I downloaded a scenario from Rai-Sim.de for the Karawankenbahn https://rail-sim.de/forum/filebase/entry/9636-a-d-container-für-villach-wbh/ The player loco is an OBB 1216 Electric and having played it I wanted to run it with a Diesel. Swapping the player loco for a BR266 I get a message saying the Player Train Failed but with no reason. Nothing to do with Fuel in the loco - I checked that one. Any thoughts?
Could be lots of things: -A longer loco pushes the train further backwards, possibly causing signalling issues, which fucks up things for trains behind -The AI might route a diesel train over a route an electric loco would be unable to use, causing conflict -A slower speed loco messes up timings, which again causes issues for AI services
Why would the diesel be unable to use an electric route? I understand the other way round would be a problem And it is a timetabled scenario so all the other trains have booked paths otherwise the scenario would not work
Where did I write that? I wrote: "The AI might route a diesel train over a route an electric loco would be unable to use, causing conflict" In other words the exact opposite of what you claimed I wrote.
Yes, my bad - I mis read the comment. Normally the AI Does not route trains as for them to work they have to be timetabled.
