    When the team has time today, I'll ask about any updates that may be missing from the summary (sometimes a few patch notes are sent out after we send out the community updates), but for now, assume that is all that will be done in this current update.

    That’s very disappointing considering how long this DLC has been out now, and clearly they knew it was completely broken on release! Going to be like most of the DLC with things just left and not getting fixed!!

    Kezz did reply, I don't know if there will be a future update, but these are the updates for the next patch that's coming, probably tomorrow, but we'll confirm it's going out as soon as it's ready.

    PS5 Pro (Build no.767, DLC version 1.003.000)

    After the update there are absolutley no performance or texture improvements to speak of.

    Extremely dissapointed doesn‘t cover it really. At this point I don‘t really care anymore who is to blame, or if it‘s a route, train or core issue. I feel like an idiot for buying this day one. Uninstalling now until I see feedback that it is playable.

    Shame we cant get a refund anymore!..
    Day 1 was it'll be fixed next week.. ok ill wait..
    That tured into the week after.. ok ill wait..
    That turned into today.. ok ill wait, 3 months is enough time to fix something..

    Turns out not!!
    DTG should be offering a direct refund for this route!! And we can decide if we want to re purchase if it ever gets fixed!

    So, after booting this up on Xbox post update, Crewe is now stuttering to the point I'm getting around 30fps. Stafford is still blur central, and Birmingham area is just atrocious. Has this actually been QA'd and pushed to us? I mean really?

    Unsurprising this doesn’t look very encouraging.

    I’m uninstalling and reinstalling the main game and then updating Crewe Birmingham to see if that makes any difference.

    1U28 crewe to euston, 11.31 with the 350, still getting out of memory error before route even begins. xbox series x

    Service 1u27, class 350, ps5
    Got the Double lock doors prompt
    No announcements - got 1 coming into crewe
    (Done another service) Only seem to start after coming into the first station on a run..
    Door fault even though they are off
    Extremely stuttery
    Extreme foliage popping
    Extreme OHLE popping
    Draw distance has been poor
    AWS still doent trigger for TSR
    Some AWS magnets will sound the buzzer 2 times
    Train sound popped in and out a few times


    Admittedly the Blurry textures are better (on the north half of the route) so far.. still there but akin to the old blurry bug.. it goes quickly.. or its on much less important things.. like bridges ect!
    Stutter is definitely worse though!
    Again only the northern half of the route yet to try the south

    AI service 9S47 London Euston to Glasgow Central at Wolverhampton, time 09:34, in reverse formation. So well done on sorting the formations :)

    also on Xbox x and it works for me but I’ve put quality to HD as 4K is so unreliable

    Was all pretty smooth apart from Smethwick Rolfe Street again. Low fps and high GPU usage.

    Maybe we didn't get the correct patch. Hopefully can be sorted.

    It feels exactly like it did before, but we can now drive a 153 a bit more. I'm struggling to find any positive.

    When it displays your next stop. example its say cosley 1 now should it cosley platform 1 instead.

    i put this in the category of "just take layers off and it works better" though...it shouldn't be required just to play the game

    Do we know if the AI SPAD's (there was one around 1715) are still happening? I'm about to start a run on the route but wary of doing anything running around that time.

    I just finished an hour job starting at 17.16 and finished in crewe and no ai spads.

    Ok so Ive done a few runs now..

    Objectively... is it better... yes.

    Is it up to a standard Im happy with from a publisher on year 10.. No not yet unfortunately!

    Okay here's something I picked up straightaway. Not sure what work has been done on bridge reverb (if any) but approaching Penkridge in the Down direction, from about two miles out I am getting reverb effects keep playing when not actually under a structure. They fade off for a couple of hundred yards then come back.

    On PC, the route improved considerably, but when I get close to Crewe the FPS drops to 7...

    Well to be fair, other than the reverb issue above I haven't encountered any dramas so far.

    The misaligned gantries south of Penkridge appear to have been dealt with.

    I couldn't hear any Stafford announcements miles from the station.

    The Class 350 braking curve is much more progressive and you don't hit your nose on the windscreen any more. Though I would caveat the motion oscillation is still there a bit as evidenced by the accelerometer in the HUD jittering.

    The double despatch at some stations has been left in which is a pain as it means you can't regain a few seconds by starting the door close sequence without risking borking the run.

    But all in all, not bad and running fast along the winding section from Stafford to Crewe remains one of the more enjoyable and zen venues in TSW.

    Signalling approaching Stafford from Crewe is wrong.
    Up Fast to Platform 1 should be:

    SC3602 2 Yellows
    SC3600 1 Yellow
    SC3598 approach released from Red RI 1

    currently its:
    SC3600 2 Yellows
    SC3598 1 Yellow RI 1

    This game was really rushed when I bought day 1 I got refund next day I'll rebuy when things improve don't no when lol

    The update was sent out this AM, if you are experiencing issues after the update, (that aren't listed above), post them below I've got to get tickets made.
    I'm also going to ask about game build numbers to be 100% sure.

    "Thanks everyone for all the feedback and discussion over the past few weeks that led to this patch being produced. We wanted to give a bit of clarity about how this patch came together and what the next steps look like.

    The fixes you are seeing today were completed some weeks ago during three very busy days over a single weekend. Most of these came from us and the DTG community team going through the forums and highlighting around fifteen key issues that needed urgent attention. Once that development work was finished, the patch entered QA, testing and platform submission, which naturally takes additional time before it can be released.

    DTG have since kindly pulled together a full and definitive list of all remaining issues reported across the community, and we are very grateful for the work they put into this. Many of the outstanding items require deeper changes where we have to break existing elements in order to fix them properly, which can create knock-on effects. This is why these larger fixes need additional QA and review time. We were keen to get a solid bulk of initial improvements out to you as soon as possible, and that is exactly what this key patch focuses on.

    Obviously this is our first product, and while it is working well for the majority of players, we know that some of you, particularly on Xbox Series S, are still experiencing issues that we are not happy for you to be dealing with. Unfortunately this is part of a wider challenge affecting many third-party developers as well as DTG, but we fully acknowledge our responsibility in helping to improve optimisation and reduce these problems as we move forward.

    Appreciate the effort you are putting in here..

    This is not aimed at you personally as you seem to be carrying this place almost single handed... correct me if im wrong.. (I often am)
    but isnt AAS a UK studio??
    Would it not make sense for DTG to have had one of the CMs this side of the globe doing all this.. as at the moment only ever 'one side' is in the office at a time so the quickest anything gets seen is tomorrow?

    Again to reiterate... I get this isnt your choice my criticism is solely aimed at the higher ups at DTG

    Also thanks for the info from Discord!
    Its a shame devs arnt providing this half of the community with the same information directly

    I think „additional QA and review time“ would have been a good idea before release. It should never have gone out in this state, first DLC for the dev team or not (even more reason in my opinion. However I still feel this is a core issue more than anything).

    A couple of (maybe) minor ones.
    P1 on the PBC still sometimes needs two keypresses to engage despite the first one showing the throttle in that position.

    The 350/1 now seems to have a bit too much drag. Descending the 0.6% gradient into Crewe speed is falling off and I'm actually having to keep light power on to maintain it.

    Ahh, I wound up taking over since I had time/ability to do so, plus it's my first DLC release since joining, so I kinda made it my goal to get it reported. I also happen to be on at the same time as a lot of the AABS folks (which is odd, but we're rolling with it).

    We also don't talk about the fact that I pop in at odd hours too and get major issues reported during UK times.

    With the ongoing issues with this DLC and as you've quoted from Danny from all aboard studios that some deeper changes to be resolved they have to break existing elements wouldn't it be better to remove this DLC from sale till it is upto a standard that is playable on all devices ? And give customers the option of a refund or ability to get the dlc back once its properly fixed instead of patching and breaking other elements like what's been shown in this feed this afternoon since the update has come out.

    You know, this is a good question.

    I'll address it like I did a few days ago. Simply, "No.", but for more detail: we've got to pay the studios that make the content, and they have to pay folks like the DTG team that work behind the scenes to make fixes. While it's not a perfect release, many enjoy it, and have purchased it.

    While I make 0 decisions on keeping it in or out of the store, it's one of those things where we have to pay for the people to make and fix the route, and can't do that without sales. Granted, I will say that although it's had its fair share of needing fixing, this is one of the most responsive dev teams and fastest I've seen issues fixed compared to other games I've worked with. [and those other games had biiiig money]
