No idea. The Pacer makes sense as there is no other route realistic for it. The 150 & 153 on the other hand don’t have a reason not to sub, so I presume it’s another silly technical issue.

It's pretty much an entire new model, the outside will have a couple of modernised tweaks but the interior has all of those new seats, the GSMR and TPWS in the cab etc... Don't forget the "new" doors too. The sounds "in theory" could be reused from the later BPO Pacer though.

I think the main gripe most folks, myself included is that it's for CCN which has turned out to be an absolute disappointment, this DLC will add new life to it but it's not going to provide a miracle and suddenly turn CCN into an awesome route that players just can't stay away from. On that subject though, this new timteable, doesn't it run more end to end diagrams as it's set in a different era? Obviously stuff like Barry Island are missing but I thought back then that was just a shuttle anyway rather than part of a larger run?

For me the main draw with this is the opportunity to see it reskinned into Northern livery for the MIA route, sadly since the interior has been redone and made "too modern" it won't really work for reskins into Merseyrail, GMPTE grey, Reggie Rail etc...

I enjoy the Cardiff route. Yes I'd like it to be longer but it still feels like a busy little network with many self contained services. It's great for when you don't want a long run.

This pack is hardly expensive and adds a complete new timetable with a new service pattern. For me I'll use it and it's well worth the money.

    Obviously for some it's not.

There does seem a readiness on these forums to feel angst at every announcement.

I hope they've tweaked the physics, the cummins/voith one in Blackpool takes off like a rocket with associated mangling of the sounds.

I never said I didn't see the value in this...
I know. I wasn't saying it was £20. I was saying the 86 should never have cost £20...

Exactly the point some are missing! I’m sure JT put a great deal of work into this and if it was a new timetable for (say) Riviera Line going back a few years when the 142’s were still kicking about then the ask would have been a bit more tolerable, Price isn’t just a direct correlation of the work that goes into the product but the value the end customer will receive. For all the slight issues, the Class 86 and Mark 2F set was well worth the money.

Nah it deserved its price since you get 8 liverys and a set of four couches and all having two liverys

To you maybe, but there's no way in hell I'm paying £20 for a loco add on. Especially when it adds no services to it's home route because the 87 has them anyway

It’s actually a loco and rolling stock pack, anyways it’s just investment for their next route because the 86/4 probably won’t have passenger services but the 86/2 will

I'm actually fine with the price as it's JT but it's still same price as a loco add on. I'm always happy to pay extra where necessary for JT content because it's got the extra care and attention to detail.

What I'm not fine with is charging £30 for Cardiff when Blackpool was a better and bigger route with more of a network of branches that CCN is. Blackpool is beautiful, CCN some areas look like they've been done with MS Paint (looking at you Whitchurch) and there haven't been any motions to fix that despite all of the feedback. Which would be even more of a shame if that other post about DTG using CCN to trial these kind of routes is the last we see of anything like this.

I've always said the 153 is fantastic and the idea of the route itself is a great one. Id love it and it'd be a favourite if there had just been a little more care and attention. Its only annoying and so frustrating because I so desperately wanted this one to be good. :(

Kind of funny how the youth just throw trendy phrases around willy-nilly. How on earth is perceiving a product to be overpriced a "skill issue". Next you'll probably start saying 6 7...

I’ve bought all of Just Trains products on Day 1 as i like to support them. Unfortunately I will be leaving this one until DTG or JT make some improvements to CCN. I don’t normally complain about pricing but as I play on Xbox Series X, I cannot indefinitely keep throwing money at a game that has so many problems.

It's not JT's route to make any changes, DTG would need to do that.

Nothing to stop a bit of horse trading between DTG and the 3P's. And wasn't CCN actually a sub contract to Rivet anyway?

This game of DTG and 3P's arguing over which bug or feature is which party's responsibility has gotten old and boring very quickly.

I don't care about which dev has beef with another from 25 years ago when they were making MSTS add-ons, what internal drama they're dealing with, or differences in their artistic visions, or much of anything else besides getting the best gameplay experience for my $.

IMO it's all very simple- DTG are 100% responsible and should insist that 3Ps play nicely with each other if they want their content published.

Small example: why do we have 3 timetables for Shap when there only needs to be one? Because SHG and JT have beef over something (and again i do NOT care about the details) and JT wouldn't let them just update the original TT for CL4, which then had the knock-on effect of requiring a third TT for CL5 because DTG won't allow a DLC timetable to be dependent on another DLC. Awesome!

As a customer that is all beyond silly and I hope DTG will finally step up and address this before it gets any further out of hand. Especially as first-party releases have slowed quite a bit while they're DEFINITELY NOT working on the next gen train sim.

In my opinion the 86 is overpriced. In yours it isn't. It's that simple, well at least it is to me...

The issue for me is that there is only one route pack that these ‘new’ trains can be used on, and in that route pack there’s probably about two end to end journeys you can do. As discussed at length, as I understand it anyway, DTG said to cut the route down to the bare bare bones we have and so now this add on has nowhere really to stretch its legs. So, I can’t justify £12.99 for this. Extend the only route you can use it on to Barry Island and you’ll have a sale.

Yeah, it's a bit like that.

I actually enjoy the route more than most, especially for a quick session, but because the bit through Cardiff Central and up to Queen Street is so slow, it feels like it takes up 75% of the run!!

    It’s a £8 difference,

£12/13 for one train and sometimes a wagon

or £20 for a train with 8 liverys which multiple of them have different headlights etc, + 4 couches in both br and intercity

you do see the difference right?

Do you ever shut up? I explained that I personally feel £20 is too much for a loco add on. That is my personal opinion. I'm allowed to have that right? Because you are seriously acting as if I'm not.

Was just pointing out a flaw, like seriously it’s like complaining about buying a family size portion of food because it’s more expensive than a normal portion

Because duh you get more with a family portion/ the 86

than what you get with a normal portion/ normal loco pack

I wonder why all these people who are complaining about the length of the Cardiff route bought it in the first place? It wasn't as if the information was hidden away!

I also enjoy the route. It’s pretty well made apart from the aforementioned incomplete station building. Got it on sale and find it good for a quick blast in the Sprinters. Will also pick up the 142 to add variety and to support JT.

How about you grow up and act like the adult you claim to be and allow others to have an opinion. You know just like YOU like to have your opinion others will have theirs.

didn’t know you get a free couch either with the 86 pack must still be waiting for delivery of mine.

If there's a free couch included for £20, even I'll admit it's a good price.:)
In fact, I'll even buy it in TSW5 after 6

A dance movement (preferably performed by [censored]) that consists of a repeated hip movement, causing your [censored] to swing and shake in sync with the hips movement.

According to a Google search anyway. Basically, a dance move.

For the 153 and the 150, though the latter turned out to be a bit of a dud. I actually held off and waited for a slight sale (20% off) which sweetened things slightly. Also the naive view it might not be as bad as the pessimistic reports suggested. Sadly, it was but by then too late to refund.

There was also the forlorn hope that DTG/Rivet were doing this as an early access route and would seek to expand later, which of course has never happened.

A reminder here that PC Steam players can buy direct from JT so that they make more out of it (I know I will be).

When have they ever done an early access route that they would expand later? Why would this be the one to do it?

That's just setting yourself up for disappointment imo.

Personally i like CCN quite a bit, since not being local i don't even know what's missing.

It's a fun little network to zip around with lots of different service patterns and the 150 and 153 are quite full of personality.

The Pacer should be a good addition even though it's ridiculous that the TfW 150/153 is locked to this route.

Also would have been nice for them to add station announcements to CCN as it will probably never be touched again, and update the Pacer to the new core train announcements system.

But it's a cheap pack so it is what it is
