Well, it's kind of my job to act as the community voice to the devs. There are a few reasons:

1. I can talk to all of you one-on-one, compile a list of issues, create tickets for those issues, and get everything summarized so that the devs just get handed a ticket with the issues, and don't have to weed through comments and such.
2. I do a lot of removing non-actionable feedback. "this is BS" or "I HATE EVERYTHING" are going to get trimmed out of a feedback summary. Quite simply, it's demoralizing to have that sent to you every day, and its one of those "Okay, and?" type of comments.
3. People sent death threats and hate mail to the devs and teams who have popped in here and discussed issues or tried to talk to the community. I read quite a few and said I'll either talk to folks or someone on the community side will. It wasn't just this route either; the community is rather passionate, but sometimes not in the best of ways.
4. The Forums do allow people to be their worst selves sometimes, and can create a very toxic environment, to the point where Devs just don't want to reply. We've seen it happen some on Discord and Facebook, but not as much lately.
5. Chatting with the community takes a lot of time. I have a great personality type for it, and I don't get drained doing it. Devs aren't usually extroverted, so it's harder for them to spend time with the community-there are obvious exceptions. It also means they spend less time on fixes and issues, and my job is basically to help free them up so they can focus on the dev work they need to do.

Just a heads up, though, there are around 6 or 7 feedback threads for this one route. I usually have an easier time with just 1, so it takes time for me to get back to everyone.
