How well does crewe to Birmingham run on series x now. Is it still full of bugs or have recent patches fixed it
Still waiting on the patch that was due last week.. Its worth waiting still IMO unless you want to run it with reduced layers on HD mode and still get blurry textures
Guess I'll wait another week then. Just kinda wanna get it before 805 is released so im not spending £50 at once on a dlc
It is highly, highly, highly unlikely to ever run well on Series X. Unless you pare back the layers and just run the bare bones and then maybe you will get some better performance.
I really do hope AAS the developers have not just ditched this route and left it for the time being and switched focus to the 805 now to get that out and make more money. I truly hope this isn’t the case as if it is then they can forget about ever getting a sale from me again and I am sure many others will do the sim and won’t spend their hard earned money on content from them again. They have a fantastic route here that needs issues fixed and console players whom are a large percentage of the player base can’t enjoy the route fully which is a shame.
The patch that was due last week and DTG definitely confirmed weeks ago that it was due last week probably won't be out now until next week at least. Until then the textures are incredibly blurry.
Looks like I won't be buying this route till next week then, assuming it includes the timetable fixes
I'd hold off for longer than a week. Not played it in over a week due to the core issues. I've put off paying for any more DLC now, it's just immersion killing when even the platform yellow line is blurry. The route is very good, it's just the core issue that's killing it for me, so not a AAS issue.
Yeah me too. There are a couple of bits of old stuff that I really want to add, but I feel that complaining a lot and then chucking them some cash anyway, makes me a big part of the reason why things are the way they are and so I am trying to refrain for a bit. Sure it probably makes no difference and I will be spending again at some point no doubt, but the only real power we have here is the wallet and the pen, so I try and use them when I am a bit miffed about things.
Does anyone think we will get the update today or tomorrow. I'm waiting to buy this route just need to get this updated on pc
Sadly true and I’m as guilty of that as anyone. There is maybe a slight case where third parties are concerned for relaxing a no buy stance, but even then as a partner they should be piling the pressure on DTG to sort the core tech debt. Rather than seeing the £££€€€$$$ signs and meekly turning up for the stream even knowing their product lacks final polish and is bumping straight into issues the game has.
Even if the patches are released I feel like you still need to sit and wait for the feedback due to the way the patches seem to be breaking even more stuff recently.
Not sure how we’ve gone from “update this week” to “it might be in December”. I’m not one to start clutching pearls on the forums, but that’s pretty shocking.
Maybe they have discovered new issues or carrying out extra fixes. I was going to buy the route next week but will wait.
Mildmay line is still blurry for me on Series X so wouldn’t hold your breath that the new patch will fix it.

Surprise surprise delayed update to the route. This just goes to show this route was NEVER in a state to be released when it had and DTG where only interested in getting it shoved out for release to bring money in absolutely shocking. The whole rumour about the ambassadors being told not to show it off on console on previews to the preview stream by DTG showing it with fog is even more proof this was not anywhere near ready to be released for sale. Sad thing is people will be well passed the refund windows now to ge this refunded as this is what people need to start doing now with bugged releases and not give hard earned cash for broken content with broken promises of fixes.
It's really poor tbh....and i took it as "there might be news in December". Whatever ya'll lol Personally, i don't think the blurry textures are fixable on console, and that they know this and are trying to keep the sales train from going completely off the tracks (haha) by dangling "we're optimizing, testing new fixes, blah blah blah", until they're ready to reveal their new UE5 sim in a few months or a year or whatever it ends up being. I really like the route, and it runs ok for me on PC but the console version is a mess by all accounts. I think DTG should offer no-questions refunds on this one. I feel terrible for AABS because this is all down to the rotten code at the heart of TSW- in a just world DTG would eat 100% of the refund cost imo. /rant
I think both parties have to take some responsibility. AABS were fully aware that the game was being released on console as well as PC and should have been aware of what that meant.
Thankfully i refunded i agree though its disgraceful releasing the route in that state we saw it with WCML London to Milton Keynes its not acceptable
Translation..... We would rather spend our time and resources working on another new bit of DLC we can flog you (which might be equally as broken on release), rather than worry about fixing existing content that we rushed out in a disastrous state. But telling people, there might be a patch in December if they are lucky, will keep them happy for now. And no, or course we don't take our customers for mugs, not at all, not in the slightest.
Respectfully disagree. DTG are the publisher they are ultimately responsible for signing off on everything that releases for TSW. They either never tested on console even once before release, or did and said, "this is ok to sell to the paying customer anyway". Neither option is acceptable imo. Not to mention the Class 350 has been busted since day1 on on WCMLS, and i think is where this particular memory issue originates- that surely is on DTG?
But not the LOVEey sounds, both the poor quality/looping and the awful balance vs. exterior sounds. Not so much low hanging fruit, as fruit a toddler could pick. Well, ETS2 Nordic Horizons now has a release date (27th Nov) so fair to say where my next Steam Wallet funds will be disbursed (hint, nothing for TSW). Back to Bham-Crewe, they could at least have pushed the timetable fixes adding the arrival times, or is it still all in pieces?
I am so hyped to play Nordic Horizons over the 4-day weekend here in the US. Best Thanksgiving ever! SCS are a fantastic dev (not 100% perfect nobody is) and I can't wait for the Xbox release of ATS/ETS2 so i can double-dip and support them more. And yes the timetable fixes seem like they would have been easy to do since they were pushing an update anyway but idk anymore lol
I haven’t purchased it yet, I am usually there on day 1 with UK routes and especially one like this, but I just have to stop doing it if this blurry textures aren’t sorted on Xbox. When it’s sorted they can have my cash.
It's such a shame to see what should be an amazing piece of content ruined by core issues and drawn out patches. With the content and the patches breaking more stuff TSW6 really needs something to hit the ground running. I hope it's the JT route at some stage but with all of this I'm worried that even that might get hit by all of these core issues.
