Hey, I manage to (con)vince one of my friends to download TSW6 on the Playstation, but they have playstation plus premium and they get access to TSW 5 anyway. So, the question is can they port over the routes from 5 to 6 if 5 is on a monthly subscription service?
Short answer, no. Longer, Yes if you own them, no if you don't. For example, if you download the core routes from 5 via game pass (or the PS version) then they will not go to 6, as you do not technically own them, but if you have paid money for them, then they do transfer. *paying money for them does not mean the money you pay for the sub, it means purchasing them via the relevant store as a single transaction.
I thought they might port over, so long as you are subscribed, but lose them once you unsubscribe. Thank you!
So if your friend is only playing it on PlayStation plus and hasn’t actually purchased the sim itself then no they don’t own the routes etc so they won’t port over. If your friend was to purchase TSW 5 and then 6 etc content ports over because you own it. By playing on the subscription service you are basically “renting” the sim you don’t own it so when they remove it the rental has finished so it will disappear.
