Most of the UKTS file library was uploaded to trainsim.com, try searching there

    Are you sure ?

I have found basic limited downloads are free.
    • A maximum of 500 Mb or 150 files can be downloaded over a 30 day timeframe. Routes do not count against the 500 Mb.
    This is for unpaid membership.
If you are downloading a lot of files it may be worth paying a subscription, but for just a few files you can do it for free.

At trainsim.com you have to register just to see IF they might have something you need.
And it seems to be mainly, if not exclusively US DLC

As far as I am aware "eric from trainsim.com" downloaded most of the UKTS file library and made it available on "Trainsim.com" even including the MSTS files. I even found my uploads when I was making models for MSTS on the Trainsim site.

It would be interesting to know how many files were uploaded to Trainsim.com and how many to Archive.org

They did take over the UKTS collection.

You can get stuff without a subscription but it appears even to browse the file library you need to disable your ad blocker. Not prepared to do that as the place was popping up ads all over the place without it! So I can’t even search for or download my own stuff, both content originally from UKTS and stuff I had placed on there first hand.

I just wish they would relax the restrictions for Steam Workshop a bit (allowing routes etc. with assets only from core or Steam DLC content) so I could curate my old stuff there.

Then you get the problem of routes/scenarios being made where the assets might not be available any more.

You could upload your files to other sites like Train Sim Community

The problem with that list is the assets have been re numbered to RWxxxx
Unless you know the name of the asset you are stuck

That's why at one point I tried to go through my old routes and remove the old third party stuff, but the only one I managed (so far) was the Sulitjelma Line. Sadly as I get older, find I can't focus so clearly on the route building thing any more plus despite being retired I have less time to spend on projects!

So why not upload the routes as they are without removing anything to somewhere other than the Workshop?

Would like to see an expansion of your Bell to Lithgow route, I tried to merge it up to Tumulla Bank with an expansion to Bowenfels I did for myself to Bowenfels and it failed

I was planning to do an expansion Penrith to join to your route Bell to Lithgow, then Bowenfels to Perthville, join onto the Tumulla Bank route which I had done but I uninstalled the game without backing up anything. It's why I created a thread on how to merge routes. Nothing worked out because I really don't know what I'm doing when it comes to route building. I have the entire NSW Southern Main with the Canberra line done but all flat earth because in TSC laying track on terrain is a pain, I just can't figure it out.. Anyway, I decided to give up trying to build routes

It's not quite as simple as that. Before that can happen I need to see if they even work in the latest version of TSC, bearing in mind all are over 10 years old and a couple were even built in Rail Simulator. There's also the possibility some of the assets used didn't make it across to Trainsim dot com and the references to assets from products subsequently withdrawn by DTG. So uploading "as is" likely not to work.

However I won't rule it out and it is on my train simming bucket list to take a look at.
