Don't mean to sound rude but did that hot fix actually fix anything. Because i still got really bad blurriness, almost all jobs still have no arrival times, still crashing at Crewe and the update completely erased all my journey progress and timetable progress.
Nope. One of the worst post-release patches I’ve ever had the misfortune of installing. We’ve sunk to new lows for consoles and no word from anyone about plans for future patches (unless I’ve missed something?)
Any ideas where the Class 66s are in 4M95 & 4M38, are you expected to wait at the given station for it to arrive or walk to them on track. Weird been put on different stations when selected this jobs.
In SEHS you could fast travel to the station the 66 started at via the map and it would still register for the journey log despite the pop up saying it wouldn't. Maybe try the same here?
Reproduceable crash: 1G00 5AM TfW 150 Crewe - Birmingham - Crashes always at the same spot approaching BHM right at the end of the run always in the same place near the start of the platform. Unhandled Exception: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION reading address 0x0000000000000000
Signal SC3643 was showing a red aspect, the signal behind that was showing a single yellow (SC3639) but the signal behind that was showing a green (SC3637), rather than double yellow. Resulted in quite the panic braking.
Just an update for everyone: I'm checking what was logged while I was doing some reporting for Friday and Monday, but you know I appreciate you for all the reports. I'll post where I stopped as usual. The new roadmap for November will be released on Thursday; it will be a stream and then a full post here and in Discord. This may or may not discuss updates, but I do know another update was slated for sometime next week. If that's changed, I'll let you know, or another team member will! I will explain that the priority for any fixes will be the main issues that affect the game: Timetables Blurriness Contingency Scenario that doesn't allow completion Memory leaks/errors Optimization leading to less resource usage Anything not listed is just fixes the devs were able to get to, one could say a bit of a gravy train, but I don't have a list for any other routes aside from B2C currently.
--Alright folks, just finished logging new bugs that were reported over the weekend! Anything below this comment is new.--
Passenger door stuck.... yeah I couldn't get out of the seat to fix it. https://medal.tv/games/train-sim-world-6/clips/lrxM4bNrcKvn6P46D?invite=cr-MSxqT24sMTAyNzQwNTc5&v=90
not sure whether this belongs to this thread or faults feedback... sometimes I get a panto fault on 350s... the tooltip says sth like bring train to a stop, then put the pantograph down and back up... and once I didnt stop the train, just put the panto down and then back up - I got traction back, so I was able to accelerate, just the panto switch wasnt lit up so, I know the panto switch is supposed to be lit up... then how come I was able to accelerate even if it wasnt... just some oversight like the game didnt expect me to do sth differently? or sth that was just left there cos no one would notice?
Oh I think I had already gotten to that one before I posted the note, let me check! -Answer is no, if it's the 9M53 has the End wrong way round issue? If it's something else, please post it!
I can say that sometimes, players can somehow make a game break even if we think everything is just right, so possibly you found the one thing that wasn't accounted for. However, I know the 350 has a lot of updates it needs on the route, and that's on the list.
yeah, I somehow have the knack for finding obscure situations most players will never get into (or I am just "lucky" to get into them and noticing ), like the bug on 411 that caused traction lock when AFB would brake under LZB - that one got fixed anyway, thats what the forum is for ... to provide feedback so it gets fixed someday... and if it is serious enough, there is the support channel, of course almost 3430 hrs and still counting in this freakin game ... despite its flaws, still mighty enjoyable
candacedtg I have reported it I believe but can't remember but 390s at Crewe are stopping at the Incorrect car marker going towards Stafford way. They are stopping at 8 car marker instead of the 9/11 Car marker this is for On foot and timetable mode as well. System is Playstation 5. Hope this gets fixed too Thanks a lot for you're communication.
Tho just got back to a video I have from videoing a Train leaving Crewe. It seems to be in same position as it is now so unless the 9/11 Car Marker is in the wrong position at Crewe? Kezz Sorry to @ you but you may be able to help but is the 8 car Marker and 9/11 car marker at Crewe in the wrong place for specifically Platform 5?
candacedtg Gonna post 2 photos on the Discord and will @ you. Showing what I got at Crewe. Sorry file size is too big apparent
I asked someone who drives 390s and this is where it should be 'Just as the roof ends I know this cos you get your hair wet if you stick yer head out' So that is where around the 9/11 car marker should be not at the end of the platform.
Do you think we'll see licensing for East Midlands Railway Class 170s as opposed to Class 158s? Plus would be layered in to other routes, ie Midland Mainline, for the network. As assume the Lincoln (Newark Castle) services in this route are swapped or downgraded to Class 158s. Plus not really right context but would a Class 730, or Class 172 ever be made for West Midlands albeit it both would be classed as new routes but rather layer if anything. Doesn't Northern have anything else but Class 323s these days.
Having an EMR 170 would likely depend on Rivet (and licensing). Although if it did it would likely be in the form of some sort of timetable pack for MML like their packs for BCC and ECW. Whether it would then sub for the EMT 158 on other routes though is a different question, and whether timetables are set early enough for EMR to begin with. (Yes I'm aware MML is a Skyhook route, but let's not forget Skyhook have done timetables for Rivet routes)
I drive this route most days IRL. Few things that stick out... 1) Shunt moves round Stafford and Crewe are done on position lights, but it's all MA in the sim. This is at odds with the Euston - MK route, which (very) accurately represents indications for shunt moves, with the correct route indications etc. 2) There are multiple 'invisible walls' when walking. I.e. you can't walk to the North end of P6 at Crewe - the invisible wall is around the intermediate signal. 3) This is probably the worst one... No Mill Meece pumping station! This is the most prominent feature between Stafford and Crewe, and used by drivers in real life as a reference for various things, most notably as a visual cue that the speed restriction at Norton Bridge is approaching. Otherwise, a very accurate route that feels like the real thing.
Hey everyone! I'm popping in with an update from Kezz on the door faults issue. "Intended behaviour is as followed: Open doors at station, once load instruction completes a 2nd instruction immediately appears which last 5 seconds which then will state at the end of the 5 seconds to lock doors, locking doors before this will mean you end up with it asking you to re-open the doors. This was done intentional to stop doors being closed on a red signal which players didn't like in other DLCs. At Birmingham you also shouldn't depart until the RA comes on. Hopefully, this clears up any confusion." He's head down writing code right now, so please don't ping or tag him.
Thank you for this! 1) that's good info to know. -Edit: As of right now, it probably won't receive an update as of yet, but they may come back and revisit it. 2) I know the invisible walls is something that should be fixed in the next patch, but I'm waiting on information on the state of it right now. -Edit, at this particular station, it is intentional. I asked the dev but other stations DID get an update to remove them. 3) I'll ask about the pumping station. I'm curious why it would be missing, but it might just be a rights issue.- Edit: This is something that would have to be updated in a much later patch, like #1. Edits made after consulting with the Dev team.
I'm hoping in the next couple of days, but I don't have a date yet. I know the teams are putting the final touches on patches and submitting them, but it's really waiting on the final approvals with the individual stores right now, and the DTG team to be fully back in the office to address any major concerns.
Thanks for the info, appreciate the heads up - hopefully it the approvals don't take too long... and the patch fixes some of the major issues/bugs.
Last week's patch becoming next week's patch. To be fair, they do have some more DLC to flog first. Maybe it will be today though, you never know.
Why weren't the DTG employees there? Did they take some time off to figure out what new lies to feed the people?
That was quick! These things take time, I just felt them worth mentioning. Especially Mill Meece... I think one of the things that really 'makes' a scenario is the ability to say, "Wow, there's xyz..." And on a section of route as relatively bland as Crewe - Stafford, Mill Meece is a very prominent feature, almost up there with the likes of Wembley arch. Also, speed onto the Stour out of New Street North End is 10 - 40 - 65, not 10 - 15 - 50 - 65!
I think Mill Meece is there, just not a great model, and no chimney which I presume would be the prominent feature.
Couple of minor bits of feedback... The 60mph crossovers south of Crewe just outside the station feel a bit tight for that speed. Approach control from the fast to platform 1 at Stafford from the north isn't correct I feel - go's from double yellow to single yellow with feather, should be more restrictive - double yellow, single yellow, release from red (110mph to a 40mph)
I do not claim to understand the approval process from store fronts.. i get its complicated... But how can it be both working on the final touches... but also its with the stores getting final approval? Surely its one or the other no? Again apologies if this is a stupid question.. but it dont seem right to me... the cake is simultaneously cooking.. and being checked by store fronts?
I think we all understand a good bit of marketing speak when we hear it. Which is fine, it's part of the job at the end of the day. Personally I would rather just hear 'honestly don't know right now' though.
This is actually a MAY-FA.4 (flashing yellow) sequence in real life. Up Fast to P1 and Down Fast to P3 can both show a flashing yellow sequence into Stafford. Edited to add - IRL, it's common practice for drivers of EPS capable trains to simply maintain 115 after Norton Bridge, because if you get a steady yellow sequence (white banner), it's a huge TPWS risk approaching the red with the junction indicator.
