Today I would like to share out my proposals on what I feel a LIRR 3 should or could possibly look like if we ever were to see one in the future! Currently at this time we only have 2 full lines that being the Hempstead Branch, and the Long Beach Branch. (1/3) For my first proposal I would like to introduce a new terminal for trains Grand Central, I propose this new terminal because we only have trains to Penn Station or Atlantic Terminal Brooklyn. This new terminal gives a whole new feel to things and a little more scenery! it gives more options aswell instead of terminating trains at Penn or Atlantic Terminal BK you get to send trains to Grand Central! (2/3) For my second proposal I would like for Dovetail to introduce the Port Washington Line, This line doesn't interline as much with other lines only in-between Woodside and Penn Station/Grand Central. They could also introduce the new Grand Central Terminal with this so trains from the Port Washington Line could terminate at Grand Central, and Penn Station. (3/3) For my third and FINALE proposal I would LOVE to see a expansion of the Huntington line currently we only got the line up until Hicksville but I feel it should've been extended up until Huntington as its only a few more stops! or we could possibly get the Port Jefferson Branch aswell if that's the case we can also introduce the DM/DEAC30's locomotives and C3 cars into the game with to Penn station! only downside with the Diesel Motors and C3 cars is they are unable to fit into the tunnels for Grand Central so if they were added it would only be for services to Penn not Grand Central and I don't just mean for the Port Jefferson Line I could go on forever with proposals and stuff but these are my favorite 3!
You saying "Yeah, this won't happen." is pointless, don't know what your goal was here but your response was not needed its my proposal/Opinion on what a LIRR 3 could look like if we ever were to see one and not every proposal/suggestion is bound to be added to the game.
LIRR not exactly popular with many customers due to the mandatory requirement for safety systems and reduced cab functionality. I barely touch LIRR 2.0. Chances are the railway operators not that keen to see their presence in the sim expanded either.
