I have some Virgin Pendo AI traffic, is there any chance they can be looked at as the logo on the side is completely wrong.

Publicising email addresses of other users or DTG staff is literally against the rules according to the code of conduct.

I suppose that the audio isn't getting fixed either, always the poor second cousin! Where's the reverb?

I'm hoping in any case the braking physics can be reverted to the way they were before the patch... It really was noticeable in a positive way how different the braking physics were compared to the original WCMLS variant. The extremely sharp braking on the original 350 and the Class 380 put me off of playing them to much... Hopefully this can be submitted as feedback to make sure the original physics can be reapplied to the AAS 350/1 variant as it was a nice mix.

To be fair the 350/3 was the first sub class I give a drive upon release, and today was my first 350/1 drive and there was a noticeable difference between the braking I experienced on the 350/3 (which was really nice, strong enough, but not overly sharp or dramatic), and the 350/1 which felt like a I had the PBC nearing full service and de-accelerating unrealistically rapidly.

I may have to give the 350/2 and 350/3 another drive to see if they are effected in the same way since the update.

17617883757307049371148137392955.jpg So I've been spawning on foot around the stations along the route to get the collectables, and I stumbled upon this mischievous sign at Crewe? Seriously coincidental, given AABS' next release for the WCMLS.. is this a nod to what's to come? Potentially?

As for myself, no, I don't remove posts; the only thing that might be removed are spam posts, but that's an automatic removal. I did notice, though, that sometimes the forum page numbers catch me, and I wind up replying to older posts, and the page shows more posts after that.

As far as I'm concerned, I leave posts alone; I can't speak for others, however.

I'm so sorry you're feeling this way. Take a break and let yourself destress. Mental health is always more important than anything else.

Thanks Candace. Think I probably jumped to the wrong conclusion on that. One member had redacted their post, just seemed strange there was such a large time gap then to the previous one.

I apologise for any wrong assertions.

It’s my payday today and I planned to buy this route for my XBOX series X. Are the bugs and performance issues really as bad as I’ve been seeing or is it possible to run a session without a crash or ridiculous texture issues before I decide to buy it today or not. Thanks.

Indeed. Despite the partial fixes and that some of it is good, ultimately it just doesn’t feel to me like £30 worth of enjoyment route. Part of me still wishes I had waited until next year for a sale discount.

I know the feeling, Vern. I'm kicking myself for jumping at the prospect of a new route to play. But as its becoming a trend lately, it wasn't worth opening the wallet.

Thank you for your kind response Candace.

I am doing okay thank you, I just think when frustration with the game in general kicks in it's always best to step away for a week or so and come back with a level head and recharged batteries. Otherwise I feel like I am nit picking and I don't ever want to be that type of player. Hopefully in a week or so with a more comprehensive log of bugs a larger patch will be released.

Appreciate you taking time to note everyone's input too, and I'm sure the wider community share the same feelings.

How do you rectify a chain of trains suck, ie AI worked service stopped in between signal, plus an AI train stopped at Red Signal in front of playable service which is halted at Red Signal at Sandwell & Dudley station? Mainly evening on Class 150 AW

Assume this is to symbolise a simulated hit, where eventually all lines are block. Albeit the Wolverhampton side still had trains running.

Probably suffering from content overload a bit too, with the three new TSW6 routes still quite fresh plus picking up Ludwig and NY to Trenton in the last sale.

Try and identify the train at the front of the queue or the platform "blocker". Delete that and work back. Word of warning though, deleting too many trains at once can give a CTD so save before and after each successful deletion.

How are we still having issues with ‘Stopped at Instruction’?? That is a core failing of TSW.

another one for the fix list is signal 5176 (up slow, Crewe) has no AWS magnet associated.

Livery Editor is broken for the 350/1 and 350/2, The front coach on it is eather plan black or the original livery is on it, 350/3 is working as intended, As a person who creates liveries, this is very disappointing

They stated that the route itself has been set in the current year but the timetable is set in 2019. They don't currently have any plans to make a current day timetable for this route. Someone else potentially could.

Not sure if I’ve missed something here but I still have 0 layers for freight on this route despite having wcml south installed?

So so glad I held off buying this route on day 1 and held off temptation after updates.

Deffo waiting until New Year to see what state it's in then.

    Me too.

Especially on console, where i have come to realise there is little point buying any of the newer dlc.

Me too. Even though I'm on PC, I'm not encouraged by what I've been reading.

I applaud AAS for pushing the envelope in terms of quality route building but the lack of new stock and the fact that it is, after all, yet another toy train commuter route leads me to the conclusion that $40 is just too much. I'll pick this up in a deep sale at some point because of the quality rather than the gameplay.

It's weird, I've been having amazing runs with this route (especially with the real weather app), not many issues at all, and good performance considering I have an ancient PC (although Smethwick area perf could do with a look at, I believe AABS are on it).
Best experience in TSW so far for me. It's a shame there is so much disparity with users experiences with this route, hopefully all will be resolved.

Same here my laptop isn't ancient but it's below recommended spec and runs it just fine. No blurry textures, zero crashes, and not even really much UE stuttering after the initial shader caching. I run all layers but vanilla with no mods and only in 1080p fwiw.

I don't know why the peformance varies so much from route to route on PC tbh.

Console version clearly has a memory leak. I suspect all versions do but PCs can power through due to more memory overhead on average and being able to use HDD space as VM which consoles don't allow afaik.

I think it's absolutely brilliant tbh. Yes I have had an AI SPAD fail, but not encountered any other issues, and when you buy add ons on day one you expect (or should expect unless you failed history at school) issues.

I may be able to provide insight-this might just be my American brain thinking- but with, uh, not great people in the world, having the modern timetable, it could become something used for nefarious deeds.
I won't say what exactly, just let y'all understand the context.

So on the basis that new dlc should be expected to be broken is it priced accordingly? Of course not it’s at the highest price it will ever be. In fact ironically when it’s significantly reduced later in a sale it’s most likely to be fixed and in an acceptable condition to buy.
Moral is don’t encourage DTG or 3rd party devs to release broken content by buying it on day 1. Instead wait and review what other people make of the release via reviews and the forum.
Actually if more people did this we might actually get a decent quality product for our hard earned money on day one, just imagine that.

I don't think it can be that, since there are 2024 timetables on other routes. And more to the point, anyone can see the workings of any route as it is right now on the Realtime Trains website.

Far more likely in this particular case is that the timetable is set in 2019 to match the rolling stock used in Birmingham Cross City, which is also 2019 - whereas a modern timetable would require the (much-requested but not yet in game) Class 730.

Oh how I wish I could turn back the clock and not be swayed by the one or two more encouraging posts that were made immediately after release.

Obviously on PC, even my old potato, the experience isn’t quite so bad but even after the shaders have compiled there’s still stuttering aplenty, probably down to the heavy use of foliage. And that timetable plus double despatch is starting to grind my niggle.

Of course it’s not all bad. On my first trip with the Voyager, doing a dawn run from Crewe with the cloud and fog set right it was quite atmospheric. At least we have a route where we can get up a bit of sustained speed with the Voyager, though the r run I picked for some reason seemed to be on the Slow Line so only able to wind it up to 110 MPH.

I really like now with the update you can actually do services from Oxley but it really annoys me how Oxley is full and they send the 390s into the Portal. Oxley is lovely when its full and its just always empty :/

All you have is 2 stationary trains at Oxley. So you cant even come to Oxley and pick a train to set up if you spawn on foot.

I think there is a reasonable argument for a modest "early adopter" discount (like a fiver or something), since you mention it. In fact I'd go further and have a tenner discount in exchange for stuff being released quicker with even less QA, on the basis that 'crowd sourcing' the QA like that is likely to be quicker. Realistically a sensibly sized team can only QA these huge timetables on a statistical basis.

Yep, can understand the frustration with <60fps, you really need 60 so as to not kill the immersion really. I have to run at 1080p to get the smooth 60fps with my ancient system, but happy to do this until I upgrade.
What I have noticed is the excellent sway physics with this route and the 350 going over points, feels OpenBVE Xcity 323 like if you know what I mean. But again, you really need the smooth performance to experience this fully.
As an aside, this is a great route to learn hudless, you really have to pay attention to not overshoot Penkridge!

Brum to Crewe is the only route so far that has made me stick to the game tbh. I really love it. Lots of High speed action and also slower speed. Lots of Danger, Caution and Preliminary Caution signals. Never a dull service tbh. Lots of traffic. It’s genuinely a really fun route.

If anyone on PC hasn't tried the excellent real weather app (https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/app-tsw-route-annotations.93055/)
I thoroughly recommend it, it really does enhance the experience. Just ran a service today up to Crewe in today's unsettled weather and the results were superb (varying cloud cover, with rain and rare glimpses on sun), you really get to experience the sims weather which you may not have even tried with the sliders yet. TSW can really shine with this app.

    Plenty.
    Just thinking recently…
WCMLoS, BPO, Ludwigsbahn though at less than £10 can’t argue with that. Mittenwald is great. The Class 218 is great. In fact if you run through the collection there’s not much I don’t regret getting. Even the Goblin, Glossop and BCC have their moments as dies Fife Circle and Edinburgh to Glasgow.
