Something I've noticed on the Diesel legends version of the 101 is the cab is accessible in camera 3, allowing control of the cab of another loco coupled to it. This does not work on other versions of the 101, especially the JT version which does not like being dead hauled. In lieu of a proper autocoach in game, it's quite fun I find to couple the 4F to a single driving trailer with the engine off and 'drive' the 4F from the cab. The controls are reversed of course, including which side to open the doors but the speedometer and brake gauge is still functional. The perfect consist for winter runs up and down the West Somerset!
Ooh I'm going to give this one a go and perhaps add something to my formations mods to get a bit more propelling action. Thanks for the tip. If you like push-pull type operation, and have a bit of imagination, then have a look HERE Not quite the same as your 'hack' but good fun nevertheless and, again shows up West Somerset in a new light.
You're welcome, I made a quick chocolate and cream reskin with the in game editor so it would blend in with the 4F a bit more. One thing I've also noticed is sometimes if you go from the in cab camera (1) back to camera 3, you do get thrown out of the cab! Luckily you can just open the cab door and get back in! The 4-TC skin looks great I shall look to give that a go
