I believe it’s been widely reported, the local door opening isn’t correct. Only one leaf should open until the full door release is put up. Also, and this is one for those who sign/signed them on the mainline, for the driver to leave the train other than at a station how do they do it? Do they have to operate the door control switch and release the local door? Or is there a treadle in the cab? The Sprinters have a treadle I believe.
They would come out of the cab, use the DKS and local controls, once outside they'd close the door from the outside. They would then repeat the process in reverse to get back in. In theory the guard only enables their door control switch when they get to the door area and then disable it when moving away (so the driver can operate it at his end should he need to alight).
Enjoying this. I lived in Radyr and Llantrisant in the mid '90's, working at the Royal Mint. Didn't use trains as I drove everywhere, but went to/from Cardiff once. Can't recollect anything though, probably all changed. Likely to have been noted but the mastery asks of two timetable runs in a lightning storm. Selecting this gives you snow but satisfies the criteria anyway.
1.142 only half the door should open when local open is pressed the other half opens when all doors are released and the door closing alarm should not sound when local door close. 2. 150 and 153 not appearing in list to spawn in free roam with atw colours only tfw
On the TrainsimTV livestream a few days ago he mentioned that they had planned on it being spawn-able but then discovered due to some issue with the way TSW is set up, they can be included for sub layers but not as spawn-able vehicles as in order to be spawn-able in free-roam you need to own that particular DLC and to put that livery in there as spawn-able in free-roam would effectively give people those trains for free, sorry I've not exactly worded it the best but I hope you get what I mean
It was 40% off on PC sale a couple of weeks back and I still didn't get it, watching that stream with JT's 142, the route is just too damned small. I'm still waiting for a 60%+ sale, hopefully comes in Steam winter sale, though I may hover over the purchase button if it's 50% off and I'm in a good mood that day!
I thought the 142 might redeem it but my original well documented views still stand. Yes you now get the 30+ minute run from Coryton to Radyr via Cardiff then the City Line, but it only takes that long because it’s the ultimate bus stop and the 15 MPH crawl from Queen Street to the other side of Ninian Park.
True Vern, however at least as that is end-to-end running it means you can stay on the set for several runs instead of jumping off at some random shack. I bought the Pacer for two reasons, I know someone will eventually give it some late BR era liveries as well as some period appropriate liveries for stuff like MAC and secondly, to try and give CCN a bit more life and more of a chance and to be honest I played CCN more since getting the Pacer than I did before, maybe a whole 3 hours :/
Just to follow on from my previous post, I do feel a bit sorry for the JT team here, they've made a good train and the timetable is good too but they just picked the completely wrong route. CCN should just be left to die, it's beyond saving short of actually lengthening the damn thing. JT could easily have opted to do the pacer on MAC instead, the 150/2 would still be available for layering as would a lot more services across the route, maybe it was a licencing thing :/ It's a shame as MAC falls just short in some areas and a Pacer era timetable would have helped give that more of a kick too.
I think unfortunately JT started working on this pack when the route was starting development back in January from what Tom said on his pacer stream. I'd wager that JT committed to it before the route got cut down and then by the time it was finalised they couldn't really turn back and had done a lot of the work?
Is it me, or did Rivet/DTG fail to place any mileposts on this route? Going to take a closer look tomorrow but I couldn't spot any between Heath HL and Queen Street. Will continue to investigate tomorrow finishing the run to Penarth.
No mileposts seen between Radyr and the Bay - that's poor work. Had a free roam off west from Cogan, you get the tunnel and some basic scenery to about Eastbrook before falling off the world. Was hoping it might go a bit further on.
Looks kinda similar to this (https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/nec-new-york-stamford.93286/page-4#post-1073227)
Class 153 TPWS isolation switch does not work correctly. It should isolate/unisolate the TPWS temporarily when used and this should be reflected in the iso light on the panel (top left of cab). However, what actually happens is that if you twist it in either direction you permanently isolate TPWS, although you will not get a light to tell you it is isolated. But it is and I have tested this over TPWS loops and then compared against another trains behaviour on the same loops to make sure. You have to toggle the fuse to get it back on.
