Not everyone has the same available time in Xmas. Some people will go far away to be with their family, so their gameplay time will be reduced (compared to a normal month). Some other people might live close to their family and might have a lot more time to play than usual. Since anyone can always play more after finishing the mastery, I suggest not to overload the mastery this month so everyone can be happy.
Fair point, but equally the last couple have been… underwhelming in terms of the mileage or AP requirements. In fact the biggest challenge has been the objectives and DTL fudging up and needing Support assistance to get it sorted.
I will try to finish the mastery before the support staff start their holidays. Chances of needing them are high.
Of course for December I now have the ETS2 Nordic Horizons Community Challenge to complete in addition to the TSW Mastery, though the SCS one runs through to the end of January.
I started with the Nordic Horizons event too. Dont forget we are going to get a Xmas delivery event soon. More stuff for the To-Do list coming.
Yes I reached Alesund yesterday evening so hoping to pick up a WOT job to Mo i Rana or Bodo later. Of course because the jobs have to be done within a very strict timeframe, if there’s not time to do one easy to pop back over to TSW and progress things there too.
Just started the December Mastery with a short Timetable by doing a temperature under 14 deg F on Spoorlijn Zwolle-Groningen route (SPR 8124 at 06:50) Tier 1 Cold Case did not register BUT the End of Year Rush one where you need to exceed 241 kph did. I only just exceeded 40 kph! Go figure.
I’ve stopped liking the fact that mastery now requires collecting collectibles. What am I supposed to do if I already collected all of them before? This feels kind of pointless to me. Does this mean it’s better not to collect anything on routes now — just in case it’s needed later?
The tier one requirements are easy: - Drive faster than 150mph (241km/h) - Play 4 timetables or scenarios with a temperature under 5°C / 14°F Still did not finish those, so I dont know what the tier 2 requirements are.
Shouldn’t that read 5C/41F? Sounds like someone got their 1 and 4 back to front. Exceeding 150 MPH is a bit crafty as it does mean owning either SEHS,, LGV or the German High Speed route, unless you deliberately exceed the speed limit. Has anyone opened up Tier 2 to reveal what that contains?
I never used the Fahrenheit scale so I had no clue, but Google says you are right. Guess DTG will need to fix it in the mastery.
Tier 2 drive 250 miles complete 300 objectives and do a timetable and collect one collectable and complete the service.
On PS5 the text disappears behind the right hand window, so I have to come in here to read the full description.
300 collectibles sounds like a lot. It's good that I have several routes where I didn't collect anything. However, it's still an awful lot.
Hi everyone. Can anyone recommend a route for the new challenge where I can reach the required low temperature? I've changed the months and selected nighttime, but I just can't reach the required 14°F. Does anyone have any tips? Thanks!
DTG made a mistake when they wrote the description of the challenge. It says 5C / 14F but 5C is actually 41F.
Objectives, station stops etc., not collectibles. A few runs on Cardiff City or Birmingham to Crewe should knock that out the park. Or you could do any bus stop route such as the DC Lines from Euston to Watford. Could be good fun.
Ah, okay, thank you. I hadn't thought of that, of course, and couldn't see the full °C reading. Thanks again.
Hmm, I don't know what I read it with the first time, but now I have doubts that it was the eyes... Thanks for correcting me.
