Hi everyone, here is a suggestion:
    Toulouse - Narbonne (TER Occitanie)

    Length: ~118 km (≈73 miles)
    Max speed: 160 km/h (≈100 mph)
    Operator: TER Occitanie (SNCF)
    Time period: Modern (2020s)

    Stops:

    Toulouse-Matabiau
    Montaudran
    Labège-Innopole
    Escalquens
    Baziège
    Villefranche-de-Lauragais
    Avignonet-Lauragais
    Castelnaudary
    Bram
    Carcassonne
    Trèbes
    Lézignan-Corbières
    Narbonne

Why it would be fun to play?

This route connects Toulouse, a busy urban hub, to Narbonne, a historic junction by the Mediterranean. It offers a perfect mix of regional and intercity gameplay — short commuter hops, medium runs, and some express services.
Drivers would experience a great mix of landscapes: the suburban area of Toulouse, the rural plains of Lauragais, the medieval town of Carcassonne with its famous fortress visible from the train, the vineyards of the Corbières, and finally the coastal approach into Narbonne.

The route’s diversity makes it engaging — frequent stops for TERs, longer runs for Intercités, and occasional freight workings for variety. Its 118 km (≈73 miles) length offers journeys from 35-50 minutes (semi-direct) to 1h10-1h20 (all stops), ideal for TSW pacing.

    Key characteristics and gameplay:

    • Electrified double track (25 kV) with classic French signalling (BAL/KVB).
    • Mix of services: local TER, Intercités, and limited freight.
    • Unique driving atmosphere: from city departure to open countryside and Mediterranean approach.
    Landmarks visible along the route:

    • Canal du Midi near Toulouse and Castelnaudary
    • Medieval Cité de Carcassonne visible before and after the station
    • Rolling vineyards of the Corbières region
    • Narbonne’s large railway yard and station complex at the end of the line
    Main train included:

    Z 55500 “Regio 2N” (TER Lio livery)

Main rolling stock used today between Toulouse and Narbonne.

    Dual-voltage EMU capable of 160 km/h (≈100 mph).

Modern cab, dynamic acceleration, and versatile gameplay: all-stops, limited-stops, and AI Intercités passing by.

    Potential Add-on 1:

    BB 7200 + Corail coaches (Intercités Toulouse–Narbonne)

    Classic French locomotive-hauled experience.

Adds more variety with semi-fast and express services.

Fits the same era and infrastructure perfectly.

    Potential Add-on 2:

    BB 75000 (freight pack)

Adds optional freight services using existing sidings and depots near Toulouse and Narbonne.

Complements the passenger focus without altering the main identity of the route.

    Conclusion:

Toulouse–Narbonne represents an ideal mid-length French route for Train Sim World: diverse scenery, iconic landmarks, realistic modern rolling stock, and great service density.
It’s distinct from the existing French DLC (LGV Méditerranée) by offering a southern Occitanie atmosphere — sunny, historic, and busy — with a perfect balance between scenic beauty and engaging gameplay.

Well, that's it for my third detailed suggestion. Thank you for reading it :)

What a beautiful route! Keep it up! Perhaps you could also delve into Dutch and Spanish routes. You can research what you're not familiar with and learn more about them and the railway company. Just like when you give a presentation at school, you post your suggestions here. But if you could, I'd give you a double like—in other words, I've liked this thread.

Thank you very much, that's very kind of you. And yes, I'm currently researching about Spanish, Italian, Belgian and Dutch railway networks to learn more about these countries, which I love for their trains and routes just like France.
I would also like to suggest routes in countries such as Morocco, Turkey, China, South Korea, Scandinavia, etc.
