After the last route release we got i to am voting with my wallet now and only buying when on sale. The new Kent line i will let it release see reviews if its positive i will on full price to support a new developer but apart from that now its a no no from me
Medway and Preston to Crewe the only two I've really got my eye on. Tadami, well yes if it comes out and the Czech route but as I think I said earlier in the thread got a feeling that's a long way off. Been watching a couple of streams of the Stuttgart route and think my decision to wait for a 50% off sale is vindicated. More than enough German content to keep me going and while the 140 would be nice, doesn't justify dropping £30 for the whole package.
I'm really hoping the next route add-on will be the Crewe - Preston then that way I will be able to do Birmingham - Crewe, Crewe - Preston and Preston - Carlisle in one shot, albeit between the three different dlc.
Yes that would be a nice way to kick off one of the 2026 Monthly Mastery mileage challenges. You could at a push drop in WCMLS too, then just hyperjump the 70 or so miles from MKC to New Street!
I'am looking forward to this as well & you will be pleased to know its just been Official announced by DTG for the 27th January 2026 with a confirmed preview stream Tomorrow Night 21st January 2026 Assuming all go well
As I just commented in one of the 805 threads it looked like there was a little blooper from Matt that far from Trent Valley still being very much WIP it’s actually entered beta testing. That brings the very real possibility of a late winter/early spring glut of releases if Medway Valley and Crewe to Preston are not far off. Hopefully DTG will have the good sense to stagger them and this is definitely a situation where a discounted Season Pass would have been handy. For those of us who follow other sims too, SimRail have their CD 163 loco add on releasing next week and their next route extension is anticipated in February. Though neither their loco nor route are likely to be anywhere near as expensive as their TSW counterparts. Edit: After watching part of the preview stream that CD 163 is drop dead gorgeous, particularly the sounds. Day One. Just take my money etc., etc. Though probably means switching back from the beta version to the stable release to get the best from it in MP. Can’t buy it all at the same time so an element of triage needed!
Yeah. And it comes with lots of liveries (around 10?). Hell, even if you dont buy it you still see it as AI or driven by other players in MP mode.
It’s strange Crewe - Preston has gone quiet, especially considering JT have already shown WIP shots of their next project. Was really hoping we would have heard more by now.
given how consistently brilliant all of their content has been, it wouldn’t surprise me if they were waiting for the core issues to be patched to a somewhat more palatable level before they release it. Pure speculation of course but I would be surprised if that wasnt a factor
True, especially given how folks on here jump on devs for issues with the routes that are almost certainly down to core issues and not the route or rolling stock itself :/ I worry that might be a case of wishful thinking, if it was just stuck in the DTG rubber stamp waiting room then they'd have been releasing teaser's, devs blog and TSTV videos on it to get us hyped up :/
If it is in QA then JT have been less forthcoming with publicity than previous releases. I suspect it is further behind than many want to believe. It will be ready when it is ready. I am happy to wait and be patient.
Not really they went silent during the main QA time for the 86, we would only get a few roadmap dev logs during this time and then about 3 weeks before release they started doing more if I’m remembering correctly
