Tsw 7 - What You Want?

TSW has reached the point it needed to reach.
The bugs will (for the most part) no longer be fixed.
10 years of development inevitably creates "compromises".
If you read the intrinsic meaning of many replies, it's clear that users (even subconsciously, if you want to put it that way) are waiting for a new version with an improved engine and (perhaps) the various bugs fixed, with a "clean" restart of the whole thing.

 

I would say that if new title are launched in UE5 and we have to rebuy all single contents again, i'm done whit entire franchise

 

Adjustable HUD location. upside located HUDs are distracting my concentration on speed limit signs while riding at full speed.
and maybe official engine.ini optimisation? gave up adding and deleting each parameters...

 

which will come first? GTA 6 or the ATSF pack?

 

That day will come one day, but not until at least the next generation of consoles are released.

 

Then you only have to wait for one of the two consoles (the one that will be released later and with the almond-shaped eyes...), because the one that arrives first will be a hybrid (more oriented towards the PC).

 

Honestly, nothing.
I don't want TSW7 to exist.
Let's just rebrand the current version to TSW... or TSW Next or whatever. I'm sick of redownloading everything just to see that not much has changed. At least with TSW 3 or 4 (forgot which one), there was a massive patch for almost every piece of content; now it seems DTG doesn't even bother.

 

On the contrary, I want SPADs to be possible without ending the game. I'm not too bothered about blood and guts, but I want to be able to crash!

 

As far as I'm concerned, this was the LAST year I attempted something like this (i.e., downloading all the add-ons).
Besides using up almost all the data on my plan, I had to buy a SIM card from another carrier to use on another phone (which I keep as a backup, for goodness sake) to complete the job.
I doesn't usually use up much data, and having to look for alternative plans just for TSW really pissed me off.

I hesitate to ask this, but why do you think you enjoy train crashes?

 

Indeed. Not the market DTG or the licensors are aiming to serve.

The only change I feel should be made is that AI SPAD's don't end the player run. If necessary the game simply takes them off the board so they don't interfere with any other movement.

 

Surely they should just let the TPWS work as it is already set up to and brake penalty you if you pass at danger?

 

First of all... I would like to have more countries.
For example Switzerland.
They have very interesting trains!

Passenger, high speed, regional and freight

The scenery will be mostly beautiful.
But also do to mountains there will be climbs, tunnels, etc.

Furthermore, something I would like to have as a type of train, which is being most common, but... it is not yet available on TSW!

Second claim from my side... a new model of tank car!
This is one of the most common freight one, for transporting different types of liquid, so there is a wide diversity of them.
But we only have just one model of tank car.

Several other countries were announced being included on TSW, which is great!

Hopes we have more variety of trains!

 

I'd love to see more SBB too - the Luzern route is the biggest wasted potential in the game. Unfortunately SBB have pulled the plug, but there are other standard gauge operators, notably BLS, who have some great trains.

 

I appreciate I worded this about wanting to crash - and I do indeed want to crash - but the main thing for me is that actions have consequences. It's crazy to just end the simulation at a SPAD.

The *likely* consequence shouldn't be a crash, that should be an "unlucky" SPAD where the driving was so bad the overlap etc was run through and oncoming traffic couldn't be stopped. Most SPADs should end up with some sort of procedure being followed where it's sorted. It may be that not being bothered to simulate that (even in part) is part of the reason it just terminates the game on you. But that I can't overshoot a signal by 10 yards is ridiculous.

- Adjustable Driver Seat (or allow players to adjust camera position), seems ETS2 / SR
- Allow the livery design editor to import image files from the local disk (or allow to read the image file from a specified folder) and remove the image format restrictions to support not only SVG but also enable common formats, like PNG and BMP to be imported into the edito

 

What I want to see is freedom to do what ever you want with out limitations. That means using any train on any route in time table mode with out limitations restrictions. Forget about scenario planner.

 

But do people really want to play a paperwork and interviews simulator where they sit across a table from people and explain stuff?

 

I think for gameplay purposes the outcome of a player SPAD is reasonable. IRL at best you might be allowed to take the train a short distance to clear the line, but only after the situation and circumstances assessed by a Driver Manager. In some cases a fresh driver would be conveyed to the site for relief there.

 

Further improvements to clouds/weather engine.
Big improvements to the humans walking around in game.
East Anglia content.

For the Game and DLC’s that release along side of it to not feature the wrong game build on consoles at release.
Sick and tired of it.

 

I wanna new bugs. It sounds like a stupid joke, but it's not. I'm tired of seeing the same bugs over and over again. Please show some responsibility and fix the old bugs already!
More specifically, I want the current version's bugs to be fixed within its one-year lifespan.

 

And after let's release a game called Train Sim Earth with annual releases.

I want a game that fixes the problems that have plagued this game for years.

 

Forget TSW7. They need to remaster some of the old routes and release enhancement packs for the current locos. How on earth is Train Sim Classic offering better sounds and exhaust dynamics than what we have with TSW. I get they need to liaise with Sony etc, but come on DTG sort it out.

 

I want the core engine to be fixed before 6 ends..
Or rebuilt from the ground up for 7..
Not much else is going to undo how console players are being treated since 6 came out..
Early access was broken for the whole week (no sound, wrong version ect)
Then then 'new core features' that still dont work as designed..
now Last weeks patch to fix "THE FIRST DLC OF A NEW GENERATION" is now (at least) December.. dont worry the broken route is still on sale for the consoles it doesn't work on between now and then though! Gotta make that money!!

Ive gone from being a day 1 supporter(mug) in the tsw5 era.. to being done with DTG until there is major change.. they could release my dream DLC tomorrow.. wont be happening..

So you had a choice here...
-Address anyone of the (very valid) points ive raised.. and leave a constructive comment.. have an adult conversation..

- Whatever this was..

But here are some brief points in return..

-I dont pay full release price to the also be a part time unpaid beta tester.. Therefore have no obligation to report any bugs that should have been caught by the paid employees of DTG
- You dont know im not active in one of the other platforms DTG like to spread their 'help' around
- based on well documented history it would be a pointless exercise anyway.. it would be added to a 'list', loosely acknowledged, ticket closed, and forgotten about..

Remastered and extended old line would be better sometimes that have new line with ghost station

 

Things I would like to see for TSW 7

1. Return of the preservation crew to bring pre TSW3 routes up to modern standards

2. Elimination of micro stutters and continued optimization of the sim

3. All bugs from TSW 2020 to TSW6 ironed out

4. Implementation of the TSW annotations and weather app to feature live/historic weather natively for timetable services specifically

5. The Hudson Line from New York to Croton Harmon or even Poughkeepsie

7. We need to finally get a GE Genesis locomotive in the game. 7 iterations of TSW and still no Genesis locomotive officially created. This is the most requested locomotive among US players. Thankfully one of the modders is in the progress of recreating a nice looking Amtrak Genesis

8. Slightly brighter headlights on trains, but not insanely bright

9. Elimination of blurry textures

10. Revamp of the automated passenger announcements and variety of passenger ambience across rolling stock

 

Less but better quality dlc releases.
Less cloning of trains we already have being sold as dlc.
Proper testing of new routes especially timetables.
More vintage trains and routes.

New loading mechanics for New tasks
New car assets
A uk expert loco
Another network route like lirr2
More to do in depots prepping trains, always liked oak town yard and tasks

 

Agree 100%. Hudson line is one of the most scenic busy routes in the US.Something I bring up on a weekly basis I’ll keep bringing it up

 

I have a dream LIRR route in mind that would include the DM30 and C3
LIRR 3.0. I'll keep pushing this one too.

 

Bug fixes and more optimisation please.

 

-more countries than Germany and UK
-more netherlands routes
-netherlands announcements at the platforms
-More realistic passenger animation, such as when the passenger enters the train, he walks into the compartment and sits down on the seat.
-that you can pull the emergency brake lever in the compartment of the passenger trains
-that you can press the emergency door button to open the door
-when you travel by train a conductor accompanies you
-that the toilet is also accessible in the passenger train, so the door can be opened
-that cars and other traffic do not pass through a closed railway crossing

 

Agree, as long as it includes some CSX freight and Amtrak. And it needs to go further than Croton- Harmon.

 

I like both of those ideas. The livery editor also could use a more user-friendly approach.

But my big suggestion would be automatic updating for DLCs rather than having to manually update them as we do now. For those of us with big collections, it takes a lot of time to do that each new edition of the game. It's time that could be well spent in better ways.

 

Release the free starter pack as an update to tsw 6 that has all the new features 7 would have which changes 6 to 7, so we don’t spend days reinstalling everything, and anyone wanting to buy, buys the new routes for 7.

 

Pick one; you can't have both. Most of TSW's performance problems stem from UE4, and UE5 is even more of a performance hog.

 

I don’t genuinely think they can keep re-releasing this game without truly real and innovative features worthy of giving the game a new numeral. TSW6 was quite frankly a joke in as much as the revolutionary new features could have been added as a free update. It was nothing big at all and doesn’t even seem to apply to much of the TSW6 dlc.
To force us to go through this annoying huge download every year for the sake of very little is just not fair on loyal players. Gone are the days when each new release had a genuine reason to buy it, now it’s nothing but fluff.

QA costs money and time, makes deadlines not being met and might anger some developers working on hourly wages not getting paid the extra hours overtime ...

But apparently disappointed and angry customers are the lesser evil to DTG's management?

 

At least TSW6 brought more to the table than TSW3 did.

TSW3's selling point was dynamic weather, at least TSW6 had more to offer.

 

It did, but only in terms of content not features. The routes ( Morristown, Riviera at least ) were much better than last year. But the new features, TSR and train faults, are a bit of a letdown.

The new routes could have been a " Rush Hour ".
There was no need to put players through the mill of TSW6's launch.

Plus, so far there's been nothing notable released for TSW6. Where are our Christmas presents?
