 received GWR Green with Black & Orange lining. This livery was adopted for secondary passenger locos and eventually for all Passenger locos.

 

Another train lingering in the archives is this 'What If...' What if BR had built a fleet of HSTs especially for the Scottish Region. Complete in ScotRail Blue Executive livery, they were numbered as Class 255. Here is 255006, consisting of PC 43211 'City of Stirling' and PC 43212 'County of Stirlingshire'.

Might one of your Scottish HSTs have been named 'Rab C Nesbit' ?
(A fine Scottish name and a, not very often, upstanding citizen).

 

I did consider 'Rab C Nesbit' as a name, and also 'Irn Bru - Scotlands finest beverage', but then I sat down and contemplated my life with a whiskey and decided on something more 'BR'.

I've not done the LT 20s. As Tom mentioned, a bit out of my time range, although that doesn't always stop me. TBH, it's not something I've considered doing as I have no particular personal interest. Perhaps in the future. They're both headcode 20s too, so atm we have no suitable donor, although that will change soon.

 

Fair enough, I could do it but I just don’t think I could do physically do it as well as the time spend to do it

 

I was a little unhappy with my ScotRail HST 2+7 (GWE) as it is really too long for the Edinburgh - Glasgow runs and Platforms, so I decided to relivery one of the MML HST 2+6. I've had issues with the MML 2+6 before (but had forgotten about them) and so was reminded that the MK3 coaches will not accept livery layers on their complete side panels. There is a bug which makes the livery sit 'inside' the bodysides. This bug was not there originally as I have done some liveries with this asset.
That gave me an idea and I cloned an existing 2+6 relivery and found I could alter the colours and keep the layers intact! Yay! However, I could not add layers to certain parts, so the lettering and numbers have had to be placed either higher up or lower down than normal.
I built the livery in TSW4 for maximum usage and uploaded it. All fine. Until I downloaded it into TSW5, which I am using for a scenario and discovered that the game had rearranged the coach liveries! So the 1st Class coach was now Standard class livery, and the Buffet livery was on a Standard coach.
I moved the liveries around until all was good and uploaded it as a variation. So now there are 2 variants - one for TSW4 and the other for TSW 5 and 6. Take care which one you download!
