You can run the service, but when you get to the end, the "Door Bug" prevents you from completing it.

Has been a while since I completed it though, so maybe something changed and made it worse?

 

Are you playing on Xbox? For me the service technically works, as in you can do the run, but when you get to the end it says "lock doors" indefinitely even after you've locked them.

 

I find that sometimes you have to wait a good fives minutes for the job to end especially if you are running early.

 

Wow, thats crazy. Definitely should not be that way. At the very least it should acknowledge that the doors are actually closed, and the timer should show how long you have to wait.

I appreciate the reply, and you're probably right since before I got to the station it showed about 4 minutes left. Thing is once you stop the time just shows blank, since it's the last stop. Most services would acknowledge the doors being locked and then end.

I have to say these little bugs, or inconsistencies are really discouraging.

 

Tried it again. You were right Dal, it did complete about 5 minutes after the final stop. it still asks you to lock doors even after you've closed them. (Door bug I guess).

Yeah, arrive before the specified arrival time and it makes you wait.

I find when I'm driving a Preston-bound service I often arrive at Preston early (in the Class 87 anyway, dont drive the other stock that often) and it'll make me wait. Although usually I'm allowed to lock the doors.

 

Even when you complete a service, got the rewards and not go back to the menu but enter free roam instead, the hud is still talking about closing doors. The issue of waiting until the end time of a service, is already an old one. I have seen it on S-bahn Zentralschweiz and on Koln - Aachen, on the latter one, it was always at Aachen HBF.
