That's what I was wondering, how does one find out if the EOT fell off the rear, during a run?

Does the provided EOTD at least has the turbine whine? A high pitched sound that makes you feel you're at the dentist's for a root canal job ....
Run8 has it, RailRoader has it, but does TSW?

No savy with locos on this but why does the SD40 lose power randomly then comes back on.

It could be when the locomotive is making transition from series to parallel of the traction motors. At around 24-25 MpH you should see an amperage drop and hear the switch gear making the transition, at least on Run8 and RailRoader.
So you should avoid cruising at transition speed.

This isn't the first SD40-2 model in TSW, and I doubt DTM did a whole new scripting on this repaint.

ATSF Grain Extra service from Barstow to Victorville, and then Summit and San Bernardino. I was stopped by a red light when I arrived in Victorville, the ATSF Helper Drop off service was stuck in Victorville ..... I found out that starting at 7:25, when the service starts, results in a wrong switch in Victorville and blocks the completion of the ATSF Helper Drop off service ....... but the most important thing is that I have around 25-30 FPS the whole ride .... that has never happened to me on this map, and the service with Dash 8 does not have such bad numbers either, I have around 50-60 FPS there ........ where could the problem be?

Am I correct in understanding that the HOTD doesn't work on the Dash 8, and it's not available at all on the SD 40?

In case of starting the Grain train service, the FPS drops by 50%, for example from 60 to 30 ...... I tried different trains and so far I have discovered a problem with Grain cars

Just posting an update on the communication side:
    • Waiting on confirmation, but I did bring up the option of my acting as liaison between the community and the dev team.
      • Basically, it's easier for me to review and ask about issues all at once and wait for a response than for a dev to reply to the threads individually.
      • This should help streamline communication and make it easier to address issues.
    • I did start doing this with the B2C line, and it saved a lot of time and resources for the AABS team.
    • I make no promises, but I'm trying to help as best I can on my end.

We really hope they push out a update on this stuff. We buy it and then its wrong. TSW would do great on the US Side but the DLC Stuff has to be right and not just a reskin.

After watching the videos of ambassadors and reading the feedback posted here, i'm not getting the pack , at least for now , and i will also wait for a big discount. same bad engine sounds, no train faults, no suspension physics on the SD40-2 , and inaccuracies inside the cabs are simply too much to handle

If I had it to do again, I would wait for it to go on sale with a price no more than $5.

that is not some setting (not blur animation) since it only happens with this DLC
when the wheels are not in motion they look kind of lower texture
then the wagon wheels on the modern time table of cajon pass on that the animated wheels are totally fine

PC Steam. I'm no expert, of course, but the SD 40-2 doesn't have a HOTD instrument in the cab. How to control an 88-car train without information about the pressure at the rear of the train is beyond me. This isn't Clinchfield, where is a brake van at the tail. This is simply unacceptable. Plus, there's no engine sound from the locomotives at the end of the train. However, the smoke reacts to increased RPM, and the ammeter reading changes. Definitely a refund.
I can still forgive the graphical bugs in the models, but the non-functioning hot air duct on the Dash 8, which is exactly the same in the cockpit as the CSX version that came out many years ago, and the completely absent hot air duct in the SD40... I don't think this device wasn't available back then, and considering the EODT is at the tail end of the train, were you seriously doing this for a year and a half?

As far as just the accuracy of just the Dash 8 cab interior goes, here is a list of just accuracy-related details that I have noted:

    - The air flow gauge and analog speedometer on the engineer's control stand should be replaced with a digital speedometer
    - There should be a Quantum alerter blinker box above the ammeter
    - ATSF Dash 8's did not have a power reduction control panel on the engineers control stand
    - The fuel gauge in the center of the cab is incorrect and should be removed
    - The HOTD is on the engineer's control stand rather than on the overhead console
    - The weird black box thing in the top center of the cab should not be there, IRL it is flat, and is where the unit number and type decal is
    - The analog speedometer on the conductor's side should be replaced with a digital speedometer
    - The secondmans seat in the center of the cab should be moved to behind the conductor's chair
    - The interior cab roof should be angled to match the external gull wing cab roof

I also have quite a lot of photo reference to back this up. I own a 2 hour DVD of cab ride footage in an ATSF Dash 8 over Tehachapi Pass, which includes a lot of firsthand video reference of how the cab interior should look.
