Is there anyway to remove this, as I find it very distracting and also has a negative impact on my overall experience.
It’s just horrible seeing your dashboard and chair so visible. People will say it’s realistic.
True, but I would like to see to look out my cab and admire the amazing scenery I’m passing, rather than it being slightly limited in my FOV.

    Any solutions?

    Thanks.

    I know what you mean
The RSC Class 86 is a good loco and the AP Enhancement Pack made it better - apart from the reflections in the window.
I copied the RSC Cab Glass to the AP version and it is back to the way it should be.

Which locos are you having a problem with?

I was giving the London Waterloo to Portsmouth a run as I picked it up in the sale today among a few others. The loco has a very big reflection of a red chair taking up a lot of my view.
From what I own this seems to be the most visible when it comes to in-cab reflections.

I think it’s the class 444, 450 or the 455. One of those that are featured on the route.

I was searching for a mod to remove it, but my knowledge is fairly limited when it comes to TSC. Not sure what I’m looking for.

With the 444 & 450 from the Waterloo - Portsmouth Direct DTG put the reflections on the cab view -
A bit stupid as you would not see the red chair in real life as you are sat in it.
Screenshot_Portsmouth Direct Line - London Waterloo to Portsmouth_50.79600--1.07194_12-00-10.jpg
The 444 on the left is from PDL and the cabview is this
Screenshot_Portsmouth Direct Line - London Waterloo to Portsmouth_50.79601--1.07180_12-01-32.jpg
And you can see the reflections in the window.

The middle 444 is from the older pack and I copied the texture from that pack

    Now no reflections.

    Do you have this train?

I just bought the Class 444 and Portsmouth direct route :)

How do you copy the texture from the pack?

You will need 7Zip on your computer
    https://www.7-zip.org/
The top one is for 64bit computer and the one underneath is for 32bit.
Download the click on the file to install - it takes about 30 seconds or less.

I'm just typing the information for the next stage

    Go to this folder
\railworks\Assets\DTG\PortsmouthDirect - there you will see a file called PortsmouthDirectAssets.ap
Right Click then 7Zip - Extract Here - All the other files in the picture background will appear
    Screenshot (30).png

Open the RailVehicles folder then go to \RailVehicles\Electric\Class450\Default\CabView\TexturesSWT
You will see a file called glass.TgPcDx - rename it to glass.TgPcDx.bak
Renaming rather than deleting the glass.TgPcDx file means it is there if you wish to revert to default

Minimise this window and open another then go to
    \railworks\Assets\RSC\Class444Pack01\RailVehicles\Electric\Class444\Default\CabView\Textures
In this folder find a file called 7_glass_nm.TgPcDx COPY this file and past it in to
    \RailVehicles\Electric\Class450\Default\CabView\TexturesSWT
Then rename the 7_glass_nm.TgPcDx to glass.TgPcDx

    That should be it.
The 444 on the Waterloo - Portsmouth route uses the same cab textures as the 450

Thanks for the very detailed how-to guide. I will try this later when I get home and let you know how I got on.

I don’t have any WinRAR files though as I buy everything on steam and not third party websites (apart from the AP mods).
These texture files should be present though if I have all the above locos that you mentioned installed.

Did I mention WinRAR? If so it was an error
The only program you need in 7Zip - which is like WinZip but works with more files

No, my mistake. I assumed 7Zip and WinRAR are apart of the same family. To be honest I’ve never used 7Zip in my life. I like learning new things :)

749006 Hi I followed your steps tonight and it worked a treat. No more red chair reflections. Now I can fully enjoy the view. Many thanks.

One more question related to in-cab reflections. Is there a way to disable in-cab reflections on any train? As now I’m finding the Class 700 has a lot of them.

They was the reflections of the 444/450 was removed was to use an older cab window that did not have them.
I'm not sure what to use to replace the Class 700 windscreen - someone else might know.
