Hello. The aforementioned loco is currently on sale on PlayStation for £9.09. Thinking of buying it, after concluding from some reviews it may not be quire as bas as the ScotTail 170. Want to get opinions and insights from those who already own this in case I end up wasting my money. Shall I buy, hold off, or wait until the next sale?
Great addition to BCC route. One of the best add on packs we've had in years IMO. That may be because the base route was so sparse as compared to it's real life basis, but a great addition which will likely be used on many future routes. Easily worth £10.
It's decent if you have Birmingham Cross-City. Personal preference I guess. If you like the train irl and enjoy the route then I would say yes, otherwise maybe not?!
it’s a good route, but extremely boring given there’s literally the 323 and a couple of midnight freight runs. Having the Turbostar pack means i can finally see WCMLS AI at New Street
I believe the WMR and XC 170s also appear in the new Birmingham-Crewe route, with WMR doing short runs, and XC as AI. But I'll let someone else confirm that as I don't own that route.
Thanks guys. I’ve decided to purchase it. Played 07:44 BTM to Stansted Airport, and I must say I was proven quite wrong in some of my criticism. Hoping this will be a joy to drive from now onwards.
The new timetable with this and if you have all the layers, makes Birmingham New street amazing compared to before . Makes the route more enjoyable overall .
Defo agree. Only problem for me on Xbox, is that with all the layers on the 170 timetable, the dreaded blurring starts!!
