I’ve always felt that Romania deserves proper representation in TSW, and one of the most atmospheric, varied, and genuinely scenic lines that could fit perfectly is the Iași – Suceava Nord corridor. This route has everything: historic stations, classic Romanian rolling stock, long rural stretches, and plenty of operational variety.

    Why This Route?
The line links two major Moldavian cities and passes through a mixture of farmland, gentle hills, and small towns that feel authentically Eastern European without being repetitive. It’s a route where you feel the contrast between busy city terminals and quiet countryside halts.

    What Makes It Special
    • Iași Station – a large, iconic terminal with multiple platforms and heavy daily passenger traffic, perfect for immersive departures.

    • Pașcani – a busy junction where Regio and InterRegio services shuffle for priority, giving players realistic timetable challenges.

    • Suceava Nord – a strong finishing point with a blend of freight and passenger movements.

    • Realistic Romanian vibe – old catenary, weathered platforms, rural halts with simple shelters, and the unmistakable atmosphere of CFR’s Moldavian lines.
    Possible Rolling Stock
    • 060-DA (Class 60/62) Sulzer – the legendary Romanian diesel, used here on Regio services and occasional freight.

    • CFR Class 47 (LE 5100kW) – for electrics north of Pașcani if including the electrified sections.

    • Blue CFR Regio coaches and modern InterRegio coaches for varied gameplay.
    Gameplay Variety
    • Slow, atmospheric Regio trains stopping at all halts.

    • Faster InterRegio services with longer nonstop runs.

    • Occasional freight trains weaving through the timetable.

    • Manual turnbacks, loco changes, and realistic CFR procedures.
    Why It Fits TSW Perfectly
The route is long enough to offer meaningful runs but not too long to be unmanageable. It also mixes diesel + electric, has visually distinct stations, and brings something completely fresh to the game: a true Eastern European railway experience, something the community has wanted for years.

Europe has some of the nicest passenger stations. This sounds like a cool route idea. More countries are needed. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. The game is called Train Sim World.

Probably something a more local based third party would consider building, similar to the Czech and Portuguese routes currently in development. I know there was some Romanian content done for Trainz and there's a loco without stock or a route for TSC, but whether those developers would see a future in doing something for TSW is unknown.

    Beautiful route,
the first Romanian route I've ever seen in this forum.
    Enough description,
I'll give it a thumbs up as support.
    There's only one question left...
which cities do these trains pass through according to your
    description?

Thanks a lot! I really appreciate the support. Romanian routes almost never get suggested, so I’m glad this one caught your attention. As for the cities the trains pass through, here’s the main sequence based on my description of the Iași – Suceava Nord line: Iași → Podu Iloaiei → Târgu Frumos → Pașcani → Dolhasca → Verești → Suceava Nord There are several small rural halts in between, but these are the key towns and cities the passenger services run through on this route. It’s a nice mix of urban areas, farmland, and classic Moldavian landscapes.

I remember a lot of romanian content for TS (or maybe it was for Trainz). And there was a romanian "mission" in Transport Fever 2.
So I suppose there is a sizeable community of romanian railfans.
    Keep faith pal ;)

PS : why the hell did you get rid of our frantuzoaicele !!!

Nice and if I were you bring this to the KkSb era Bukovina. KkStb very easy to do because it's the old name of this OBB
