FYI, Game Pass Core no longer exists. The current plans are Essential, Premium, and Ultimate. All three plans have access to free play.
Pretty poor do that you're still shamelessly advertising B'ham to Crewe on Xbox, given the completely dysfunctional state it's in.
All i can say is get used to it, i hear that route is particularly bad but its still rare you find a good route that isnt heavy to crashes, or low scenery glitch on console, that isnt just an old 10 mile long, low timetable, with old ToD lighting route.
That’s true, but apart from S-Bahn Frankfurt it were mainly old addons on sale in October. It’s not comparable with the Sale that Steam and PlayStation players got. I am interested in getting the Pacer from Just Trains, but as Cardiff Network is never on sale on Xbox I will refrain from buying it. Well, let’s hope Xbox players will get an after Black Friday addon sale like last year.
A couple of thoughts. 1. With the peak anti-consumer move of not granting entitlements for previous versions of DLC (I for one sure didn't expect that, so DTG delivers on the Expect the Unexpected slogan in yet another disappointing way) the TSW6 Special Edition is easily not advisable to anyone that wants to have that content in TSW5. If I can't enjoy Zwolle or MBTA in TSW5 after purchase and collect my achievements there, and there are no way to earn them in TSW6 with a stupid decision to omit all DLC achievements, that's a huge NO from me. 2. Because of the above I really hope that content introduced in TSW5 will go on sale in their TSW5 versions, not TSW6 versions. Now, as a side note it's very typical of Dovetail. Here we are in a situation, where you can't enjoy your TSW6 purchase in TSW5, but can enjoy it in both games when you buy TSW5 editions. All because the yearly release schedule. Should be easy to put TSW5 content on sale, right? Now, normally, TSW5 add-ons should be the focus of the sale, as it is TSW5 that is on Game Pass and has plenty of content never discounted. However now the entry that is being pushed is TSW6, so naturally the publisher is inclined to put that game in the spotlight, and not the previous one. Tough choices, that are really unnecessary, but were carefully architected by Dovetail themselves. Self inflicted wounds. 3. DLC selection in the last Xbox sale was abysmal. I felt like I entered an antique shop (the only relatively new route was S-Bahn, which I bought, everything else felt truly like a museum - I can't imagine anyone wanting a TSW2 route and not managing to grab it somehow in the last 5 years). 4. If a Black Friday add-on sale would follow, I would like the selection based on what the PlayStation one offered. I would gladly pick up TSW5 versions of MBTA, Mildmay, Cardiff, and Ludwigsbahn, so I could grab all the achievements. If there is content without achievements, then I don't mind TSW6 versions (the 170, the Metrolink and Manchester Airport Commuter). I am really disappointed with the anti-consumer slap of missing entitlements and how it affects the consumers because for the yearly release schedule practice. We'll see what happens, the Black Friday game sale wraps up in two days, so maybe there is something around the corner.
