    Well, since you couldn't be bothered to read the whole thread, allow me to summarise.
    The list of issues covered so far are a mix of route and core issues, including, but not limited to:

    • Non-prototypical performance and behaviours of certain locos
    • Train faults persisting when turned off/unrealistic faults which are one in a million IRL (Core issue but impacts TSW6 core routes)
    • The radioactive lighting inside NJT stock
    • AI trains operating passenger runs with all their doors open the whole way
    • Stock moves in the yards full of passengers (Core issue)
    • Services with off-path messages from start to finish
    • Permanent red signals on some services
    • Green signals when trains are stopped on the line ahead of you in the block
    • Coupling being misaligned
    • Missing rain on windscreens
    • Missing textures and clipping assets
    • Unclimbable platforms
    • One scenario that sends an electric Arrow III down an unelectrified track
    • Overspeed bug
    • Traffic on one road driving on the left
    • Copy-pasted loco tutorials with incorrect info
    And a bunch more I cannot recall off the top of my head.

    Lol you're correct, I tend to skim through but overall, I don't usually read each post. Some of these I've noticed too, the non-revenue moves full of passengers being my biggest grip.

    I will say that with the long list of flaws it is still BY FAR my favorite TSW route. If you wait for them to fix the bugs you may never get to play it.

    I agree.I might have been lucky with the runs i did, and getting used to the standard DTG bugs, but this route is one of my favorites.

    I have often found the reviews of others helpful, and so I try to do my own reviews when I can.

    Platform: Series X, finished both journeys
    Layers: ALP45, Amtrak/Acela

    We can start off by saying that an excellent job has been done with the wayside signals, and that the safety systems are very good as well. This is very important but never a given for US routes. The trains present nicely. The ALP46 and multilevels are much improved over NYT. Although the braking system does require some getting used to, this also presents a satisfying challenge. The Arrow is unique and also doesn't have the lapped brakes for something a little easier. The ALP45 is necessary for the services it adds, and gives more variety for driving. The transition between diesel and electric looks and sounds pretty good.

    The overall environment has been nicely done, with some exceptions. The stations have appropriate signage and look reasonably close to their real counterparts. The bridge plate and system map collectibles add a nice touch. The NYC skyline is certainly the best in TSW so far, and the Pulaski Skyway was a good inclusion. The timetable is appropriately busy, especially with the Amtrak layers, although I wouldn't strictly say they are necessary. Driving into NY Penn is now a joy with the correct signals in place, speeding through the tunnel exactly as it should be without the long slog of NYT. In fact, I would say that in many ways this route is what the players wanted NYT to be, and has the unfortunate effect of making that route look even worse (but being able to drive the Morristown units on NYT with announcements is appreciated).

    This is a TSW route and there are bugs, and there will always be bugs. For me the most egregious error is passengers not being able to use the multilevel low platform doors, since most of the platforms are low levels. Another Morristown-specific bug is the improper function of the Arrow alerter. Plus the usual stuck trains, poor frame rates, broken faults, etc. I have seen much buggier routes than this in TSW.

    The big area for improvement, although almost certainly nothing will be done, is the environment. You will see very little clutter or graffiti which is certainly far from realistic. If freight services couldn't be included then fine, but why no static freight stock? This adds a lot to other routes like HAR and BPE even if not strictly realistic. Also, why no static stock that is already in the DLC like trains at Hudson and Meadows? Even NYT managed to have static stock here. Finally, the vehicle or roadway traffic is in a sorry state, from running on the wrong side of the road to being completely absent or, at best, far less than we would expect for this area. This is the most noticeable around East Orange where there is literally nothing.

    But overall the route is a good representation of US commuter and a must buy if that interests you. The transition from urban to suburban/rural has the right feel for anyone who is familiar with the area. If you are not then this route may not hold as much appeal. Hopefully Stamford will be produced at least to this level. Perhaps DTG can even go back now and bring NYT to this standard? If not at least we got Morristown.

    It IS a delightfuul route. But it does have FAR more bugs than one would like.

    As soon as I start the service I get a random derailment. Happens every time I restart too.

    Ps5. Same. Insta derailment with alp45. No derailment with alp 46. This implies that the train placement point is off since alp45 is longer and probably back of the train spawns past the tracks or something like that.

    That is correct, all diesels are limited to 60 mph.

    interesting, since the HUD doesnt reflect it - still showing 75, also the display unit shows 75 as limit

    I noticed as well this is the case with NJT Deadhead XB04 from Hoboken Yard to Hoboken. The Arrow IIIs are stored on a non-electrified track (Track 9L) and so only AI can move the set.

    I forgot to mention the loco unit, but yeah it was the alp45 in fact. I never tested any others.

    Sorry to bother you again, but am I really the only one who gets stuck in the cab ceiling when trying to get out of the seat in the ALP-46? The game doesn't spawn me next to the seat, it spawns me standing on the seat.
    PC/Steam. I don't have any mods related to this route/loco.

    Try looking towards the side you want to spawn and then get up (as opposed to just looking forward and getting up) That usually works.

    Its one of my main frustrations with DTG and the lack of ai + static stock they can use from other DLCs that are relevant to the line, especially freight.. We know why and its because they need to limit memory for consoles, But it does make it frustrating and kills some of the immersion that can be further enhanced..

    6656. Dover. The signal is open and allows you to proceed onto an occupied track where an oncoming train is stopped. The result is a dead end for both trains.

    also, ehm, am I doing sth wrong or the dynamic braking doesnt work in the cab car for some reason? I have even tried putting full brake power on the combined controller and then checking the loco with camera 3, and no tractive effort when engaging dynamic braking... does it have anything to do with the EP assist switch? what is that one even for?

    Yeah the dynamic brakes do not in fact work in the cab car. It has the notches but they do nothing with that loco.

    so in the cab car you dont really have access to dynamic braking? I dont remember this from NY Trenton, but then, didnt drive the cab car there very much, so I dont really remember

    so it wont work both for ALP45 and ALP46 in the back? thats weird... also, is this somehow connected to my previous post, that it doesnt show voltage on the loco, even tho panto is up, but in the loco if you zoom in it shows?

    If I had to hazard a guess, there's some kind of connection somewhere that's nonfunctional on the actual IRL units, but I'm no expert on those.

    also, I just noticed, just out curiosity when checking this on NYT, and trying both the older version and Morristown version, I noticed that on the NYT version once you turn on safety systems, the PCS light goes red - and I am confused as to why and if it means anything... like, the PCS is functional or that PCS is open (and thus it's a bug)?

    anyway, this dynamic braking thing is just weird :D

    I've seen MTA rolling stock(GP40FH-2 and Comet's) on this route in some videos. Are they just renting it?

    checking the preview stream and yeah this dynamic brake thing got mentioned there... but what I dont understand is why the overhead display doesnt show stuff properly

    edit: checking the preview stream and such and there is mention of neutral sections, and that they show it in the stream, but cant find where exactly... dont they mean the phase gap?

    NJT and Metro North's west-of-Hudson lines share an equipment pool. Although I believe some effort is made to keep the MTA stock on the NY routes, mixing does occur.

    I saw this on reddit and wanted to mention that 3 of these liveries are on creators club.

    I tried them, they look fantastic, but I noticed that the performance suffered on my PS5 so I unsubscribed. Plus, I didn't know at the time there is a setting that disables these liveries on AI trains. When I tried, literally 20 trains in Hoboken spawned with these liveries.
    Has anyone subscribed to them and how was the performance on your system?

    You said you optimized Hoboken. Um... I just saw a magnificent 14 FPS approaching the station.
    All the siddings were occupied. Well, almost all of them. Around 10 AM. In the same situation before the patch I did not see enything lower than 24 FPS.

    Also. Just visual. Wiper handle on Arrow clipping through the sun visor.

    When in the bi level cabcars can you still not operate the lcd screen above you cause its so bright at night and whatever button I press nothing happens.

    Yeah, whatever they did to Hoboken doesn't fit any definition of "optimisation" I know of. Pre-patch I'd get dips as low as 45 at worst there, so it definitely needed work, but post-patch it doesn't get above 30.

    Just wondering, is the issue perhaps the result of the thousands upon thousands of passengers sitting in all the out of service trains in the sidings?

    It definitely causes by rolling stock. When the siddings and the station are almost empty, the frame rate is high, no complaints. But when the time comes to all the siddings to be filled with trains for the day's layover, the frame rate simply falls into abyss.
    I also noticed that passing trains with Multilevels have been causing a significant FPS drop. While it used to be around minus 4-5 frames per second before the patch, today in Secaucus I saw -15 FPS from a passing train(Multilevels + 45DP) after the patch. Then came the Acela, and she dropped the FPS by only 3 frames.
    Clarification: Trains with ALP-46 reduce FPS as before, but trains with ALP-45DP reduce it much more than before the patch.

    Looks like today's update has broken the Arrow 3. Have had an emergency brake application and the warning siren is still sounding after recovering from the emergency application and carrying on the service. On Xbox series X

    I agree completely. Same experience. On ps5 with full yard at hoboken I got about 15fps. After I deleted all the trains, I got close to 40fps. And I don’t even think it’s the arrows- the problems are the multilevels and/or the ALPs. Btw, same experience at NY Penn.

    side note, thanks DTG for mapping the Arrow’s buzzer on the keyboard.

    i see the maple wood station stairs hallway wall hasn't been fix as well as the glowing utility rack at pen station. i hope it being look in to for future patch.

    You said you optimized the scenery along various sections of the route. You forgot something, namely the very spot where the FPS significantly drops - the section between Morris Plains and Mount Tabor.

    I'm fed up, honestly. Everything is done poorly, just to get it done quickly. For every bug fixed, 1-10 new ones are added. Can you even fix anything without breaking something in the process? You see that you broke something, so roll back the changes, analyze the problem, and release it later when you've solved it.

    With the 45 or 46 is there any fast or semi fast jobs on this route like there is on new york to trenton.

    By "fast" you mean less stops or duration?
    Search for Summit and Gladstone services. They can have a minimum of stops and a little over 35 mins.
    I don't remember the service, but yesterday I perform NY - Gladstone with stops only at South Orange and Summit.
