Do you guys think that Jointed Rail will ever consider releasing any content for Railworks? I think it would be nice considering that hardly any U.S. content gets released for Train Simulator anymore anyways. I think it would benefit them to release content for Railworks as they would probably make a lot of money off of it. And since North American content is hardly ever released for Railworks anymore.

Things that Searchlight Simulations port over from Trainz are JR stuff. their Teoli gondola's used in the AC44 steam package were theirs... JR.png

The SS freight car packs? Jointed Rail.

The SD70ACu and SD40-2's? Jointed Rail....

I dont see JR moving over themselves from Trainz to TSC, there is no reason too, and I believe anything of theirs that does make it to TSC will come thru SS.

Unfortunately, it seems like Searchlight Simulations has stalled.

Either the financial rewards were insufficient against the work needed?
JR's source material's owners do not cooperate anymore?

SS's locomotives and rolling stock are amongst the best, if not the best, for NA on TSC.

And an almost equally good series of locomotives has arrived for free ...

It seems they don't sell on Steam anymore either? Their CP AC4400CW is on Steam, but it seems DTG chose to do their own UP AC4400CW for the Tehachapi Pass route rather than use the SS one

I'm fairly sure the DTG UP AC4400CW predates the SS one. In any case the SS one is way too complex for a general route release.

I think SS suffer from making products that are too good too slowly.

SS AC4400CW released on Steam on October 8, 2020.
Tehachapi Pass route released on Steam on June 24th 2021.
    (Source: Steam website).
I don't THINK DTG had an AC4400CW model before that? (the ES44AC is the so-called GEVO, which was developed from the AC4400/"Dash 9" series, but has various technical differences)

As I said, DTG were never going to use Searchlight Simulation's AC4400CW in Techachapi as it's too complicated for general users. In any case it only existed as the CP version at that point and the UP version still isn't available.

I just think the dev's are busy working on TSC stuff, Simrail stuff, and their IRL work lives, they do this stuff on the side, and IIRC most of the Searchlight Simulation dev's work for railroads IRL, so their free time can vary depending on the day or month.

While I do have Trainz I just find the controls not very enjoyable and my custom route is in railworks and I have spent lost of money of railworks but the content for railworks just isn't very good quality and the stuff for Trainz is

I'm commenting on the OP's first comment, saying "I think it would be nice considering that hardly any U.S. content gets released for Train Simulator anymore anyway." And I'm just pointing out that there has been a recent release of a USA route.
