Oops here we go again. First off I am not saying this is gonna happen. But what if TSW and FSIM was to murge. Yes we know that flight sim is by Microsoft. That would mean Microsoft would have to buy DTG in order to make such thing happen. But once again first off this isn’t gonna happen. But just think of the game play of this idea. You’ll have real world flight and yet real world rails. A complete transportation franchise. Basically everything would stay the same as in graphic. TSW would have the same level of details. A little bit more updated version of it. Gz. One moment you’re flying your plane to gatewit airport. Then next at that airport your in the rails using 377 headed to Brighton. But once again this isn’t gonna happen. Just an idea on how interesting this could possibly be. You wouldn’t have to worry about fast travel. Because flight would literally take you there. Yet you’ll have that awesome real world weather service. Indeed this would be an extreme open world. So that you’ll have a complete overview of the entire world for rails and flight. But anyways this is only wishful thinking. But let the trolling begin.
Train Sim World and Flight Sim are entirely different games by different developers. Never gonna happen...
And as we know, DTG’s brief excursion into flight simming territory with FSW ended rather ignominiously. They struggled then with the technical side of the genre (sending the marketing girl to a big US convention) and given they seem to be on their knees to put TSW right any such title is not coming from them. And there’s no indication MS are keen to get back into train simming or any sort of conjoined transport game.
Going by the rate of development with train sim world and AI doesn't even want to get involved with this question! It would take centuries. A millennium maybe.
I'd be curious to know what you mean by trolling... if it's simply disagreeing with you, then perhaps you shouldn't be posting on a public forum. Especially since, as far as I'm concerned, I really appreciated your suggestion, both this one and the one in the other thread. We're not talking about something that's immediately feasible, of course. But it's somewhat the idea behind GTA, except that here, we're not talking about an invented world, but a representation of the real world. So in short, yes, it would be cool.
That depends on what being said. Mockery of trolling tends to Ike uh dominoes effect. One person does it then the other does it. Then the yawning start. Ppl can say what ever they wish. Troll it out. But at some point. The main topic has been voided. Gone and disappeared.
Yes, I understand that well and agree with this. But now, you can't avoid jokes that stray from the main topic, especially when talking about things that are so distant, far-fetched, even utopian, and above all, radical. As for myself I like to project far into the future, regarding TSW in particular, but it must be acknowledged that, unfortunately, as things stand, the priority is more on fixing what already exists than on contemplating the future. I deeply regret this, and it discourages people from engaging in foresight.
Oh indeed it ok to joke. Yes to have a some humor into that. It like slapping some peanut butter on some jelly or something. But Gz ppl can do as they wish. Troll if they like. But anyway TSW/fsim would be an awesome task if it was work on properly. Just imagine descending in uh 777x while looking at gate wick airport. Or looking at that 777x while in your 377 train. At the same time AI would be in control still both flight sim and TSW. This is just wishful thinking that all it is. But how cool it would be if they were actually serious. But that all no problem.
